Umano Underground Slums

Sophie had been slamming her head into a wall over and over...while sitting on a comfortable bed. Her time here was no longer fun to her since the damn Yukino knew her weakness. Now she was trying to get what little pleasure out of this by self-injuring her head. However the sound of a sickeningly happy voice stopped her, gazing at the now opened door to freedom and to the bubbly girl that was her savior. She wanted to puke right there as she got up and walked out. "Bout fucking time." The Doll user looked for her cards, grabbing it once she had it, then looked at those that were still alive but trapped by Chris. A smirk came to her face as Sophie had a delicious idea that would surely cheer her up. "Did you know that red is psychologically the most noticed color of them all? For some reason people always look at the red before any other color." A dreaded and dark energy emanated from the girl that was now smiling quite quite wide and insanely as she got closer to a Resistance member. "While it wasn't perfect service, I say these guys gave me a nice time during my stay. So I think I'll repay the favor and paint the place with a nice red color. Don't you girls think so?" Laughter could be heard as miniature but still tall version of Alice, Ginny, Leslie and Catherine appeared, each reaching for a trapped Resistance member and ready to use their body parts as paintbrush, childishly painting the walls, doors, and rooms red as Sophie laughed before ready to leave with Chris, happy to be leaving with the sounds of anguish and excruciating pain ringing in her ears.

Darren was escorted back to the Resistance Base. By the time he got there, he was able to move normally. Rose's Angels were miracle workers. It was all the better for him, though. He could get right back into the action. He took a moment to look at his units. Sin Buster appeared next to him.

"We were able to defeat the Star Vader, but you had no energy remaining to battle the Reaper."

"I know... I think its more than my eyes that are holding me back. You guys are still connected to the Seeds. If we connect then the fragments in me get defiant."

"Will you stop using us in battle for that reason?"

"No, if I do that, I can't fight at all. Besides, its not your fault you were made with that power. I can handle it with a bit of time. I just never did anything like that before."

"You've already tapped into our power in a way that Malice could not."

"Yeah but with enemies like Halcion and Tomato Head along with all her other drones... I wonder if that's even gonna be enough. Only one way to know, and that's to go in."

Xat went to the base to relax and try to figure out what is happing to her. As she walked into the base she heard someone talking but didn't know who it was, and thorught it might be a bad idea sence all that has happen.

She layed on the ground and looked at the sky with sigh, everything was happing so fast all the attacks, and her guilt for leaving them during the battle with the dolls. "Should I even be here?" She asked outloud knowing no one will answer her the guilt was slowly consuming her.

Darren closed his eyes as he thought back to his battle. Halcion said that humans didn't deserve to live, that they will only continue to destroy themselves if allowed. Darren himself didn't even feel human anymore. He fought against the Reverse soldiers single handed without even having having a Reality Bangle. Whatever he was, he still wanted to protect everyone and give the world a future.

"I shouldn't overthink it, but I really am different..." he muttered to himself. "Well, who better to stop freaks then a freak like me?" He gave a small laugh before beginning to walk. He walked past a girl who was on the ground. He hoped she was okay, but she didn't look familiar at all. Probably just someone who needed to rest after what happened.

Xat heard someone pass by and sat up seeing someone new., she instently went on guard. "Who are you?" SHe asked him as she stood up, and looked at the person. SOmething seemed familar about him but she couldnt remeber what.

Darren blinked as it sounded like someone was speaking to him. He turned to her and waved his had. "Hey there. The name's Darren," he said to her. "Not gonna be a bother. Just getting things ready for the next big fight. I'm guessing you just had a pretty nasty one yourself."

Xat eyes widden when she heard his name. "Darren....Then we were sucessful in saving you. It's good to see you again." SHe said as she felt something fall down her face, she reached up to wipe it off only to relize it was tears. "You can say that." She said trying to stop her tears from flowing and to hid the doubt in her voice and heart. SHe was so gald to see Darren was alive that she didn't know what to do and yet she kenw that he didn't remember her by his greeting.

After the events of the tournament and the battle, Seifer returned to the underground, Mordred Phantom walking next to him. Sad to say, other than one being a dark elf with massively long, dull silver hair, they could of passed for twin brothers. In any case, Seifer didn't say much of anything on the return, and neither did Mordred. Blaster Dark had left a while ago, if only to check on Yukino. Aedan had seen Aoi run off, but didn't know why she did... So he'd tried to follow her somewhere... He still hasn't come back.

With most of the Resistance back on their feet, or at least stable enough to return to the medical bay, Rosalia took her leave from the battlefield. Hey, even the medic needs a rest. Since three of her four units vanished from sight, Asmodel was the only one to return with the pinkette healer and her fiancé. The Angel Feather would have disappeared from sight as well, but given the fact Mordred was still hanging around, why couldn't she? Asmodel remained quiet though, if just following behind Mordred and tried catching one of the long strands of silver hair.

I'm tired.. but I think I'm still awake because I'm a bit hungry... Rosalia thought to herself, glancing up at her fiancé. She clung to his arm as they walked, pressing her cheek against his bicep. "Well, everyone seems to have made it out in one piece. I'd say it was a good day," she mused, trying to start any sort of conversation between them.

"I wouldn't say everyone." the male stopped, looking at the walls of the base, eyes half shut. Of course.

"What?..." Mordred started, staring at the walls in utter disgust, not even noticing the angel trying to grab at his hair.

"She should of just killed her. Instead this is what happens when you take mercy on people like that." Seifer's usual cheer was replaced with a grim demeanor. Turning to one of the nearest surviving members he'd ordered for everyone to start a clean up of the base. Wouldn't do for their commander, and their glorious heroes to see it like this. "How irritating." he sighed, scratching the side of his head.

How Seifer was currently acting brought a frown to Mordred's lips, but he chose not to question or correct the brunette. After all, they were of one mind. Have been since Seifer impaled himself on Blaster Dark in an attempt to calm Yukino's blood lust back in the previous war.

Rosalia tilted her head when Seifer stopped, then mentioned something about killing her. Well, as far as she was concerned, the pinkette had no clue as to what he was rambling about. She was quiet until after the male had issued the cleaning order to the base, and only then did she hug his arm tighter. "Can we just take a rest for a bit?.. We won today, and nobody is seriously hurt..." she pointed out quietly, hoping that the brunette wouldn't remain so.. irritated. "L-let's get something to snack on?.. I could go for something sweet." She considered getting the remaining pocky that she had in her dress pocket, but wondered what Seifer was in the mood for.

Of course, eating right now may not be the best idea. A glance away from her beloved, and Rosalia finally took notice of their surroundings. Blood was just... everywhere... It made her feel sick, even after being on the battlefield with a Reaper. There's just.. so much blood.... Whoever did this, if its... ulgh... fresh... would still be around, right?... I'm gonna be sick... She clung tighter to the male's arm, shutting her eyes as she tried to forget everything around her. For a medic, she was awfully squeamish when it came to just buckets of blood painted on the walls.

Meanwhile, seeing Mordred completely oblivious to her, Asmodel decided to try braiding a small portion of the elf's hair. She didn't expect to get very far, but hey, a game was a game.

Darren's eyes flashed for a moment. The purple glow would be hard to see but it was enough to tell him that she had a unique energy to her. He turned his head so she wouldn't see his eyes. "Sounds like you knew me before things happened. Wish I could remember you, but I guess that's one of the things that didn't come back. Sorry about that. I can see that you are suffering as well... an energy connected to another world that is probably effecting you thanks to certain distortions. Distortions like me...

The brunette didn't respond to the pinkette, instead rolling up his sleeves and joining in cleaning up the mess, there alongside the grunts of the resistance who were cleaning the walls... All rather disgusted with the job they had to do. It was definitely hard to clean up the remains of their comrades off the walls and just... everywhere. The brunette himself however didn't seem to have a tinge of disgust on his face. Only a neutral look the entire time, as if he was used to this kind of thing. Truth is he wasn't. He was absolutely revolted, trying not to walk away from it, as the blood was slowly washed away from the walls.

Mordred watched the Vanguard he was bound to go to work, when he felt something messing with his hair from behind. Turning his head slightly, he finally saw the angel messing with his hair. "Uh, what're you doing?" the elf stared at the angel, not liking his hair being touched... Though he usually probably never noticed.

Rosalia frowned when Seifer started to help out with cleaning, almost wanting to just sit in the corner for the duration of it. She really didn't feel too well, but if he was going to help out, then she should too. She rolled up the sleeves of her dress, pushed back her shawl and scarf to make sure they didn't get dirty, and helped out with scrubbing the blood and extra pieces off the wall. She was going to hurl after this, but for now, swallowed anything acidic that started to come up her throat. Really, it was nasty.

Asmodel only grinned in return at Mordred's stare, holding her hands up as if surrendering. "Playing a game~ Guess I lost, since I didn't get very far with the braid~" The angel shrugged as she looked ahead to where their Vanguards were cleaning with some of the other Resistance members. "Would you like to help with cleaning?" Even if the elf said no, Asmodel immediately went to Rosalia's side to assist. If anything, the angel could help keep the pinkette from getting sick.

Mordred watched after Asmodel before sighing. They really should help out, and as such, Mordred went to assist Seifer in cleaning as well. It took quite a while, but finally with all of the combined efforts... the walls were no longer covered in the sickly red color that it had been previously. The grunts all groaned, either getting sick finally or just hurting from the work. Seifer however just turned on his heel, walking around the base and just... looking. He wasn't even looking for anything in particular. Just... Looking.

By the time the blood was washed away, bloodied scrubs disposed of, Rosalia needed some air. She didn't leave Seifer's side, but rather clung to his arm again while regulating her breathing. She really hated what happened to the victim here, but this amount of blood was something no one should have to clean up. Unless, ya know, you're weird and like cleaning boatloads of blood...

"Feeling okay?..." the pinkette asked quietly, looking up at her six-foot tall fiancé. He really didn't seem to be his usual self; the brunette looked to be spacing, or thinking, more than normal.

After cleaning, Asmodel was dismissed for the time being. She vanished into pale blue and pink sparks of light before the sparkles faded from existence. She did wave to Mordred as she disappeared though, even if he ended up ignoring her in return.

Xat closed her eyes and sighed knowing she was right about him not rembering her. "No its not disorations, in fact i'm suffering because of what I can do. I can feel it all...their pain, their suffering. I can look at someone and by there aura know if something is bothering them and how they are feeling. I'm not an emptah in fact im an assassin shaman who happens to be a decendet of the spirit country." She said with sadness feeling her heart this was the life she was given and it was one that was talking its toll on her.

She pulled out her phone and sent a text to Aoi. "I need to talk to you, can we meet somewere?" it said, then she sent it before looking back at Darren. "Your aura is telling me that you are hurting in a way. I guess its easy to mask emotions behind a mask." SHe told him

Darren turned to her upon hearing her words. She knew he was hiding how much his situation was bothering him. He shook his head for a moment before giving her a smile, the same smile he gave to everyone. "Don't sweat it. I'll be alright." Hearing her affliction made sense, though it was still caused by the distortions that the Reapers were making. All the pain she felt was their doing in one way or another. "I've got nothing to hide..." He looked at her again, his eyes giving another flash. That energy was spiritual, not quite the same as what others used up to this point. The Emotions of Spirits, they were giving her the sensations of what many people were feeling all at one time. It must have been hard.

"If you can feel so much all at one time, you should learn how to control that. Sounds like a headache having so much in your heart at one time." He wondered if maybe he should go. She would probably have a lot to do herself with things being as they were for her.

Mordred waved bye before disappearing himself. Should probably give Seifer some time to himself with Rosalia anyway.

Seifer let the pinkette tag along with him, going to a secluded area, and pulling out his phone. After finishing with the cleaning, it was time to relay the message.

'Karin's waiting for you. Go save here where I failed.' hitting send, the message made it's way to his older sister, and he just... sat down on a bench... staring up at the dull light.

Xat smirked at him. "My power is not that easly controlled its hard i will give you that, however someone once told me that giving up is not a way to go, and that you have friends that will help you." SHe told him before looking away and sensing the others nearby.

Darren gave a small grin. "Maybe we did know each other before," he said to her as that did sound like something he would say. He gave a wave and said, "I'm heading out. See ya later, Xat." He didn't know where that name came from. It sounded right. He started to walk away after that. He noticed the place was a mess, but many people were working to clean it. His help wasn't needed for something like that.

Xat smiled and sent a wave back before starting to help clean up the mess, though she was suffering on the inside, he had a point her power needs control but yet there was no one around that can really teach her. After all she was the last remaing person of her birth kind.

Rosalia didn't ask about the text, though she did check her own pocket to make sure her phone was still there. Seeing that it was, and Seifer wasn't talking, she sighed to herself and withdrew a box of pocky she had gotten from the tournament. Keeping one arm around his, the female nibbled on the chocolate stick quietly. Her gaze wasn't focused on anything specific; just staring out at the sky with her beloved. Maybe doing nothing was a good idea right now. It was better than having to fight another Reaper right this second. She did, however, pull out her deck with one hand, carefully looking through it since she was still hugging onto Seifer's arm. Her eyes stopped on the Grade Three she had gotten from the shop at the stadium, but did not summon during the battle to help: Solidify Celetsial, Zerachiel. It was an older Celestial card, but something felt right to fit in her new deck set up, even with her two Legions. I'm sure you'll be helpful with the upcoming battles, but I guess we just have to wait and see. We probably won't be fighting unless necessary, anyways. We have a more important role on the battlefield...

Then the pinkette considered just how she was able to use this healing ability. It was strange to her, and probably even weirder to everyone else. But, if it helped win the war, then she had a place in the Resistance. Just thinking about it made the warm light emit from her deck, a small smile forming on her lips before putting the cards away. "Feeling okay?" Rosalia asked out of the blue, finally looking up to her fiancé.

There was a lot running through his mind as he just stared. He failed in the tournament again, lost against Karin like he was nothing, and even though he was just clearing the way for everyone... He was pushed to the side with relative ease by the deletor. Was he even useful anymore? ...His fiance's voice finally broke through his haze as she asked again if he was okay. Looking down at the pinkette at his side he stared for a moment, then gave a gentle smile. "I'll be fine..." he spoke softly, leaning his head against her's, shutting his eyes and trying to relax. Maybe he didn't really need to be useful.

Rosalia didn't quite believe him, but she wasn't going to pester. If she was here just to keep him company, then she would do so without complaint. She kissed the male's hair lightly before relaxing with their heads together. It was nice and quiet, or as quiet as could be with the Resistance Headquarters. Their units weren't summoned to reality, and it could just be them for a little while. She felt like humming, if just to keep herself awake for now, though she had a different idea come to mind as she nudge her lover's head lightly. "Ya know, you should sing that song for me~ I'm kidding, but maybe after all of this is over, you can be an idol!~" Snort. "Joking, joking! But.. Once all of this is over, for real... No more Reapers, no more Drones or havoc of the Link Joker Invasion.... What are we going to do?... It's like... really hard to imagine what the world is to be normal anymore..." Just what was the future that they were fighting for?...
