Reaper Invasion - The Final Battle - Page 3 Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - The Final Battle

Post by Rawkobo Sat Dec 03, 2016 9:02 pm

The hooded figure rose from his spot. The transcended Leviathan was already unleashing its full power, tearing life down before it. The only logical solution was a combination of fear and retreat, returning to the primal instincts of humans as the laws of the universe intended. They were all animals, and he too knew that same fear. This was not a time to try and fight.

And yet...his gait, moving from his spot, was unchanged. Simply heading in the same direction of retreat, casting a side glance at the fools who tried to defy fear incarnated...that was most all what he could do.

Well, there was one other thing. He paused a moment, then spoke with a much deeper voice than had ever existed on him before:

"Do you understand yet, beast? At no point did humanity ever not fear you. Even the ones that lead, the ones that call you 'shitstain,' that tell you to die and disappear, that cheer at your losing ground...they still feared you. And even now, they fear you the same as ever. Humanity simply thought they had options.

Even I, speaking to you now, cannot believe I have the patience and nerve to do so. My instincts tell me to get out, to escape, to vacate the premises. But...it is my impression that you do not believe we are afraid. That our hope brings us certainty and removes us from fear. No...that fear never leaves. It is simply repurposed into a weapon. That is, after all, what humanity does best.

With this in mind...let it be perfectly clear. You have no reason to believe that a single person does not fear you. Fear is permanent, a facet of this existence whether human or non-human. It is simultaneously what drives us and deters us, what gives us hope and what gives us despair. It is used for victory and defeat.

So to claim we do not fear you...is the biggest mistake you could ever make."

With that, the figure moved onward. Monster as it was, Eigorg at least deserved to know its efforts were never to be in vain.

Reaper Invasion - The Final Battle - Page 3 Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - The Final Battle

Post by Nova Major Sat Dec 03, 2016 9:12 pm

The battle was over... But at the same time, it wasn't. There was this strange feeling that something wasn't right. Sovereign was dying, slowly taking Harbinger with him. He was dangerously close to the still alive remains of the Reapers, given that he wanted to prevent the death of one of the pair as it was going to translate into the death of an innocent girl, despite that with the demise of said enemy the war was surely over. But... Something strange happened - Sovereign, as Cyber Hikari and a lot of other members from the Resistance noted, was smiling. "I... I didn't expect the Reapers to enjoy the marvels of losing" He commented, trying to light the mood a little. But it didn't stop the fighters to notice how odd the situation was.

Then... Sovereign explained. His plan was... Absolutely brilliant. No matter the outcome, the Deletors were going to win anyway. The best example of what they call a Xanatos Gambit. He wanted the Resistance to beat him, to kill him. All in order to unleash an ancient evil. Something called Leviathan. Something that destroyed an entire timeline before ("Suddenly, this stopped being confusing"). "I-It can't  be..." The young man couldn't believe it. After all the deaths, all sacrifices made by good people, all the broken promises, they still were way too far from the end of it. "Nah, he's just bluffing..." He still clung to that tiny hope of all being just a scare tactic. You could expect nearly everything coming from aliens, even more if they came from a card game ("... Or the card game came from them?"). But then, the body of said Reaper began to be engulfed by a giant mass of... Black nothingness. At the same time, the body of Harbinger, who was separated from the body of Tomozo, started some sort of transformation. A grotesque, graphic and in no way apt for children transformation. Carlos had to actually cover his mouth to prevent him from puking. "My... God...".

The body of Tomozo also suffered a change, becoming the living figure of a black-haired witch. At the same time, an unholy choral song was heard while the energy emitted by the giant form of the newly formed Reaper impacted in every fighter. The impressive display of power by said enemy, as he created a enormous crater in less than a second, was enough to send enough red flags to the mind of the young man. "I...I have to get the hell out of here!! This is way out of out league!!" The primal instinct of self-preservation kicked in. "I have to grab everybody I can an get the hell out of here!!". It was amazing that his desire to help others wasn't overwritten by the most basic of human instincts. But... His legs weren't responding. He was frozen in total fear. It was no surprise, given he was facing the closest thing to a God he could ever encounter. And still, there were people ready to face that deity of Hyperdeath. His old friend Seifer even stepped in to duel the monster. "W-Wait... Don't go, man!!" He tried to prevent him from doing it, but his voice couldn't find the way out of his mouth. "Seifer!! Don't go!!".

It went as well as expected. Despite his best efforts, the fiend was too much for him to handle. Taking an even bigger form, Leviathan deleted Seifer. Right in front of their eyes. Flashback to the deletions of Jessie, Chronos and Aoi rushed to the mind of the young fighter. Tears began flowing from his eyes as he just witnessed how a friend of his was erased from existence. In his shocked state, Carlos had enough strength to mutter a small 'No...'. Karin, their commander, issued the most logical course of action - Get the hell out of there. Gathering some force on his legs, the man proceeded to back down from the location while quickly gaining speed. On his way, he looked for Okuri, as he lost sight of him when he tried to approach the fallen Reapers. "O-Okuri!! Okuri!!!" He shouted. "Where are you!? We need to get all the civilians out of here!! Karin!! We have to do something about them!!".

Reaper Invasion - The Final Battle - Page 3 Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - The Final Battle

Post by Best Girl Sat Dec 03, 2016 9:45 pm

"Hope thrives, doesn't it?" Leviathan inquired, beginning a duel with Seifer, the boy who continued to stand, thinking he has nothing left. If he did not believe in hope, why did he stand? Why did he continue? The supergalactic horrorterror thought it plain as day: he believed and had faith. How delicious, she mentally mewled. The Evil Incarnate was eerily calm, not to scare anybody actually. No, it was obvious from her constantly licking at her lips and talking about eating Royal Paladin and the user. She was quiet and calm because if she didn't get a grip on herself, she'd be screaming over the burning hunger clawing and tearing away at her insides.

"W-we can't... run!!" A soldier shouted, doing the best he could to get over himself. "We came so far! We killed every Reaper! Commander Karin is right, we can't give up hope!!" He further rallied his allies, and a number of people began to go for the God of Hyperdeath, backing up Seifer as best they possibly could. Nemesis wanted to move as well, but she was frozen. Utterly and helplessly frozen, realizing the despair of her life. It all crumbled apart, the game was rigged and even success was punished. ... How... is that fair...? No... don't be ridiculous. She shook her head, still wide eyed, knowing nothing was fair to begin with. They scraped by with thousands of miracles, and now... Now... Her sworn enemy was the gluttonous omni-destroyer who destroyed the world slowly by merely standing in place. The android's body tensed, as if attempting to dart forward, yet was crippled by fear. Systems all reacting as if they put firewalls in place to stop suicidal action.

"No...! Never!!" Nemesis gritted her teeth, moving defiantly, just as Chronos kept warning her not to. "I'll never give up, not when the future is right in front of us!!" Yukino screamed, going against logic and system, dashing with Blaster Joker to join in the battle against the Waving Deletor. However, the beast didn't even seem to care about her rival as much anymore. ... "Rival", what a joke. The God of War was nothing but a fancier meal than others. The Deletors utilized by Greidhol had lost their hyperaggression. In fact, none of it was present. No, their entire focus was carnage via Banish Delete. Unlike all other Reapers before, Brandt counted down how many cards were erased until twelve. Once thirteen hit, a metaphorical fork was stuck into Seifer, for he was well done. Thing Saver and a surprise grade three unit that managed to Legion from nothing short than another miracle seemed like they gave her a run for her money, as did the barrages from mankind. However, space itself twisted as anything impacted her, harm literally being deleted as it came. Just as "Harbinger" was, Leviathan was invincible with armor... humanity did not have the slightest clue on how to answer. That revelation settled and horrified the masses who kept fighting. "Not yet!! Do not lose hope!" The Chosen Sword shouted morale as she rocketed with the amazing prowess of Tester Fox's improved jet boosters. She and Ace moved in to strike, only for Leviathan to lift up a foot, and slam it into her rebellious creation, bringing Nemesis down to the earth. Then, the sheer ferocity of the deity's might, as if akin to Gigaton and Sovereign's unruly physical power, sent Nemesis further into the ground, creating a new hole as she was dug into the planet's crust. Ace wildly howled and shouted, Ahmes attacking the Waving Deletor only to be backhanded by a shining, deep blue coated bare hand, which released a stream of violent nothingness that simply eradicated the Mad Hero of Dimmed Courage without even batting an eye. The Divine Power giggled and laughed with the various whispers, groans, howls, and sobbing that mixed with her eldritch tone as normal, and despair settled entirely in the Chosen Sword's heart - the "light" within her. Sharp teeth showing to curve into a hungry smirk, Leviathan turned to her "brother", who couldn't keep up, and arrived at "Death Thirteen".

She Strode.

No other words could come to mind from those watching it. Simply... she strode, and they were agape with greater awe. Mankind pushed Leviathan to her limits, enough for Sovereign to have to give her her memory for the sake of total erasure. A truly massive tower of a monster began molding itself into existence as Leviathan called upon her former persona, the power of the God bringing people to their knees as the Earth began to erode in the area of Card Capital with hastened pace. Huge shoulders adorned with sharp edges, sharped like flowers or arrays of crystals formed with a large collar being developed at the neck. Glowing, yellow pikes as nails or simply spikes on the behemoth were forged, present all over the created body with a thin, skeletal, metal "spine" that gleamed from the sunlight, connected by two open mouths on the body enclosed on what appeared to be orbs, or simply energy. The giant horror's appendages below seemed to take a conflicting pattern of a spider's legs and a centipede's legs, much further than others before the Original Deletor, but much larger and far more refined in design. A thick tail with a sharp end whipped in the air, and thrashed about aimlessly as it was invigorated with feeling and life. Massive claws with pointy, armor-like protrusions opened, and the face of a demonic entity - appearing more like that of a wailing ghost than a skull was exposed to the world. It and its two additional mouths let loose ghastly wails and roars, having the planets quiver in fear with its existence restored. A war cry that could only be emitted by the most savage of feral brutes.

"UUUUOOOOOORRRRAAAARRRR!!"

Reaper Invasion - The Final Battle - Page 3 UxasdYh

THAT is the Original Deletor?! Her true form?!

The space around Seifer distorted and contorted, twisting and writhing as final resting place had been decided by the superior to the Grim Reaper. The abomination never attacked. Instead, it had a win condition similarly to the doomsday weapon: Star-vader, Omega Glendios. Everything within the falling space surrounding Seifer began to die, rot, fall, or be erased. The Vanguards were deleted, yet another banish delete hit, and all of his units were locked. "Delete End", the Divine Power declared, proceeding to yank away the souls of all caught in her wake belonging to Seifer, including Seifer's own soul. Purple Void flooded into her, even opening her mouth to chug down a magnitude of existence as Seifer was killed before humanity's eyes, swallowed whole by Leviathan just as she threatened.

"Seif-" Yukino choked on her words, unable to really do much of anything in her little hole of shame. Her brother had been erased by the omnicidal deity of an unfair war. She tried to reach out and claim his fading light, only for her arms to be frozen in fear, held in place this time.

"Iiiiiiii..." Leviathan drooled, hearing the orders and pleas to retreat. "AM STILL STARVING! DON'T THINK MEAT WILL ESCAPE ME!!" The Waving Deletor let loose, Egorg vanishing but Graydoll beginning to release strings of energy from its fingertips, wrapping around many who had decided to flee too late. They screamed and sobbed as they were dragged to the behemoth, being deleted by the vines themselves, feeding a lust that could never be sated.

"LET'S GET THE HELL OUT OF HEREEEE!!" One of the civilians screamed, a good portion of them heeding the natural instinct to survive and running for their lives while whips still dragged many away to be gorged upon. Leviathan set her sights on fools who still wanted to fight, such as Xat, hissing and growling - steam pouring from her mouth as her moist lips glistened, spying delicacies - named heroes.

Xat looked at the new form and was tempted to fight it but Shirayuki and Semiei knew that she should not. "Don't fight it we need to get out of here."Shirayuki said as her legon spoke as well. "We agree lets try and get the others out as we run. We can not afford to die." They said as xat nodded and quickly turned putting away her swords to help others escape.

Reaper Invasion - The Final Battle - Page 3 Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - The Final Battle

Post by Doggy Sat Dec 03, 2016 10:18 pm

Great Nature and Spirit of the Earth had been ready to rejoice and embrace the future. Okuri was happy to see Carlos alright though the man was then worried about Tomozo even at this point. And yet something remained in the air. What should have been all of creation sighing in relief didn't come. And Sovereign soon revealed why. His link had not been to Harbinger herself but to her armor. And at that the indestructible armor was merely a container. It was necessary to restrict an evil so great even the lord of the Reapers had feared it.

The Spirit and Researcher could only look on in horror as Harbinger's form writhed in pain and agony. As Sovereign died her true form revealed itself. She was now Leviathan. A divine power. Okuri had long thought that if the gods existed they had surely stopped caring for humanity. But for this creature before him to be a god, there were not words to express the horror. Is this what humanity's hope and perseverance was to be rewarded with? Their battle had seemed so within their grasp for so long. And yet now to hear the odds were so astronomically stacked against them from the outset was confidence shattering.

Rightfully so some began to flee. Others wanted to fight. They couldn't accept that giving up now would be possible. But this creature deleted the matter around her with merely her presence. Fighting her would invite only an end to existence. And yet some still tried. The Espoirs rose to the fight. Yukino charged in with the twisted form of Blaster Blade. And then all at once the hero of the United Sanctuary was gone. Simply batted away by the monster's hand. There was nothing left of Blaster Blade. Seifer had stepped up to fight with the beast and Okuri looked on frozen in fear at what he felt he knew was coming.

The fight progressed and it was strange to see that though Seifer's vanguards were being deleted the god of hyperdeath's forces were not focused on attacking him and dealing sufficient damage. Banish delete was their only priority. After more than thirteen had been banished the already horrifying situation took a turn for the worse. Okuri's head was already pounding from Leviathan's mere presence. It was almost like trying to look at the Reapers before he'd obtained a reality bangle. But now the power of Stride was felt. And this too added a strain to the spirit's body. The form of Leviathan twisted into her original shape, the one that had consumed the first timeline. The original deletor. All at once Seifer vanished away with his units. His existence consumed by the divine power.

Okuri could hardly think of what to do, say or feel. This power was practically incomprehensible. He heard his friend Carlos screaming his name. There were still civilians here. He was right they all needed to escape. And yet the Waving Deletor stood insatiable. She would not merely stop. Great Nature gathered to Okuri hoping to stir their vanguard to action. The Spirit's mind focused as his name was called by several more of his friends. There was but a single thought. His allies shared it from the looks on their faces. There weren't any words needed. The group simply nodded to each other.

Okuri and his units took off running. He passed by Carlos one more time as he did so but he wasn't running away from the monster. Instead he was running toward it. "Carlos! Save as many of them as you can! All of you need to run away as fast as possible!" he called out as he sped by. The wounds in his back were troubling him but nothing else mattered. Years of memories floated through his mind. Everything had been leading him to this moment hadn't it? The Spirit of the Earth and his units came to a halt, serving as a blockade of the Reapers path.

"Leviathan!" he screamed out. There were tears in his eyes, a hint of terror to his voice but it was still one of defiance. There was nothing else he could say. That word carried it all. Centuries of life and this is where it would end. With all the power he possessed he would stop Leviathan's advance so his friends and the rest of humanity could escape. Great Nature stood ready knowing their university would be seeing it's last day today. But at least they thought their Thunder Dragon Honorary Student would be able to carry on their legacy.

Yes, if the others could live this would all be worth it.

Reaper Invasion - The Final Battle - Page 3 Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - The Final Battle

Post by NovaRaizer Sat Dec 03, 2016 10:22 pm

Raiden gave a light sigh as he saw everyone begin to leave. "I had a feeling it wouldn't be that easy," he muttered as he walked to his motorcycle. He moved his hand to his Reality Bangle and said, "Voice Recognition... Auto Pilot mode. Track Nemesis and Karin." The vehicle revved and began to ride away with Darren on it. Raiden, however, stayed behind. "I said I would do this at the start," he muttered, remember that he told Yukino Espior that he would willingly sacrifice himself as the one who had no attachment to anyone here. Everyone needed time to escape, a distraction. This was it. He walked up to Leviathan slowly as he said, "There is only one person that needs to fight right now. That person is me... Leave with the rest while I do what needs to be done."

Reaper Invasion - The Final Battle - Page 3 Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - The Final Battle

Post by Lightning King Sun Dec 04, 2016 12:36 am

The Kaiser had smirked as he watched the Twin Towers crumble. Victory was assured, and the feeling of watching the towers fall together was oh so very sweet. This feeling was banished soon after by Sovereign's laughter. That laughter... The story. It angered the Kaiser, just a bit. They were supposed to have won, this was supposed to have been the final battle... But now that Cero thought about it, it had felt too easy. There had been no last ditch effort, no secret trump cards, nothing like that until this point. Cero punched himself in the cheek for not realizing it sooner, not that he could've possibly realized it even if he had been a genuinely intelligent being.

When he saw Harbinger transform, the Kaiser was absolutely stunned. He was... Afraid. Genuinely afraid, and then the and pressure appeared. The Kaiser felt his head explode in pain and fell to the ground from the sky, cracking the road he fell into. Cero was, for the first time in his life, afraid for more than a brief moment. He managed to push himself up from the ground, gritting his teeth through the pain and trembling... Even though he felt it, he couldn't show it. The Kaiser had to be a symbol of humanity's strength, of how powerful mortals could become. And yet, just looking at this foe... Their aura, their power, the... calmness that they had. Cero admitted to himself... He had no chance. This was a battle not even he had the slightest chance of winning. No... He had one chance, potentially, just maybe, but he'd lose himself in the process and the odds of success were incredibly low.

A moral battle waged in the mind of the Kaiser as he placed a hand on his heart. He could keep his pride intact and fight an unwinnable battle against the divine power before him as he was, and be deleted. Cero would love to, it'd be the easiest on himself, dying and no longer having to feel this awful emotion known as "fear" and have his pride somewhat intact. However, seeing the Kaiser fall would likely only solidify the fear in humanity. He was, after all, one of the most powerful beings to ever be born on Earth, with few even being able to compare to him. Or he could... use that power, and give himself a chance. But that also could just make the being more powerful than before if it failed, so that option was unfavorable to the greater good as well. As much as he didn't want to, running was the best option overall.

When the Kaiser looked up, he watched multiple people be instantly erased by the power of "Delete End." His heart beat even faster, his breathing became staggered and inconsistent as cold sweat ran down his brow. Fear, rage, and disgust filled Cero as he fought with himself over what to do, the things he witnessed only further showing him that retreating was the only viable option. He had to survive here, he couldn't let himself die yet. The Kaiser straightened himself as much as he could as he watched Yukino be batted away with incredible force yet no effort, as if she were nothing more than a fly.

Gritting his teeth even harder, the Kaiser turned away when he saw a young girl who couldn't be more than 8 with a reality bangle, summoning out a Blaukluger. Was she... Going to fight!? Cero turned back just in time to see the tendrils of void going out towards various people and one of them was heading... Straight towards the girl. Cero scoffed at himsf and used what energy he could muster to shoot himself towards the girl, faster than the tendril, grabbing her and continuing to run.

"Fighting that thing here is suicide! You heard what was said! We have to escape!" Cero shouted, running and shielding the child with his own body. He was frustrated at himself for retreating, and somewhat for saving the child. He briefly stopped and turned to look back at the crater Yukino was in before shaking his head and running from the Reaper again, heading towards the training area as the child cried in his arms, not responding to his words.

Beatrice had a harder time retreating as she was still feeling injured from her confrontation with the Twin Towers, needing to be helped by a Battle Sister. Her heart was racing as she watched people, resistance and citizens of Japan, run as far as they could from the God of Hyperdeath. It amazed her how this had turned out. Hope had gathered everyone to finally end the Twin Towers, and now Despair is causing everyone to scatter away. "...Fate truly is a cruel jester." The maid also wondered what Karin would do once everyone that could manage to find a place to hide away from Leviathan's destructive path. What was left to them in order to win this? There would be many questions needed to be answered once they were safe. For now, she focused on just following either Karin or any Resistance member she could follow.

Hyperdeath... just hearing the name put chills down Neo's spine.. and then seeing it delete end everything in sight. Neo knew he couldn't stay in the area. He had to get out of here. Facing that thing would mean death. But then he saw Seifer go up to it to face it in battle..

"Wait No.. he cant be serious.. He cant beat that thing and he cant face it. Seifer!!!! No!!!!!" Neo screamed out

....... But it was too late.....

Neo watched helplessly as Seifer was deleted in front of his very eyes and his Vanguard went with him. Just like that.. he lost another friend.. a close friend at that.. and Neo couldn't help him at all..

SEIFER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

As tears started down Neo's face. He had to get out of there. Just then in the distance, he noticed Noel on the ground passed out and not moving. He ran over to her and carried her on his back as he called Blitzkrieg to get them to safety. Neo with Noel on his back, flew off on Blitzkrieg and started flying toward HQ. It was the first place in Neo's mind he could think of to go too and he wasn't even close to thinking correctly at the moment. As Blitzkrieg got farther and farther away from the scene, Neo turned around and looked back:

"From this point on.. the next time we encounter that thing.. I will fight it. Im not going to let anymore of my friends die.. If I have to fight that thing to prevent anymore deaths then I will. Dont worry Seifer.. your death will not be in vain. I promise with all the power I have that I will help put an end to this battle no matter how bleak it seems!"

"And we will also be by your side Neo. We will continue to fight alongside you until this is over" Blitzkrieg said

Reaper Invasion - The Final Battle - Page 3 Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - The Final Battle

Post by Nova Major Sun Dec 04, 2016 4:07 pm

Trying to maintain some little semblance of composure, Carlos took the initiative and used his Reality Bangle to summon as much Units as he could to help with the evacuation efforts. But in the end, he could only summon two Thunder Dragons of moderate size and a dragon rider Human. They were the Narukami fighters known as Photom Bomber Wyvern, Spark Kid Dragoon and Recklessness Dragon. Hammer Knuckle Dragon reunited with his master after barely completing his first mission of protecting the civilians. Given that Karin nor Okuri showed signs of for a moment, the young man commanded the summoned Units to go and get every man, woman and child not part of the Resistance as far as they could. They all nodded and took flight. Recklessness Dragon, his avatar, appeared to follow his orders but he was as reluctant as the other Thunder Dragons.

Carlos then started to run away from the warzone, as he noticed Okuri and his Great Nature companions approaching him. "O-Okuri!! Good to see-!!" He tried to get his friend to help with the evacuation, but it was clear he had other plans as he kept running in the opposite direction. "Carlos! Save as many of them as you can! All of you need to run away as fast as possible!" The spirit said after passing by him. It was obvious that his most recent injuries were beginning to take its toll on him. "Wait, what are you doing!? That's the wrong direction!!". He realized that his friend was planning on preventing Leviathan from advancing, even though it was completely useless. "Okuri!!" He shouted as he turned back and rushed to his friend's side.

The young man witnessed a scene that he wasn't prepared to see - Leviathan released some form of energy tentacles to grab and engulf every poor bystander to scared or to slow to escape. But his focus was on his friend, who formed a barricade with the rest of the Great Nature teachers and students to confront the deity of Hyperdeath. Because of his shift of focus, he couldn’t see an energy tentacle coming closer and grabbing him. “Ngh!” He exclaimed in pain, unable to form a coherent phrase. Before being dragged against of his will, the young man was saved by his trusted avatar Recklessness Dragon. Cutting the tentacle and catching him in midair in a bridal fashion, Carlos couldn’t help but hug his savior. “Reckless, we need to help Okuri!” He said to the blush dragon. “I can’t leave him alone with that thing! I don't care how scared I am, I need to help him! Leave me on the ground and go help the others!”. The dragon just stared at his master, hoping to get his message through. There was no way he was going to let him go near that monster.

“What are you doing, Reckless? Obey me! Do as I say!” He shouted at his Avatar, as he noticed he wasn’t descending to help the canine. The blush dragon carried the young man out of the sight of the creature and into somewhere, anywhere safe. Carlos struggled to get out of the grip of the Thunder Dragon, but it was useless as it was stronger than him. “Let me go, you big dumb lizard!! I can't leave him!!” He punched, kicked and screamed. “Okuri!! Okuri!! No!!”. The young man watched helplessly as his friend confronted Leviathan, knowing that it was only one possible outcome - Delete End. “OKURI!!!” He punched Recklessness Dragon, as both flew away along with other soldiers.

It was Great Nature's last stand against the deletor threat. Before them stood the God of Hyperdeath. Her tendrils lashed about attempting to drag in every being they could. Though this being deleted the people she killed she seemed to think of this as eating them. Everything she did further evidence that perhaps it was true. She was literally eating away at existence itself. Okuri and his units were all frankly terrified at the sight of the beast. And yet they still had intercepted it and interrupted her meal.

The Waving Deletor mocked them claiming Great Nature was supposed to be the smart ones. But the Spirit made their resolve clear. "We're going to let the real warriors live. The one's who can defeat you!" he called out through the whimpering he had been unconsciously doing since calling the beast's name. As Telscope Rabbit appeared it was clear his units felt the same fear. They were determined to save as many of the others as they could. But to face this monster. To know this would be their last battle and that from here on out they would cease to exist. It was hard for them. Leviathan seemed to practically vomit void to summon her forerunner. Duckbill and Telescope Rabbit were on edge constantly. Part of Duckbill's tape got deleted merely by approaching Leviathan to attack one of her followers. Any movement, any action felt like it could be the last they ever made.

But Okuri couldn't let anyone else be devoured. He heard Carlos calling to him from a distance, looking behind him he saw Recklessness seemed to be retreating with his friend, perhaps against Carlos' will. "I'm glad you'll live another day my friend." he thought to himself for a moment. Lamp Camel was deleted as his opponent had called on her armor to fight for her. The shell of what everyone had thought was Harbinger came to life at the divine power's command and used the old power of deletion against Okuri and his units. Chatnoir rose to the occasion to begin a counterattack as did Sleepy Tapir. But there seemed to be no way to prevail against their opponent. The Waving Deletor took to fighting them herself and the very presences inching closer to them caused Okuri and his units to groan in pain. Everywhere the beast moved more matter disappeared around her. Chatnoir was soon deleted and all at once three cards were banish deleted.

This was what she wanted. She wanted to banish delete everything she could. And then her horrifying original form would end everything all at once. There was no time to waste. Every turn just drew nearer to that end. With Chatnoir still deleted it was time for the Foxes to make a stand. "There is little chance we survive this my friends." the Spirit began to his units. They shook and nodded in agreement. But despite this fact none ran. "So stand up with me for the last time my friend! Magic Scientist, Tester Fox!" Okuri called out. Tester appeared still ready to go. The success against the Twin Towers had been undermined by this turn of events but he was confident he still had the formula for success. Researcher appeared at his side and the Legion was formed. A full force of units attacked ready to end the fight here.

As the Foxes led the assault Leviathan put up a guard that two triggers could break. The spirit had done it before against the twin towers. It was possible now and Tester was sure of it. The first check brought a draw trigger and the Legion received the power. Then a critical! The foxes received all of the effects. They had broken through! Could they have possibly won! The attack hit but on command Goot appeared, healing his master. Leviathan made this sound natural. The deletors would respond at her command. Goot would appear as many times as needed. The only chance at defeating her seemed to slip away.

And immediately after the Foxes were deleted. It pained Okuri to think of how many times his friends had endured this during the war. They had often returned as during the fights the power was only temporary. But against this Reaper what assurance did the spirit even have of that? He was able to defend himself with Cable Sheep's help. He was ready to attack again. The number of banish deleted cards only grew and grew. He had the chance to win here! He would just discard-

But then it didn't work. The light of Chronojet's power came then began to fade. Leviathan mocked him. A divine power may have blessed them but it meant nothing to her. She grabbed the light away and devoured it. There would be no restoring the Foxes. And he had no other grade threes to ride. Calling another Tapir he did what he could with the deleted vanguard. Critical triggers came but Leviathan decisively guarded both tapirs. As his turn ended Okuri was relieved he would at least have the Foxes back. And they did appear for a moment. But then another dark power appeared from Leviathan. Ender's power. The deletor had defended the Waving Deletor and now when the Foxes returned deleted them all over again. Okuri could feel his heart break. His friend were gone. But what's worse, a G Unit now appeared. Eigorg the Original deletor. And thirteen banish deleted cards had been assembled.

Okuri and his remaining rearguards looked on, eyes wide with horror, as the devourer of a timeline declared: Delete End. The essence of the Foxes was taken in hand by Leviathan and crushed. All of Okuri's rearguards were locked. Great Nature in its entirety began fading away from existence. The monster's claws dug into the Spirit himself. There was barely any time to react to the pain. Okuri's physical form seemed to evaporate away. The physical elements that wrapped around the Spirit at the time his reincarnations took place fell away. There was nothing but a pile of dust. In the Deletor's hands was a glowing figure. It resembled Okuri but was ethereal and almost transparent. It was glowing a light blue, almost white. It had few features but was very definitely canine.

This was Okuri's soul. The essence of his existence. The thing that regularly reformed the physical elements around it to prolong an eternal life of sorts. This soul had seen centuries of existence though only ten years in this current physical life. Then all at once Leviathan clamped her teeth down around this soul. With an audible crunch all that had been Okuri vanished from existence. Like Seifer, Aoi, Bashiro and Jessie before him there was now nothing to indicate he had ever been.

Or was there? Amidst the despair of the Delete End a single unit escaped the horror. Sleepy Tapir, a gift from Chronojet with the Power of resist. He seemed to have something grasped tightly in his hand and he ran with all the speed he could away from the Original Deletor. A single tendril grasped at him briefly but the power of resist was enough to escape but not unscathed. He had seen Recklessness fly off with Carlos. He could feel it as he ran. The contact with the Reaper was eating away at even his own existence. But still he had to run. He had to find Carlos. His vanguard had asked it of him in his final moment. He couldn't let that wish go unfulfilled. With tears in his eyes he fled the battlefield, mourning the loss of his friends. He wished he was asleep. That somehow, this could all merely be just a dream. But knowing it wasn't all he could do was run.

Raiden stepped forward to battle the Deletor that originated all of the others. He knew he had no ability to win, he wasn't even a fighter. He was a detective, one who collected information and gave it to those who could better use it. Even in this, that was one thing he could still do. He pressed a button on his Reality Bangle. From the very start his Bangle was one meant for gathering data. Whether it be by samples or energy statistics or even recording an entire battle of data. He could use this to gather information on the enemy, the unknown enemy could become more known. That was the idea.

To force out her power, Raiden fought with all he had. He went out of his way to get as many battles each turn as he could muster. Meanwhile, the divine being worked to limit those attacks at every turn, prioritizing Rear Guard destruction to hitting her actual opponent. It was clear that damage meant nothing, so Raiden stopped guarding. Even when facing the form of Graydoll and its power, he did not guard.

Raiden was made battered and bloodied by each attack. He could barely move, barely stand. The units even began to move on their own to ease Raiden's burden of movement. Even his Legion seemed to mean nothing. He brought her damage count high but he could tell he wasn't actually harming the Leviathan. Fighting was almost pointless.

His deletion brought him to the point of attacking with a Perfect Guard unit which was easily guarded. Everything he did, nothing got through her power. That was wen she transcended. The ultimate form of her power revealed itself and he was struck with "Death Thirteen". His units were all deleted and locked. Void filled everything, and the power of that Void even surrounded him. Raiden knew he only had moments. This was the end, his end. However, there was still one thing he could do.

He pressed the button on his Bangle again. It not only ended the Recording but sent the data to Karin. He knew that she or Nemesis could use this to find a way to defeat this creature before it was too late. This was the last thing he could do. He closed his eyes and let the Void around him swallow him whole without any regrets. He knew humanity would prevail in the end. He only hoped he had done enough to assist.

Reaper Invasion - The Final Battle - Page 3 Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - The Final Battle

"Glory, oh triumph!

The conclusion hastens and floods!

Victory, oh victory--

Victory to the Evil Incarnate!"

Humanity had been, for a lack of a better word: cheated. The ravenous monster radiated with violent nothingness, moving forward and tearing away at all life and existence with her advancing presence. Nemesis, who finally thawed out from her despair, began crawling backwards, shaking and crying in fright. Her eyes grew wider and wider as the ultimate enemy approached, not even looking at her, but knowing when they aligned, she would be wiped from existence yet again. Or even worse from her fear amplifying the situation in mind, she'd be eaten and vanish in the confines of the alien horror's stomach. With a scream, Yukino turned, clawing her way up the hole, falling and being dragged down by natural gravity a couple times, then finally remembering Tester Fox's boosters. She blasted her thrusters just enough to at least get out of the crater. The Chosen Sword ran with her metaphorical tail between her legs, her courage and resolution having been rightfully destroyed by the grotesque sights of the hungering eraser. Yet, the hero in her couldn't let it all go and move on. She still turned to look at those sacrificing themselves, including Okuri and Raiden. The woman wanted to call out, opening her mouth to release... choked air. Nothing she said would matter, that was one reason she couldn't speak. The other was out of crippling fear, thinking that if Leviathan heard her and found her running, she'd die. Years upon years of suffering broke down into being as scared as a five year old child hiding under their blankets, hoping an imaginary fiend doesn't get them. The android watched people die - watched them be devoured by the greedy Divine Power. Ultimately, she could not move again. She kept being frozen in place, knowing that as the one who fought against Link Joker so, so hard and put in so much to ending this nightmare... she was nothing more than a fine course of meat. "Why...?" Nemesis sobbed, watching the omnipotent destroyer slaughter Gold Paladin and Great Nature.

"Just because you have another Divine Power's gift, does not mean it works on I, who is superior to him!" Leviathan shouted on record, including the confirmation of Chronojet Dragon being a Divine Power as well for Raiden's Reality Bangle to transmit. Her forerunner: Uniform Deletor, Gnshal was a small black ball of nothingness Seifer had seen firsthand... poured out of her mouth. "How can you expect to outrun me... when I am already here?!" The Waving Deletor recited the starter's flavor text, finding great pleasure in Great Nature – the supposedly smart ones – rushing to die early. Whatever, the whale of a monster was fine with eating fresh meat from Cray's mammals and a mammalian designed Spirit of the Earth. Even more was she excited to swallow more Paladins down her cavernous gullet, more aimed at Gold Paladin than Raiden himself. Her strategy was clear to them among others: damage meant nothing to her. She could freely bat away at rearguards while she herself attacked, for if she hit, she'd retire anyway. Whittle away at their everything and then leave them to despair with “Death Thirteen”, the invincible win condition that embodied every plan and action Harbinger and Sovereign took in this final war. This tactic invoked despair itself, with hope that one could possibly win and survive from her deck trading away aggression for this instantaneous erasure, only to shred their deck to pieces, and eat them alive. A crying child giggled, an adult woman sobbed and laughed hysterically, an elderly man chuckled, a large gentleman laughed loud and heartily... All of these tones were from Divine Power Leviathan herself. The God of Hyperdeath summoning her true form – her original self: Eigorg to gorge upon both Okuri and Raiden without a single care for their duty, responsibility, will, or action. All she did was eat their beings and units, sustaining herself and pigging out on mankind with an insatiable appetite. Her mouth opened, fangs bared only to hiss a steamy breath of satisfaction. Lips curled into a gaping grin, swirling crimson eyes glaring at those who hadn't yet escaped, and even noticing one of Great Nature's units escaping. “Oi, meat!” She called out to her meal, attacking him with a tendril, only for Sleepy Tapir to flee anyway, but the contact with the world-eroding monster was enough to begin feeding her, so she took it. He'd be gone eventually. “Now... Shitstain...” Leviathan cooed, calling to her nemesis longingly and menacingly, licking her lips to savor the taste of her dread.

“Not on your life!” A burly, stern voice roared, and a shadow appeared in the bright sky. Leviathan and Yukino looked upward, only to witness the godly horrorterror get punched in the face by the strongest man in the world. No, not the strongest man, for right now and for at least around twenty years, he was no ordinary man. … He was a father. Father Espoir's fist collided with the Planetary Reaper, actually causing Leviathan to gurgle and hiss from the assault that truly hurt. How? There was no logic to how. It was simply the will of a papa wolf being enough to cause damage via impact with a planet. His hand didn't even fade away. Leviathan was sent careening through the air and then through the ground, erasing parts of the Earth's crust as she was flung back so harshly.

“Father! … And... Mother?!” Yukino called out to the Espoir parents, noting the Chief Nurse appear in her business outfit next to her husband. The two had stern, rigid expressions, emitting fury behind imagination with their glares and postures. The man had his arms folded, and the woman had a hand on hip. Papa Wolf and Mama Bear were livid and not taking this any longer. “No, don't! You can't-”

“Get out of here.” Mother Espoir spoke.

“W-What?”

“Get going, she said.” Father Espoir added.

“But you two!”

We've already lost so much...” Mother Espoir began. “You and Hana were both scarred by war, and those wounds will never heal. Even worse, we've nearly lost you countless amounts of times, including when your doomed timeline fell. And we still don't have Hana back, on top of actually losing you and your body. Now the world is going to Hell...? There wasn't much more we could have done than you kids already accomplished. We only be extra hands, nothing important or different. So we worked behind the scenes, supplying resources, helping the critically injured, and the like. … Did it mean anything? Yes, I think so.

Because you still came back, and Hana is in you.

She never stopped loving you, and you had grown up so, so much.

So please, be our last little light.”

The parents did not turn to look upon their daughter, resolutely and firmly standing to face the omnipotent eraser, who lifted herself our of the ground, snarling with sharp teeth clenched tightly. A wicked aura of malice formed and fueled her levitation as more of the planet was destroyed by her being. Yet, even still, the unbreakable will of the couple did not allow them to move. Yukino... could say nothing. She only quietly cried more, seeing the Vanguard of the Knight of Knights, Ezer and Crimson Lore, Metatron appear behind them. Gulping down her sorrow, the “little light” could only mutter: “I'm sorry. I love you both... Thank you...” Nemesis' eyes shut, then she turned her back as well, beginning to run from the ruins of Card Capital.

“More food stands in a line? Very well, I'll kill you both all the same!!”

“... Nothing in vain?” Father Espoir asked his wife.

“No regrets, for anyone who willingly stood like we have. … I believe we've been outdone.”

“Heh. What a ridiculous realization. We've been outdone for a good while.”

Auras and outlines of light surrounded the Espoir couple as Leviathan faced off with two “titans”.

The battle was hopeless.

This isn't fair.
