Beach

Rosalia perked up when she heard her name, and hyperness immediately took over for a moment. "Anytime Noely~ And okay!~" Seeing as she finished Noel's sunscreen, the pinkette was off in a flash. She wasted no time in running back to the beach shop extravaganza. No one dared to get in her way as she scouted out the beach boogie boards... By the time she returned to the group, only a solid five minutes had passed, and the female was carrying four boogie boards with various designs: black and purple tribal, blue and yellow fish, an red-orange sunset, and pink hibiscus. For the most part, it was easy to tell which board was whose as she passed them all out. Keeping the pink one for herself for obvious reasons, the colors of the boards matched everyone's suits: violet for Seifer, red-orange for Darren, and blue for Noel.

"To victory!" Annnnnd there she goes. With the boards passed out, Rosalia took her's and ran towards the ocean, barely slowing down as she hit the edge of the waves. She eventually stopped when the water almost reached her shoulders, though was happy as a clam with just swimming in circles with her board while waiting for the others. "Weeeeee-" Cue small wave crashing on her head, and spitting out salt water...

Seifer breathed out slowly, shaking his head and smiling. She had to much energy and it was endearing. He however? The male laid down on one of the towels he'd set out and relaxed, folding his arms behind his head and watching Rosalia. He was going to let the sun screen on him settle for a moment before he actually went out into the water. ...Maybe a nap a minute. Napping at the beach was always relaxing. Right? Yeah totally. The brunette stretched out a bit while watching the group... Oddly comfortable. Who knew sand could be comfy at all? Even if he WAS laying on a towel.

Noel took the matching blue board and saw Rosalia run towards the water and become one with it. She seemed to really enjoy being in the water. Meanwhile, Seifer took a more relaxed approach and was laying down. Darren was doing... what was he doing anyway? Not like it was important for her anyway. Noel sighed and decided on joining Seifer and lay down on her towel and stare at the sky. Everything was so peaceful, the sound of the ocean waves, cool breeze, everything felt.... good. "Zzzzzz...."

In reality, Noel was truly exhausted. All the pressure from the Reapers and everything going on with her life was really taxing on her. No girl should ever go through what she is going through. Her exhaustion and peaceful environment really made her so relaxed that the girl dozed off into a nap. If only... this lasted forever...

Darren took hold of the board. He saw that Noel and Seifer had no interest in going into the water. They wanted to relax. That made sense. Darren didn't feel the same way. He rushed into the water, dropping his board onto the water as he swam after Rosalia.

"Alright!" he called out as he swam up behind her. Waves crashed into him but he didn't care. This was how he relaxed. The more activity the better. He always thought too much otherwise, and he needed to take his mind off the Reapers and everything else.

Half the group relaxes, while the other half swims. Not too bad. Rosalia just got back a few days ago, so she had all the energy in the world. The others have been going through so much stress lately, it made her feel a bit depressed that she couldn't do anything about the past. No. Bad self. You are here to be happy, and look forward. Not backwards.

She waved to Darren as he swam up beside her, the female trying her hardest to actually sit on the boogie board. It succeeded for about ten seconds, until another small wave rocked her just enough to lose her balance. "Pfffffssttttt!" Seriously. Salt water does not taste good, though it did nothing to dampen her attitude. The pinkette huffed and settled for laying on the board properly, facing the shoreline with her back to oncoming waves. "Wanna see who can get the closest to shore on a wave?" Rosalia asked, tilting her head to the male. Well, it was the only game she could think of at the moment, even if there was no "prize" except for bragging rights.

Noticing his sister lay next to him and pass out... just about immediately. That's fine, he didn't blame her. Shutting his right eye however, he went back to watching the other two in the water, his left eye glowing softly in the shade, though almost unnoticeable. Everyone was having fun and relaxing. Good. A light smile grew on his face as he watched his fiance and one of his friends play in the water. This is what he wanted. This is what he wanted for everyone. And he'd fight anyone and anything to keep this. ...He shouldn't be thinking about this now of all times, but whatever. He cared about everyone.

Darren swam up next to her on the board. He didn't bother trying to sit on it. The waves were too wild. He looked back and saw that the others were not coming. It would be just him and Rosalia. That was just fine. They deserved some rest. Darren never was good with rest, though. Activity like this was much better.

"You're on!" he said to her about her challenge. He turned so he was facing the shore as well. He waited for the next wave. He had never done anything like this before, but how hard could it be? Its not like anything bad could happen. Nothing short of losing body parts or breaking bones. Nothing new, no problem.

Rosalia giggled at Darren when he accepted her challenge. Both waited for a proper wave, and though it's been a while since the pinkette has swam at the beach, she hadn't lost her touch with the waves. Maybe that's why they kept crashing on her... Shh, anyways. The female actually fell quiet as she watched the waves, and out of the blue started paddling just a tad. It was just enough to get her where a larger wave would break, and from there, she rode the wave up to shore. The wave carried her to the sand and when it finally retreated back to the ocean, Rosalia was left on the board actually on wet sand. She wasn't even in the water anymore. "Beat that~" she grinned triumphantly, ringing out her hair in the mean time.

Darren grinned as he saw her ride a wave. He looked back for one of his own. As he saw one beginning to approach, he swam towards it. He moved his knees onto the board and held onto it with his hands as he was being carried by the wave. Unfortunately, this wave was bigger than he had expected, raising with time from increased air currents. His eyes went wide as he was moving faster and farther than he had expected. Oh... Woah!" he called out as he fell off of the board, face first into sand. Luckily it was a softer patch. That could have been bad. Still, he was on the dry area, even if he hadn't intended for it. He lifted his head up as he coughed up some sand. "Not the best kind of sandwich."

Rosalia actually was surprised at the wave's size, more so because it meant she might lose! But in the end, Darren got a sandwich, which was kinda funny... "You okay?..." she asked, trotting over to her companion. The female picked up his boogie board, making it wasn't broken after only one wipeout. "By the way, wipeouts don't count, so I still win~" the female grinned, sticking her tongue out at Darren. Actually, thinking about sandwiches got the female focused on food. They really should have thought about snacks... Well, they had to leave the beach eventually, so they could just get food afterwards, along with the storage thing so they didn't end up lugging all the beach stuff to the base. Rosalia glanced over to where Seifer and Noel were laying down, the other female seeming to be asleep. The brunette was awake though, and the pinkette waved to her fiancé. "I win~"

Seifer waved back to the pinkette, smiling softly. He just... stared. Why? Because he could. That and she looked fantastic in a bikini. Anyway, enough resting for now. Standing up and stretching, he glanced down at his sister, before walking out from under the shade and into the bright sun. Really was a glorious day.

Darren finished spitting out sand. He looked at her with a pout at the fact that she won. He then smiled. He couldn't help but laugh. He was having fun with this. That was when he heard a growl. The origin, of course, was his stomach. Unfortunately this was something no one had thought of before.

It was odd because Darren normally didn't think of food much. He wasn't skinny but he always did his eating off screen. Then again it had been three months. It only made sense that he would need something now. He stretched as he stood up. He turned to Rosalia and said, "Only this time!" He said it in a playful tone. He really wasn't sour at all.

"Oh yeah? Wanna go again? I'll win just the same!" Rosalia answered in the same triumphant tone. She was going to win, no matter what! The female handed over the boogie board she was holding for her "rival" before trotting over to Seifer's side. Just a quick kiss for good luck~ And then she was out into the water again with her own board... until the one thing that could stop her, did.

She squealed, and ran back out of the water, clutching the board as if it were her only lifeline. "I stepped on a crab!!!!" At least we hope it was a crab... Can't really verify when (thankfully) it wasn't latched onto her foot or anything. Maybe it was just a rough seashell... The poor pinkette was nearly in tears though. For as much as she loved the ocean waves, and could spend hours just floating in the water if she was allowed, she really didn't like stepping on something below the water she couldn't see.

Seifer returned the kiss as he walked out, following behind the pinkette... when she squealed and ran back to shore, freaking out. Well... Time to make someone feel better? Especially since she looked ready to cry... The brunette gently pressed against the small female's back wrapping his arms around her protectively. At least to help her relax so she didn't cry. He hoped she wouldn't cry. Setting his head on top of her's, he could feel her hair sticking to his face a bit from the sun screen and the salt water, an the drops of salt water on her was actually chilling... Then again he hadn't gotten into the water yet himself. Oh well, maybe soon.

Darren took the board and was prepared to go back out to the ocean until he saw her run the other way. It was a crab? It made sense since they were fairly common but he was surprised that there would be one here now. He hoped that Rose was alright and that she hadn't accidentally gotten clamped. Nothing would have hurt worse than that.

He ran up to her, seeing that Seifer seemed to have things under control. He was glad they had each other. He didn't have anyone like that and he probably never would. Noel was a friend, almost like a sister, and she was the only person near his age that he would even be remotely interested in. Oh well, not like there was someone for everyone out there. He was too "different" for that now anyway.

Rosalia sniffled when she first felt arms around her, though she couldn't really hug him back when she was still clinging to the board. Not that he was hugging her from behind anyways, so she just shut her eyes and tried to relax. She hadn't seen Reapers in a while, but remembered the first time she saw one. It was like a giant bug thing, and there were three things the pinkette hated: bugs (including spiders), snakes (or any slithery reptile really), and, well, things that moved that she couldn't see. Aka, if it was dark, and something touched her hand or foot, she would flip.

At least she didn't cry right now, save for a few tears that did escape, though they were wiped away quickly. After about a minute or two, Rosalia relaxed enough in the brunette's arms, feeling a lot better now. But she wanted to go back into the water.. just as soon as she would, she would probably float, even if it was near the shoreline so she didn't have to touch the bottom. Floor is lava!! "I'm sorry... Thank you, hun," the female mused softly, smiling again. "D-did you wanna come into the water with us? We're having a game to see who can get the closest to shore, or well the farthest onto shore... without wiping out like Darren did~"

"I think I'll pass on that. Sounds kinda dangerous." said the man with the scar that was the size of his torso. "If you want though, I'll go out into the water with you." a gentle smile, a brush of salt water drenched hair. How suave was this man? No telling. He only did this for Rosalia so yeah. "When you guys are ready to take a break though just let me know, and I'll go grab some stuff from the shacks nearby so we can have a beach picnic or something." a suggestion for a break was a nice idea, but fun till you get hungry works just as well.

Darren smiled as he saw her go back into the water. He grabbed his board from the ground as he had dropped it when Rosalia screamed bloody murder. He decided he could go back in as well if only for a little while. as hungry as he was, he was still having fun.

He went to the water, looking at the two as he went deeper in this time. He dunked his head underneath the water with his eyes closed. It would hopefully help him to clear the sand out of his hair. He shook it off as he moved onto his back on the board. His eyes were still closed as he took a moment to enjoy the area around him.

Boogie boards weren't that dangerous... The female pouted some when Seifer wouldn't take part in their game, but hey, if he was going to at least come in with them, that would be enough for her. Adding snacks to the mix when they were done with the water was just an added bonus. "Mkay~" Rosalia took a deep breath before leaving the safety of the brunette's embrace and made her way back to the water. She wasn't going empty handed of course. In one hand, she still had her board, while in the other, she dragged said brunette. They could just relax for a bit after her game, seeing Darren already doing so in the water.

Rosalia made quick steps at the very shoreline though, and once it was deep enough to float on the board, she did, even if she was still within feet of dry sand. She didn't want to risk stepping on anything unknown again, and handed Seifer the cord that was attached to the boogie board. "Pull meeeeee?" She was like a child wanting to be pulled around in a wagon, if the boogie board can be considered a wagon. But she was happy again, so that's all that mattered, right?

He was dragged, but didn't complain. He offered to go out in the water with her. But now she was floating... Right next to the shore. And wanted to be pulled along. Cuuute. Taking the cord, he did as the pinkette asked, wading out further until it was about to his waste. Keep in mind he's still six feet tall. In any case, he hunkered down into the water until it was up to his chest, quickly putting the tip of his nose against his fiance's. It lasted for only a moment as he let himself float next to her. "...It's cold." yes it's cold, it's water.

After some time enjoying the sun, Darren lifted his head to see Seifer pushing Rosalia across the water. He was farther out than they were and it looked like the current was taking him further back than he had expected. His eyes went slightly wide at this realization as he wondered what was going on.

"Uh oh..." Darren said as he turned and started looking around. "Well... shoot..." He should have swam back right now. He really needed to do that. Why wasn't he doing that? Did he just want to know where this was going? At this rate he was heading for an island.

Rosalia shut her eyes as she was pulled along, sighing in bliss. When they eventually stopped and sort of just floated, the female smiled and kissed her fiancé lightly as their nose's touched. "Well, of course it's cold. It's the ocean~" she giggled in response. After that, the pinkette merely relaxed with the brunette, glad she had the board to lay on, and the water felt nice around her. But after a few moments, she realized... where the heck was Darren? Rosalia lifted her head, only to see the male in question pretty much drifting away. "Oiiiiii! You're gonna get eaten out there if you don't swim closer to shore!!!" she snickered, waving to their distant companion.

"Yeaaaaaaah, dude seriously come back inland." he didn't even look to call out to Darren. But... He was super comfortable right now, somehow. Actually so he didn't float to far away from Rosalia, he'd attached the cord to his wrist. In any case, the male called out again to his friend, who'd he'd drop kicked earlier. "Darren, buddy, seriously don't go out to far. I don't want to have to tell Yukino you got eaten by a shark cause of me." he really didn't want that. That'd be awkward.

Darren blinked as he looked around. He heard the voices of Rosalia and then Seifer call out to him. His ears perked up at what Seifer said. "There are sharks?!" he called out. What kind of a beach would have sharks?! Then again, he had gotten kind of far from the beach. At this rate sharks started to become a little more understandable.

He started to swim back letting out a sigh as he still felt relaxed even within the semi-life threatening situation he found himself in. It was still better than the stress of saving the world and feeling like the reason you have to work so hard is partly your fault. Malice almost broke Yukino. He couldn't forgive himself for that. But now wasn't the time to think of such things. It was a time for fun.

Actually, truth be told, Rosalia wasn't sure if there actually was sharks in the area... Well, anything was possible, and it got Darren to actually swim back towards them and the shore. "Are you getting tired yet? I would say we could see about getting snacks if you want, if we head back to shore now. I think Noely is still asleep, but we could save her something.." Being so relaxed, the female wondered when the last time she ate was again. They seriously had an issue of keeping up with meals regularly, but when the world was at stake, it was a bit more understandable... And as if on cue, her stomach growled, a wave of pink filling her cheeks. She scratched the back of her head, obviously embarrassed. "S-so what kind of beach snacks does everyone want?..."
