Beach

Satoshi's hand moved from Mizumi's shoulder to the back of her head, silently stroking it as she sobbed. Her pain was understandable. Whatever Sakuya experienced, she showed she was stronger than he could've expected by taking it like a champ, though it was just as painful. This...this was much more what he expected out of a seed regaining its memories. It did concern him how sudden this was, but the peacekeeper knew something else, something that had also lingered in his lengthy meditation in the outskirts.

"You can't be you? Because these memories might make you feel like something really different...but they're still yours. You're still you. These are part of who you are." He kissed her forehead lightly. "I know it's hard to feel like that's the case, especially since finding this out is so erratic and not what you were expecting...but, trust me, it's okay. You're still Mizumi to me."

Mizumi tried to quell her cries onto Satoshi, but she couldn't stop the pain in her head from flooding in and tracing throughout her body. Her throat burned, and her capillaries were basically ablaze. She just nodded onto the man, trying her best to understand the situation she was in.

The muteness of her past life. The way she... or he... played such beautiful instruments, and how he did nothing wrong ever. He shielded his eyes from the world that was collapsing until it was too late, and by the time he had saved it... there was nobody left on Earth to cherish the saved world with.

She tried her best to keep the tears from flowing but it was futile. Mizumi was going to be a mess for a good, long bit.

"I-I'm s-st-still me?"

She tried her best to speak, wiping her nose using her forearm.

"Of course you're still you." Satoshi smiled. "And you're the best you, I might add."

She gulped down her little fears, trying her best to end the flood of everything coming back to her. It took... minutes. A few of them at the very least. By the time she was done, all that could be heard was the distant sound of the ocean crashing at sea. It sounded like a normal day at the beach but everyone in the city knew that these days weren't allowed to be normal anymore.

Mizumi didn't speak. She just sniffled, trying to gather her thoughts as she laid into Satoshi's chest, lightly gripping at his shirt with the tips of her fingers.

Satoshi continued to pet her. This was likely going to sting her for a while before she finally calmed down, but she had to come to terms with it to a degree, just like Sakuya did...at least, that's what he assumed.

"If you're wondering what was going on...basically, you woke up a sealed memory of a 'different' life. You were this one being in another timeline that tried to save your world in a particular way, but things got messed up in the process of you trying to do so. That's alternate you resonating with this timeline's you. You're...still you, as far as I know." Actually, considering Hiro had been his dead brother, it was still kind of hard to understand exactly how these alternate timelines operated, especially if their memories awakened in their various counterparts.

The salted air, the soft wind and the sound of crashing waves. Why did he love the beach so? That was a question with an answer for another time. Standing at the edge of the ocean, he left his blind eye closed while staring out over the waves. It was... peaceful here. With the war going on, this place was untouched, it's beauty marred by nothing. Breathing out slowly, the brunette turned his gaze skyward, his thoughts going back to the war previously and the one they were currently fighting. Shutting his eye, he let his thoughts drift... Memories of battles fought, friends lost, and a love gone. He was miserable, but felt he couldn't let it show... Why?

Letting the wind blow around him, he continued to breath in the salt air, his senses clearing... his worries seeming to just drift away. Why should he be unhappy? Why should he let himself be dragged down by his misery? He'd lost his friends, his sight... he'd lost alot, but he was still here somehow. He could do something, and even if he failed at it, he always got back up and tried again. That was more than he could say about a lot of people. He'd lost more than most, and while he stumbled, his friends brought him back. Relaxing, he opened both of his eyes, peering into the endless blue... and letting go.

Neo had left HQ to go for a walk that made him walk all the way to the beach.. due to him thinking about so much. All of the deaths, the injuries, people coming back when we thought they were dead.. just so much has gone on over the past week and it has bothered Neo. I guess going to the beach was a good thing considering it held alot of good memories from the past.

"Hopefully this all ends soon.. so we can return to our normal lives.. if there be normal that is.."

Then in the distance Neo saw Seifer standing there staring at the water. Neo hadnt spoken to Seifer really since he came back when Neo was reversed.. but Neo walked up to him.

"Its been awhile. What are you doing here by yourself?"

The silence as he stared off into the sky was one that was rather calming, broken only by the sounds of waves. This continued for quite a while, until a voice spoke up, breaking the quiet loneliness. Turning his head while shutting his right eye to hide the cloudiness that showed blindness he noticed it was Neo who spoke. "To gather my thoughts really. The ocean's probably the best place to do that for me." he replied, turning back to stare out over the ocean. It was good to see Neo again, good to know he was alright.

"What brings you out this way?" he threw a question back, not turning back around.

"Probably the same reason your here.. to think in a peaceful place away from all the chaos"

The last time Neo and Seifer had a heart to heart talk, Neo had just become unreversed and Seifer left him in that hospital room to fight the war alone, then a short time after Neo left. Neo still felt a burden because of that. He let one of his best friends fight all by himself. One of the reasons Neo came back was to fight with everyone again to end the war but ever since he came back, Neo has realized that.. its not the reason he is fighting. He wants to protect those he cares for. Which led to Neo asking Seifer:

So how have you been? How is Rosalia and everyone else doing?" He asked

A quick gust of wind blew back Seifer's hair as Rosalia's name was mentioned. There was a long quiet, with the brunette refusing to answer. Instead, he changed the subject to another person. "How's Haruto after that confrontation with Blank? From what I remember, he was shaken up really badly. Though I was knocked out soon after trying to fight Blank." he shrugged, remembering what had caused him to become half blind. He was going to do what he could to actively avoid answering certain questions, especially about his personal life right now.

Neo noticed that Seifer was dodging the question. Neo thought to himself maybe something happened that he didnt want to talk about to Neo decided not to invade.

He is doing alright for the most part. He is resting in the HQ hospital"

Neo was still concerned about Seifer but didnt stress it. He didnt want to chase him off by invading so Neo went with the flow.

Mirai came to the beach. The view here never failed to amaze her. The sound of ocean waves crashing and the gentle breeze mixed with the sun shining, no wonder people want to relax and have fun. But she wasn't here to have fun. Given the current situation, relaxing seemed hard to do too. Taking a few deep breaths, she closes her eyes and clears her mind. The peacefulness here would help ease her body and attempt to relax. It would also be a perfect place to let go of all doubts. Being here makes one forget that there are monsters invading the world and attempt to erase it's existence.

As she continued relaxing her soul and body, unknown to her, Seifer and Neo were close by that she didn't even notice. Blocking out everything around her, there is no way for her to tell how long she has been near them.
