Reaper Invasion - The Infinite Legion

Darren listened to the story told to him. It wasn't fair... not at first. She wasn't old enough to know right from wrong but she was still treated like a monster. If anyone was a monster... it was people like him. Yet people thought of him as a hero. It was no wonder she was like this... still...

Slowly but surely, the power within Darren began to rise. His power was that of imagination, tainted by the Seed. Right now he could imagine himself fighting with all of his power against these opponents. Whether they were right, just, hero or villian, it didn't matter one bit. All that mattered was that they, the three demons and Trinity the armored Reverse fighter, were in the way of the true threat. No, if they were allowed to remain, they would all be threats in their own right.

His might exploded with the force of his emotions. "Whatever you think, you're not stopping me from getting through..." he said to all of them. "If this is a game to you, welcome to the next stage!" He turned to Trinity. That was his first target. After the last battle, he wanted another chance to fight her, to test his strength. He knew she wasn't the strongest, but it wasn't a matter of being cocky. He had to fight her, or he would have no chance against the others. "Iron Girl, let's go!"

With the final piece of the story told, the last history of the Drones accounted for and etched into the Resistance's minds, The Cross raised her blades in preparation for battle. She took a quick glance around the cavern- The entrance had been sealed... But a certain someone was absent, someone she knew would never miss out on such a final battle. Chances were high the cave entrance would be broken back open soon enough, letting the rest of the Resistance inside. Even with this minor setback, everything was still going according to plan; Legion had rejoined, but wouldn't remain invincible for long. Chris, the almost-reaper, barred their path forward, and there would be no talking down this Drone. Trinity, the last remaining drone, also stood between them and the Twin Towers... The drone who led the spirits of the Reverse. Including one of The Cross' past incarnations.

Something about that nipped at the Overlord's sense of pride in her title. She pointed her blade at Trinity again, taking a step toward her this time. "You're going to be my first opponent, girl."

Trinity stood ready with her blade, however this time there was no armor as usual. Her eyes were now divided between one showing Trinity's golden emptiness and the other showing Flonne's bluish rage as she stared deeply at Karin, her voice becoming a mix of both though the emotion used in her words helped determine who was speaking. "And your last traitor. I think Lord Sovereign would enjoy seeing your dead carcass once our dance is done! I'll even write a song about how your happiness burned away at the hands of your precious Overlord!"

Darren didn't like the idea of being ignored, but he was willing to wait his turn. Nemesis could handle Legion. That was what happened before, wasn't it? Others could take the Clown. Chris probably wouldn't attack until attacked. This was a game to her so there were obviously rules of some kind.

"Don't hold back, Overlord..." he said as he knew Overlord was the one who wanted this battle more than anyone else. He felt a Darren did, insulted at the idea of a Reverse unit being used for evil, his Reverse unit. It was the same thing Darren felt in terms of Daiyusha. Still, Trinity was different. Her former self and reincarnation seemed to be merging. It was... different. Was this because she couldn't accept her new life, or was it because she renounced both to follow the Reaper Gods? This wasn't something to think about... he had to fight them all anyway so baggage wouldn't make anything easier.

The fight with the traitorous former puppet of Sovereign had started slow, even when she stood forth, armor finally emerging though it didn't cover the half of her face revealing Flonne's eye. Despite the damage they did to each other, it felt more like a stalemate for her, spent mostly with banter between Karin and Flonne. But once she allowed Karin's critical to cause a chink in her armor, she was ready to unleash her full power. With a burst of Reverse energy she unleashed her army. "Now watch as I unleash the full potential of the Reverses. Prepare to feel the wrath of these 'fakes' as they destroy your happiness!" She called forth first Ashlei, Vowing Saber, Maelstrom, Luquier and Ramiel. All of them attacking Karin and her Overlords with only Ashlei and Luquier getting a hit in. But afterward, Karin retaliated by wiping out all but Maelstrom and Ramiel though she safely protected herself. The final blow came when Halcyon manage to achieve a double trigger and break through Karin's final guard attempt, cutting through with Maelstrom's power energizing her. She had won against the Resistance' commander, though not without her armor being damaged with cracks and a few pieces broken. Nevertheless, she smirked at Karin. "And so falls the almighty Overlord back to Hell." She then set her sight on her next target, Darren.

Trinity... Halcyon. Another unit given physical form, a manifestation of the lingering spirits of the Reverse units of the past, including the Overlord's own. Their clash left The Cross more on edge than she would have preferred, even if she managed to take down the recreation of Rebirth. Her power was weakened, whether from its recent overexertion or some other factor, but The Cross wouldn't let that stop her. "And so falls the almighty Overlord back to hell" Trinity had said... only for the Overlord to stand back up again, her fiery aura bursting back to life. She wasn't going to "fall to hell" a second time. She wasn't going to die. She still had a duty to fulfill, an army to lead, and a Reaper to kill.

Darren was already fighting with Trinity now, keeping her occupied. That was good. The Cross took a step back, standing in ready. Nemesis would split Legion in short order, and that would be where the Overlord struck next. She would take this brief moment to recuperate and gather her strength.

In a battle Darren never believed he would have again, Trinity stood in his path to Harbinger. However, he was different this time. She wasn’t JUST Trinity. He made note of it and even said it.

”I want to know something… You’re not fighting just as the weapon Halcyon or as Trinity the Reincarnated Seed… Your original self is there as well. What is her name?”

Trinity didn’t want to say. She thought it didn’t matter since Darren would die anyway. Even as a last request, it seemed like little more than a waste of time. To her, mankind didn’t deserve such a thing. To her, no one could understand her pain. But that wasn’t the truth at all.

”As Malice, I saw a lot of different worlds, probably even yours… Most of them had nothing left in them but destruction and despair… So I do understand… I understand because I have multiple Seeds in me, even now.”

She said that the World Idol Flonne attempted to bring happiness to her world and her world died. She stated that she tried to bring happiness to this world as well and she was killed. Humans who could do that don’t deserve to be happy… that’s what she said. Darren couldn’t disagree. Malice saw what humans did to multiple worlds. He hated them for it. He wanted nothing more than to crush him under his tyrannical boots. However, Darren also knew something else.

”Flonne truly desired to bring smiles to everyone, and right now… a fight against a powerful opponent like this… it’s making me grin ear to ear!”

The battle was a harsh one. Trinity attacked fiercely with her Radon and Magnet Hollows at Grade 2. Darren was saved from extra damage by a draw trigger, but still felt it. He brought forth his Daikaiser, looking at his foe with a grin as he said, ”Right now, I’m not fighting for the Resistance, or to save the world. You’re a strong rival I wanna surpass!”

He struck with his Vanguard, seeing a critical trigger that would have ended the fight. Her Perfect Defense ensured that she lived. The effects went to his rear guard, Daidragon. Magnet Hollow was struck to stop a potential intercept and Daidragon came in to attack. It was blocked. She really was powerful.

She then called forth Ashlei Reverse. Darren took the moment to see the field she has set. She herself and one Magnet Hollow were the only true Link Jokers on the field. The other units were Luquier representing Rosalia, Ramiel representing Hana, Ashlei representing Noel, and Reverse Daiyusha to represent his darker self. He could only smile at the sight. All people he wanted to surpass, even his Reverse self. It reminded him of the time before all this started. He even spoke it out loud.

”When I first came here, I always wanted to be able to fight them equally. Thinking about it, I was selfish… probably still am selfish. But, I can do something with it. I can use it to create a future for everyone that deserves it! That includes you, Flonne!”

She immediately called him dense for his statement. Flonne was dead. Nothing could change that. He was convinced that the Time Dragon, Chronojet, could give all the Reincarnated Seeds their future when this was all done. Darren felt like he was fighting to see that happen, and he couldn’t afford to lose, because they deserved to be happy after all they went through. Trinity was a part of it too, she deserved to be happy.

Halcyon and her army attacked with full force. Halcyon’s sword was blocked by Daishield. Magnet Hollow and Luquier were stopped by two Dailanders, however Ashlei and Ramiel broke through and caused a damage. Thanks to a heal trigger, that meant it was 3 to 3.

Darren grinned as it was his turn. “You’re really strong, and so’s your resolve…” he said to her. “But I’m not the guy that underestimated you last time. I’m coming at you with all I’ve got! Dailion gives me Limit Break even without four damage! So, I Ride, Ultimate Dimensional Robo… True… Great Daikaiser!” The Dimension Hero began to glow and his form changed to his true ultimate power. He and Darren both began to glow as his unit was mimicking all of his movements. “We seek our partner! The original Dimension Hero, Great Daiyusha!”

Daiyusha appeared and brought with it its limit break. It gave 2000 power to the Vanguard. Goyusha was replaced by Daimariner and the two heroes struck together. The combined power was 41000 with 3 critical and the ability to guard break twice on a Grade 3 check. “Last time your Reverse units intercepted, but at 3 damage, you can’t use your Limit Break to do that.” Trinity didn’t guard… she couldn’t guard. Darren checked his drives. Dailander, the one returned from Legion, and a Grade 3! The third unit appeared and the three struck at once, striking at the armor that guarded her true feelings. The battle itself ended there. Trinity couldn’t fight any longer. She had lost, and Darren had won.

Xat watched everyone go to there battles and summoned shirayuki merging with her once again. SHe then took to the sky using the fact that shirayuki was considered a ghost and floated, with a sword drawn she waisted no time in entering the battle. At seeing Darren win she smiled a little before focasing again and trying to figure out a way to make an opening so that Nemises can get through and deal damage to the leagon. She landed next to The cross and spoke. "i can create a distracton and an opening for both you and Nemsis to deal with the legon if that is ok?" she asked her, keeping an eye on there opponets.

The battle waged against Darren had caused Trinity to grow more unstable. Flonne's persona had been doing most of the talk with Trinity's still shadowed by the control Harbinger had on her. Yet both shared the same goal. To destroy Darren and the rest of humanity. She fought with all she had and yet.....she could not overcome Darren's will to break through the armor that protected Trinity, both literal and figurative. Dropping her sword, Trinity was on a knee, twitching as her armor began to crack more and more as it was breaking apart. "This is....unacceptable. I must....fulfill....must destroy happiness....must....must...." And as her helmet broke off completely, Trinity and Flonne's voice echoed out at the same time with a mighty scream. "I must end EVERYTHING!"


Trinity's Reverse energy bursted out like a geyser, almost covering the entire cave as she began to absorb her Reverse units unto herself as she once did to her Shadow Paladin Witches when she became Halcyon. A dome of the energy covered her as waves of Reverse energy burst before it cracked and finally exploded. It didn't take long for Trinity to be revealed, in a completely new form. Visible Reverse energy was pouring from her constantly as her cold eyes stared at Darren and everyone. "The end is here. This world shall be consumed. And humanity's hope shall be extinguished."

Darren thought that when the armor was gone Trinity would reveal her true self. Maybe that's exactly what happened. At the moment the Reverse energy burst from her, he knew he screwed up. He'd antagonized a soldier to become a demon. When the dust, and the dome, cleared, he saw the new form she had taken.

Darren had to spike his own energy to keep it from leaking too much and affecting the other battles. Of course it could still be felt, but he was acting as a power shield to hold off the malicious Reverse energy. He took a step forward as he gave grin. She became even stronger because of him, and he was the one to deal with the result.

"Guess you're finally expressing yourself!" he called out to her as his units disappeared. It wasn't a retreat, it was a reset to conserve power.

"Do you have the energy to fight this kind of battle?"

"I didn't burn it all in the last fight, so I'm alright. Being able to control the output has its benefits."

"Her power isn't just stronger, it changed. It's just like..."

Darren nodded as he already understood. "I couldn't fight that thing before, so now's the time for me to make up for Yuki's disappointment in me back then. Trinity, I'm setting you free from all that hate!"

A deep frustration built in Okuri as the girl Chris shared her story. How was it possible? Another human that only wanted fighting, violence and pain. How was there so little humanity left in this woman that she felt happiness in killing? How many of these people were there? In all his years Okuri had come to think humans on the whole only killed when required to defend their home or family. But now he was faced with another that wanted to take life. The Reapers seemed to attract them like moths to a flame. Harbinger hadn't needed to twist this one to do her bidding at all. Carrying out the tasks of the Reapers was fun to her. She compared them to herself stating that ultimately all they wanted was to win. The spirit growled at the idea as fighting to defend life and fighting to take it could not be compared in his mind. There was still some sense of dread of hurting a human left from earlier but he knew he had to at the least incapacitate this girl. Legion loomed behind her and Nemesis would need to get to them before the Resistance could once again damage the pair.

The others began occupying themselves with another woman. One more drone who apparently was still loyal to Harbinger and still able to fight. But as several moved to intercept her the spirit turned his focus to the three opponents in front of him. "Let's clear a path!" he called out to his units and Carlos beside him. If the green haired girl wanted to think of herself as a Reaper she would be treated as one. Great Nature launched several attacks at the trio of Cerberus hoping to open opportunities to attack the girl and the Reapers separately. Okuri charged forward with them to begin the assault on the Clown.

Daikaiser vs Glendios!! The Ultimate Reverse Superweapon!!

Darren couldn’t believe she had changed so much… become this new form. It was still in his way, in the way of what he wanted. At first, he merely wanted to defeat Trinity and move on to Sovereign, but now he wanted to save her. He wanted her to have the choice of what she wanted. Of course, Trinity’s new look wasn’t hard on the eyes either, but he wasn’t going to get distracted. He was going to fight to give Trinity a future as much as anyone else.

From Grade 1 to Grade 3, the battle was intense. An early critical from Trinity lead to 2 attacks with a heal from Darren and then a Heal from Trinity that was blocked. By the time anyone went to Grade 3, the damage was 1 to 1. Darren called forth his Super Dimensional Robo Daikaiser and even called another to rear. Both attack and both hit their mark. Darren was serious now.

Determined to end everything, Trinity brought forth the ultimate weapon the Star Vaders had ever made. Star Vader, Omega Glendios!  She called a Reverse unit and locked his Daikaiser rear. She was able to use Cold Breath Dragon to lock the other front row rear position. Darren knew the power of Glendios well. Even without fighting, he saw the whole thing. If all of his rear guard circles were locked, he could lose no matter the damage. The world would end… he couldn’t allow that. It wasn’t easy to do anything about it when the Seed Fragments within him were flaring within him. It added to their power but also made it hard to even move.

Darren used the power of Dailion. With its skill, he brought forth the first Ultimate form of Daikaiser. “Ultimate Dimensional Robo, Great Daikaiser!” It had Break Ride skill with Cross Ride power. 23000 attack with 2 critical. Not only that, but Darren used Limit Break to give it a third drive check. Power that rivaled Stride in power and Drive checks. He attacked with it and it hit with a Critical Trigger adding to it. Trinity instantly went from 2 damage to 5, but that was all he could do. Great Daikaiser appeared through Goyusha’s Trans-Dimension ability. As a result, he had less rear guards than before. That didn’t matter. In one turn, Trinity was able to lock two circles once again.

Darren looked at his hand and decided to take a chance. He reverted Daikaiser to his Super Dimensional Robo form, which meant he lost the extra defense of the Cross Ride. He fought with what he could but he couldn’t inflict any extra damage to Trinity. She continued her assault, attacking Darren with Glendios and attacking any unlocked rears with her rears. Darren was running short on options. He took a breath and took hold of the unit in his hand, the one he was sure could bring him victory.

”Ultimate hero, come forth in your true final form! The time has come for your full power! Ride, True… Ultimate Dimensional Robo, Great Daikaiser!” His unit began to glow again and the true form of Daikaiser emerged. Like before, Daiyusha soon came to his side. He attacked with his True Daikaiser for 41000 power and 3 critical. Trinity couldn’t stop it before, but this time it was redirected. A reverse unit took the Combined Justice Sword in place of Glendios by retiring a guard unit. As a result, Darren couldn’t even negate the skill with a Grade 3 check. The Reverse unit was soon replaced with Karin’s Overlord and it attacked with Glendios. They both struck, bringing Darren to 5 damage. Ashlei attempted to end the battle, but a guard prevented this. With almost nothing left, Darren moved his hand to his deck. Not to concede, but the opposite.

”I’m the one who decides my fate… Not some Tomato Head, not an ultimate evil superweapon… Everyone has the right to choose what they want!”

Those words seemed to resonate with Trinity. The idea of a choice… as if calling out to the idea of being able to choose her own path, she said one simple thing. “….. Kill me…” Darren’s eyes went wide at her words. He was always prepared to fight, but he never killed anyone. Even when battling the Noel of the future, he spared her life and gained the Seed for it. Still… this was her choice. He couldn’t just ignore that. He could tell that it was the first time she had ever made such a choice since falling into Harbinger’s hands.

The two Dimensional Heroes attacked to be met with two perfect guards, one blocking each. Darren hesitated only for a moment. He knew he had to do this… He knew that, but it didn’t make it easier. ”I promise I will make a world where you’re free to do what you want. When I do, I’ll bring you back to enjoy it!” He spoke with tears in his eyes as he checked the first unit. Daikaiser, a grade three was revealed. The second card appeared as well. Daibazooka… “By its skill… Countercharge 1, and Soul Charge 1… And also, it gains Grade +1!” A grade 2 that became a Grade 3 at just the right moment! The two Dimensional Robos broke through the guardians and Darren jumped up and grabbed both of their blades. He swung them both down and struck Glendios. A heal attempted to save it, but the critical was 2. Only one heal appeared. The battle ended.

Unfortunately… that wasn’t the end. “Please… kill me…” were the words he heard from Trinity, the real Trinity. Not the imitation Harbinger made to battle them but Trinity’s true feelings. Darren held up Daikaiser’s sword. He knew this had to be done. One more time, he said to her… ”I promise I’ll bring you back…” Trinity thanked him as his blade came down, slashing the center of her chest. For the first time in his life, Darren killed his opponent.

The arrival to the Reapers HQ was surreal at best - Carlos flew there on top of a giant robot. A GIANT ROBOT. Well, a Dimensional Robo but you know what I mean. Once they reached their destination, the young man regrouped quickly with Okuri. To his surprise, the cave that served as headquarters for the invaders looked a lot like... A normal house. One with kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and even a fridge. It was a sadly reminder of how most of their enemies were just humans who, for whatever reasons, decided to follow the Deletors in their quest for destruction and erasure. As the rest of the army looked for clues in every corner of the strangely empty base, deep in the resounded a call for backup coming from Cyber Hikari... Followed by an explosion that filled the ears of the present fighters with insufferable screams and otherworldly noises.

The fighter followed the call for help to the deepest part of the cave, with his eyes and ears closed as much as he could to try and resist the destruction of his hearing abillity. Once he reached said part of the cave, he opened his eyes only to notice his towering enemies - The twin Reapers codenamed Legion, accompanied by the scythe-wielding Drone Chris. "C-Chris!" Carlos said, showing some concern about her, recalling that the last time he saw her she was actually puking black void. It was gross, no kidding. He looked around hoping to see more Drones, but in the end he found no more enemies. He sighed in relief that Koga nor Fuki were present, but he couldn't help but feel a little bit of sadness given that he wasn't going to see his blonde goddess one more time. "At least I won't have to fight her anytime soon..." He thought about the positive aspects of said situation. Soon after, the giant squid and the psychopath were joined by somewhat familiar face to the freedom fighter - A Drone along with malefic versions of famous Units like Luquier, Ashlei and Daiyusha. "I'm pretty sure she threw me across an hospital corridor at least once...".

Chris told the small audience she gathered about how she got her new powers along with her story. Carlos, along with some of the soldiers, was horrified by  how broken the girl was and how twisted her thought were at such young age. But he still couldn't shake the feeling of wanting to help her. "Damn it! Why I can't give up on people!? It would be easier for me if I just stopped being so stupid!" He thought, running along with Okuri and his Great Nature Units to attack the Cerberus trio while. It may sound strange, but he was sporting a smile. "Well, I can't imagine it any other way!" He finished his thoughts. He soon summoned Recklessness Dragon with his Reality Bangle in order to open  clear path for them to attack the green-haired Drone as the others handled the newcomer. "Lets show her who's the boss, Okuri!" He said to the spirit while charging against their opponent.

Both Noel and Mirai was among the group that stormed the Reaper HQ. This headquarters was really.... odd. It felt like an ordinary and cozy home. Not only that but storming in almost felt too easy. It seemed like no one was here. That is until they were welcomed by the Reaper's last line of defense that will stop at nothing to prevent the Resistance from reaching Harbinger.

Noel saw the duo-Reaper and her mind went blank. Another Reaper to kill. Mirai looked at Noel and without any exchange of words, she know that her past self was determined to fight the Reaper. If we get rid of it here and now.... I'll be one step closer to saving Salome!! The Kusanagi girl walked towards it's direction, standing behind the Chosen Sword of Void, ready to assist in the extermination of the Reaper duo. "Just say the word and I will help you bring it down! I won't let a single one live!" The Beacon of Light was ready, this Reaper isn't going to escape, she will make sure it dies and join the rest of the fallen ones in whatever hell they will go to. Her Reverse energy flared, their own power will be used against them for their destruction.

Mirai, however, was ready to assist anywhere that will be needed. She will help make sure that the Resistance comes out victorious.

"Of course it's alright, Xat! Create the opening, then I will open them so humanity can kill the secondary Twin Towers!" Nemesis agreed to stage a combination play with Shirayuki's vanguard, also having others such as the Beacon of Light and Hope: Noel Kusanagi backing her, and storming forward with her and others of humanity as Legion was blasted and bombarded... only for them to not yet take any damage. That was fine, mankind willingly unloaded knowing the real damage would be coming soon. With the chaos between fighting Cerberus and Halcyon, the closed space of the cavern could prove problematic. Knowing this, several officers relayed careful but decisive movements to avoid cave-ins and rubble dropping on them if at all possible, informing Commander Karin of these plans as well. Meanwhile, agile fighters like Nemesis moved about freely, the Chosen Sword of Void flying about and attacking the Juxtapose Deletors. They were... nervous. Resolute in fighting, but nervous knowing Harbinger's own super weapon had come back to bite them specifically in the ass. The android, for the first time, laughed again, although with a wicked smile. Her divine hate let her revel in Legion's fear, knowing it would be the same as Chimera's. Only, instead of fearing all of humanity, they feared their one mistake. The one mistake that is the super soldier filled with a raging lust for vengeance by mutilating the Reapers they revived.

With Xat's opening, whatever she had done, the super weapon armed herself.

"Dimension Link Sever!!" Nemesis roared as Wingal, Marron, Gallatin, and Blaster Blade all aligned as Star-vaders with Photon at their side, splitting the Reapers again as they wailed and shrieked in the utmost agony of their confused minds being broken apart. This began a ferocious attack. Nemesis was the kryptonite to them, even leaving them at a turn without being able to Legion or have rearguards. Even worse, she sixth healed as pressed down once Legion had recovered. That was it. The Juxtapose Deletors demanded her death - her head on a pike, but it was no use. It had already been solidified that the only enemy left in the Chosen Sword's league was the omnicidal God of Death. The God of War scored a Double Critical without even thinking about it, slamming them into wall with their broken minds.

"HOW... CAN THIS BE...!!" The Reapers howled, completely out of sync. Nemesis has permanently damaged their minds, weakening them for the Resistance to bravely go in with less fear and less problem.

"Die, die, for everyone you killed in my timeline and this one, die until you die to death!!"

Meanwhile, Trinity had her own Star-vaders with their issues against Darren and Karin. Chris, however, laughed and sneered as her scythe cut away at others around her in waves. Only the big names could fight her, and the Spirit of Earth was approaching with the Simple Soul and others. Grinning madly, the clique of chaotic cyberoids gathered and handled them all accordingly. Setting sights on Great Nature, "Let the games begin!" came from the psychopathic cheer. Her malefic aura was greater and stronger than both of the Reaper Sisters combined, more like that of Karin's energy with Sovereign, only it grew more suffocating and horrifying. It was erratic and wild, flowing and twisting about crazily as a reflection of the host. "Loom over the world that fears the tormenting existence, and become the Harbinger of the cackling scourge!" Chris chanted, summoning the new Star-vader, Chaos Bringer. Okuri cleverly avoided a Limit Break Summoning by utilizing the Power to Restore against that which... was basically a Reaper now in the first place. Had he kept his cards locked, the Clown himself would have arrived. However, instead, the feminine Clown giggled, revealing strength granted in the final battles for both sides. Yes, like Solis and Fuki, she too performed Stride. The clown thought injured and lost laughed in the dark space, using his new toy: Death Star-vader, Chaos Universe to declare game over. Within the confines of the grotto came an enormous Cyber Dragon wielding two crimson blades, nothing more than a mere machine - another creation by that malice with does not die. Chris found the game to be stuffed to the brim with heart-stopping thrills, mocking Okuri as he risked two passes against her. She would always talk and draw out her final drive checks, for if they were doubles, they would be the end of the line. However, while she did slam the Spirit of the Earth with a Double Critical unguarded before, each two pass failed, but Chris made sure to give the Criticals to rearguards just in case she failed. On top of this jeer, Chaos Universe had the unrivaled power of locking a card from the opponent's hand by force in the rearguard circle Chris decided. So, they lost a card from hand, and a rearguard was sealed anyway. All for Counterblast one...!

"Slash through everything with your cursed blade and cover the world with the darkness of death! Ride! Star-vader, Chaos Breaker Dragon!" Chris called forth the real Clown himself, who slaughtered Okuri's allies with his own Limit Break, ignoring Chaos Bringer's entirely. The evil dragon was vicious and cruel, utilizing his own Chaos Beat Dragon to boot and threaten with an extra stage in power. The girl and her Avatar continued to snicker and jeer at their foe. Death and despair were her blades, and they sent shocks to her that could not be rivaled by any other feeling. The thrill of the games "lit her fire", and brought her to tell Okuri to lament over his loss and in the afterlife, continue crying over the kids he had lost.

...

But Broadcast Rabbit appeared in an emergency - a sixth heal.

"... Gross." Chris sneered, dropping her supposedly invincible smile for a moment. "That's so gross! It's sickening! I wanna throw up! But it's so great that we can continue like this! What a wonderful game!!"

Okuri, in his tranquil fury, had enough and blasted the evil duo with great science. Chaos Breaker continued to jest, laughing maniacally while giving out grunts and groans of pain as he was attacked. Chris herself felt the pain of the Clown, feeling her head nearly split, as if being pounded by a jackhammer with some kind of wound forming, bleeding from her head.

Through the blood was still a grin. A significantly damaged witch still grinned with scythe in hand. She wasn't done yet by a long shot.

Once again Great Nature faced the forces of Link Joker. That was all they ever did anymore. But thankfully that meant they knew how to avoid walking into what the alien invaders wanted. Okuri refrained from calling much early on other than Sleepy Tapir who couldn't be chosen by Chris' lock effects. The girl mocked him for not trying to rush her down. With everything she did she seemed to want them trying their best to kill each other. And while the spirit didn't want to play into her games he did express his desire to stop her. If she wanted to be a Reaper she would be killed like one.

But all the experience his allies had against Link Joker couldn't have prepared Okuri for what came next. Chris too had been granted the power of Stride by Harbinger. And with it she summoned a future creation of Chaos Breaker Dragon. And though Link Joker could not normally do much if there weren't rearguards to lock this Chaos Universe did not care. He forced a card from Okuri's hand onto the field in the front row to lock it. A scythe appeared in front of Okuri going through a motion as though he were locking his own unit. The spirit looked on in disgust and horror as his ally Tester Fox was locked by this effect.

Meanwhile Chris just continued to laugh. He'd been battered to four damage quickly and he couldn't take the damage from this G Unit. As it was he was already struggling to simply stand in its presence. He put an array of guardians requiring two triggers to break through. With the triple drive it was a distinct possibility. Chris did get one trigger and empowered her vanguard hoping to break through. But the second trigger didn't come and though their resources were dwindled Great Nature stood strong against the attack.

Using Chronoje'ts power Okuri was able to unlock his rearguard Tester Fox. Combined with the power of a Breakride Legion turn he was now set for a full offensive. Using the Fox Legion, Tapir and Chatnoir's skills to greatly empower a rearguard his units attacked with all their might. But even this couldn't break through the girl's defenses. And all the while she laughed and mocked him. She rode the original Chaos Breaker and impressively locked Okuri's back row which had been left behind. He had kept his front row relatively clear but the back row wasn't as easy to do so. Still her mocking continued. She was so enjoying her game. At every opportunity she sought to taunt him knowing how it bothered her opponent. He'd had enough. "Stop it!" he yelled. A faint glow came to his sash similar to how it had against Nemesis and the earth trembled again ever so slightly. Chaos Breaker could only laugh even as his forces failed to finish Okuri that turn.

Another attack with only a front row proved unsuccessful in finishing the clown but then she had hardly anything left. He was confident he could finish it the next turn. But then his three units unlocked. Chaos Breaker retired them all upon unlocking and handed the psychopath a card for each unit retired. Suddenly she had plenty to work with. It appeared she had all she needed to win now.

But then she said it. She mentioned he'd get to die soon like the other humans that had been deleted that he kept crying about. To the spirit's heart ready to tear open old wounds these words ran deep and painful into his chest. But he remained silent. The girl attacked with Chaos Breaker and he could not hope to guard it. Then the checks came. No criticals on her part. The scythe swung down to reap the Fox Legion and their Vanguard, a painful slash tearing open across the trio's chests. The Spirit reeled back but then something happened.

"This is an emergency broadcast!!" a voice sounded over what sounded like a megaphone. Perhaps she didn't have the best equipment under the circumstances. But still it was Broadcast Rabbit who healed the Legion and Okuri, patching up the nasty gashes very nicely. An emergency system signal sounded as she did so with instructions being quickly relayed to the other members of Great Nature. He was able to guard the remaining attacks. The serious calm remained about him. Chris on the other hand seemed disgusted by his "luck". And perhaps that's all it was. But Okuri trusted in his allies to help him and Broadcast Rabbit had proven true to that trust at a critical moment. If that was luck he'd gladly take it. Anything to stop the raving madwoman in front of him.

"You'll regret the things you've said today clown." he said with a tranquil fury to his voice. "The lives of the people I care about aren't things for you to play with!" he yelled out in defiance of her mindset. The idea that lives were only to be taken by the strong sickened him. How someone could show so little regard for life was so far beyond him. How this girl existed as she did even despite her story confused him to no end. And so all he could do was reject it. Fight against and it hopefully put it down. The Fox Legion attacked and struck true, a series of science explosions damaging Chaos Breaker. A small beaker blew up in Chris's face drawing blood.

The Clown was injured but by no means out. But with Nemesis handling the Reapers behind the girl and attempting to tear them apart again this was a good offensive. Great Nature needed to time to regroup and resupply but it was a good start to the fight. They needed to keep up the pace!

"Carlos! Give her hell!" he called out to his friend knowing those of Narukami under his command would more than rise to the challenge of toppling the twisted duo of Chris and Chaos Breaker.

The brunette stood off on the sidelines as everyone advanced toward the enemy, pressuring them hard. Yukino had damaged Legion, Carlos and Okuri had struck a blow against Chris, and Darren had slain Trinity. That... might be hard on him later, so he made note to try and speak to him when he could. That being said, he turned his attention away from that and focused on Chris, a soft light appearing on his shoulder.

"You sure about this? If you mess up here, you die." it's voice echoed in his head, a question to which he smiled.

"Won't be the first time." he replied, dashing toward the sadistic girl kicking up a mass cloud of dirt of dirt in the process before the light got a chance to speak again.

Neo finally made his way to Reaper HQ and he noticed that the battles had begun. He landed along with Blitzkrieg down to the ground.

"So the battles have begun.." He said

One arm and all, Nothing was going to stop Neo. He had come too far to turn back now. He couldn't turn back even if he wanted too. There were too many people counting on Neo to end this war.

"You can do this my Vanguard. We all believe in you" Blitzkrieg said to Neo

Neo noticed that Legion had taken serious damage, so he went after him. After all.. Neo lost to Legion the last time they faced off. This time Neo was ready to defeat it once and for all

Xat's opeing was a giant blizzard with illusions to confused their opponets and smiled at seeing Nemises managed to deal damage and xat herself began to attack one of the leigons with her power and landed on the ground in front of them and shot an ice beam at them while they were focased on the others.

"It seems that they are weaking but not by much." Shirayuki said to Xat who nodded in agreement.

"Well then lets not let them recover." Xat said and landed in front of the leigon. "Give up, there is no way you can win." SHe told it while preparing to deal anouther strike to them

Fubuki bit her lower lip and gritted her teeth, stepping towards the psychopath in front of her. Everyone else... Everyone else seemed so focused on destroying her, and Fubuki was tempted to as well. She doubted she could help the girl that was fighting to the death before her, but despite the awful things that Chris had said, the awful things she did, for the sake of Aoi's dying wish... Fubuki stepped forward. Just to try and help this person. It was too late, Fubuki already knew that, but it was the only thing she could think of to do, the only thing she thought Cyan would try to do.

"I... I will be the one to stop you, Chris!" Fubuki raised her reality bangle, calling the Blue Storm Armada to her side.

Darren watched as the battle progressed around him. The psychotic clown battled with her Chaos Breaker against Okuri and Carlos and Seifer as Legion was attacked by Neo and Karin. He closed his eyes, taking the moment to reflect as the battles were all occupied. There was blood on his hands, literal blood. It was bad enough how many people died at the hands of Malice but this... he chose to do this himself. Who was to know, if he had met Trinity first, this might have ended differently.

His eyes flashed as he clenched his fist. Harbinger was the reason he did this. If not for her, Trinity wouldn't have been tainted to that way of thinking, corrupted to the point that death was the only answer. Not only that, but she was the only thing standing in the way from the one thing that could bring her back. He made a promise, and he would do everything he could to see it through. His body was glowing with the Seeds power as his energy threatened to shake the cave. He had to take a breath just to prevent a cave in. "This ends today..."

After Okuri awesome attempt to immobilize the giant mechanical scythe-wielding dragon along with its master, Carlos followed with his Thunder Dragons, Demons, High Beasts, Dragonmans (and womans) and at least one normal Human. He was surprised to see that Chris remembered him, given that after all the things he heard it was obvious that she had problems with at least a dozen of people. The fight against the clown and his minions started with no clear indications of who had the upper hand, but it was still to early to figure it out.

The young fighter still craved to reach the poor broken soul he was facing, but he was still reluctant as he was well aware of the nature of his opponent and how difficult it would be to change the mind of the Drones that remained. He tried to appeal to her human side, but an comment about his blonde goddess caught the poor Narukami user off guard and prevented any advance. The fight went downhill from there. With the powerful combo of Detonics Drill and Detonics Stinger Dragon, Carlos managed to inflict considerable damage to the girl and her creature. But it wasn't enough to knock the Cyber Dragon down. A parade of Locking ("Not the dance") and Rear Guard destruction ensued in the coming turns of the duel, with Carlos surviving barely.

The young man's indecision about how to proceed in his attempt to help the girl was rewarded in the most spectacular and horrible way. His opponent answered his good intentions by displaying a new 'trick' from her repertoire, which she reportedly used in the previous fight against the friendly spirit Okuri. It was the Stride ability. Using the otherworldly power, Chris managed to summon a mechanical dragon even more powerful than the scythe-wielding one. The Unit, Chaos Universe, outdid the previous Chaos Breaker Dragon by Locking fighters that weren't even in the field at the moment. From there, only one attack was enough to defeat the Narukami. Carlos was knocked back, but without any serious injuries apart from light bruises. "Sorry Okuri..." He addressed his friend. "I'm not cold enough to give her hell...". But not everything was lost, as the young man saw how his old friend Seifer and the familiar Fubuki stepped in to confront the psychopath. "But I bet they can" He added.

With Nemesis having rent Legion's two halves apart, Karin took her chance to strike at them both. Calling on the shade of The End once again, she clashed with the twin existence, feeling her power surge back to life in the heat of the fight. Despite having been beaten down a number of times throughout the day, The Cross felt stronger than ever- And it showed. She and The End traded blows with the Juxtapose Deletors over and over, the fight dragging on and on, but she was the one winning this war of attrition. She was burning out the Legion's energy faster than the twin Deletors could produce more to fuel themselves with, eventually overcoming their power to Delete her, and then, overcoming the Legion itself. The End, after a period of his connection to The Cross being shaky, re-established itself in full force, and the two Overlords cut through the Reaper known as Legion.

Cerberus, though not the Twin Towers of the End, were all outrageously powerful. With Halycion having been taken care of, it was still as if fighting three of the strongest Reapers among Link Joker. Chris, the most evil drone who challenged mankind as a mirror to Lucifer and even to Harbinger herself, dueled the Resistance with the thrill of Life, Death, and all of Creation at stake. This twisted witch didn't care for the fact that all of existence would end if she won, she saw it as the "maximum score without cheating", as she described to Seifer. Loud, booming screams of eldritch abominations echoed and resounded, the cavern falling apart with the large scale war in such a small space. Legion, in their panic, dealt with Commander Karin the Cross, the Kaiser Hero Neo, Beacon of Light Noel, and the still furious God of War Nemesis while their minds were split in two. Neo had a rather disastrous plight of grade three Kaisers swarming his hand, and Karin had the same, though fared far better with Persona Blasts at her disposal. Noel herself attacked the Juxtapose Deletors with Reverse, another of Link Joker's own power. Nemesis stood alongside her and Xat who continued her powerful freezing techniques, utilizing the Berserk Emotion Clones of Royal Paladin and her own technical Reverse in tandem with the girls to continuously bat away at the weakened foe. The playing field was greatly evened with Legion's power so depleted it could not muster the full might of its power. This was it, the moment they'd all been striving for! The moment of crushing the number three of the Reapers, two heads of Cerberus!!

On the other hand, Chris in her crazed nature laughed at Carlos and Seifer, her trump card: Chaos Universe was far more of a problem than anticipated by the Resistance. It was difficult, as most of them had prepared to handle Delete and some locks, but the cradle of Chaos championed Lock and killed anyone sealed with no hope of survival except on a whim... only to be locked again. This sadistic cruelty was only furthered by the female Clown's desire to just have fun - a good time while attacking anyone and everyone. She made a quick jab at Rosalia not being around by calling her the "Severed Limb", but that got brushed aside and they proceeded normally. Carlos reached out to try and help Chris, just as he always did with everyone. However, Chris retorted with not exactly caring, as she was not like Fuki who was responding to a crush. That may have caught him off guard for a moment, but Chris' damage control to survive Detonics' Limit Break-Break Ride combination was far too strong. Even worse, she crippled the Seekers, by holding them down and leaving only the revolting "Guardian" Dragon, Thing Saver Dragon who was fine fighting alone. The Scythe-Swinging psychopathic had people lock their units by their own hand with their own choice via Chaos Universe, and brutally skewered all locks with her incredible Limit Breaks, sustaining herself and reflecting her nature. She'll use a mountain of corpses as footsteps to survive and win, for that was all that mattered on top of having fun while doing so. Her aura grew wild and out of control, even causing damage to the structures about them. Fubuki, a boring individual in Chris' opinion even joined in on the excitement. Narukami, Royal Paladin, and Aqua Force all attacked the Star-vaders of Insanity as best they could, and it could only go so far. Though, even Chris could only go so far. The damage done to Chaos Breaker was dealt to her as well in a lifelink, leaving her with numerous injuries she did her best to ignore while fighting. Yet, also stated the pain made her heart throb - her adrenaline had achieved maximum ecstasy.

"This is the greatest high!" Chris screamed euphorically, she and her Avatar Chaos Breaker swinging their scythes in wide arcs to clear away their opponents... except one who kept going. Fubuki and Aqua Force kept fighting their worst matchup. Fubuki was strong, resolute, and resilient. This wasn't fun and games for her, and she would not go along with Chris and her jolly Vanguard playing. So the maniacal cheer taunted, saying Fubuki has nothing to say to anyone really, and there's nothing inside of her. ... And Fubuki responded that there was nothing in Chris either. She responded that there's the spirit of competition and raving emotion, but those were not substantial things according to... anyone. Her heart was gone, as far as they understood it. Her humanity, her love, her decency as a human being... a peaceful smile. None of that was inside Chris anymore. With the twisted brand of "justice" born in her timeline, along with the rampaging lust for survival and triumph, the dying psychopath grinned maliciously as her gigantic geyser of Void for an aura continued its destruction. Her own blood mixed with the evil energy, creating the image of a one-winged demon, eyes and mouth visibly drawn only by said energy. A shell of pure, malefic force. Chris was all alone, and all she cared about was winning for the end of the final game.

But it didn't have to be that way. Winning wasn't everything.

"That's right!!" One of the soldiers shouted as Noel had collapsed from her battle with Legion, hearing Fubuki's words. "You guys... don't have to worry about a thing!! You can lose, and it'll be fine... Because we're here!!" He continued, raising morally vastly after being inspired by the Beacon of Light who said humanity cannot fall or succumb again. They simply wouldn't, and that was enough. With a roaring Nemesis, dutiful Spirit Infused Xat, blazing Cross, storming Kaiser, Courageous Hearted Jewel Knights, and humanity's own firepower along with weaker units... Their incredible force blasted Legion through the cave walls, sending the Juxtapose Deletors out into the open sky of dark, rainy clouds preparing for a downpour. Cracks appeared all over their bodies, oozing Void. Their bodies trembled and quaked, and they howled and wailed.


Legion - nay, Zaele and Gaele were engulfed by a gigantic sphere of Void, being swallowed by erasure as their threshold was met. Humanity was in an uproar of excitement, having defeated the Twin Towers of Mind and Halcyon who obtained Glendios... However... The last... Chrisaline was hugged by Fubuki within her suffocating ocean of Void. Chaos Universe, Stridden a second time in a game, struck the girl of snow when she could have guarded it. Chris didn't understand, as Fubuki explained it was to show winning isn't everything. Not even she was there to "win" against the malefic Clowns. Why? Losing... If she loses, the universe is going with her and everyone else killed... despite the girl being at an obvious limit. Even so... Fubuki took the sixth damage without trying to stop Chris, though she could have guarded. So, the psycho hollered, calling her a loser and saying she has no will to survive. But there was an image... "hope", a feminine figure behind Fubuki enveloped in light. Her "friend" that "lost", so everyone else in the world would have a chance to win in this nightmare.

Lost... so others could win.

Chris remembered the kid she left behind at her asylum in order to escape herself. That person "lost" so Chris could "win", but this malicious selfishness was not the only way it worked... Chris' black heart in isolation was understanding. It was a disgusting thought, but Fubuki even stated that at times, even those who win die. So then... what... did Chris have? Nobody but this random girl trying to reach out to her... and succeeding to an extent. Chris won the game, but lost the war. She couldn't continue to kill everyone else, and really, she couldn't have even except the mental institute alone. ... So then... an evil grin was painted as she "hugged" Fubuki. "That just means you, that person, and everyone are all losers who can't win by themselves... Even me!" The girl shouted in resignation, swinging her scythe so it would pierce through the duo. Yes... Chris chose death, having impaled herself as well. Congratulations... I... lost... You at least... taught me something. Chris thought to herself, yanking out the scythe as her Star-vaders and Fubuki's Blue Storms vanished. Chris began to stammer and teeter, walking backward to the gaping hole humanity made kicking Legion out.

"MEDICS!" Nemesis screamed, having seen it unfold as healers rushed to Fubuki's aid to do what they could. However, Chris fell, her back to rocks, gazing at the stormy sky... and giggling quietly, then madly and triumphantly.

"I lost... huhuhu... What an interesting feeling... My vision is blurry... and it's so hard to breathe? Haha... It doesn't matter to Harbinger and Sovereign, I suppose... After all, they didn't need us anymore."

"... What do you mean?" Nemesis asked the dying drone, having heard her monologue.

"Huhu... The game... the winner has been decided already. The strongest trump card - a Divine Power! How splendid! If only I could have seen it myself... The details of this rigged game."

"Rigged?"

"Huhuhu... I'm going to sleep now... thinking of what that dumb girl... that dumb Aqua Force girl said to me... The Twin Towers of the End... are both waiting at the one place everything began."

Chris closed her eyes with a satisfied smile, one filled with maleficence. Nemesis was simply... in awe that people like her and Sophie existed. Not monsters like Harbinger, but twisted humans like them that had their lives end without changing their morality. That evil like this... was real.

... It didn't matter, the battle against Cerberus was over now.

"... I know where Chris is talking about... The one place everything about all of this and more started.

... Follow me when you're ready to go."

Nemesis did not spend time mourning, but instead, gave Fubuki a soldier's salute. The God of War had only one target left now, and didn't dwell on going to find it as it began drizzling outside.
