Seed of Darkness - Dark Dimension Encounter

One after the other, opponents piled onto him. The Shadow Fighter was unlike any Omen before. They had all used the power of Zeal, the servant of Malice, but this one now possessed the power of Legion. Okuri was the first to learn how powerful that actually was. His strength was overcome before he knew what was happening. Barely 4 damage, and the 4th came with a devastating power. Tester Fox of the Great Nature was weakened simply because Zeal had been damaged. And what's worse, The other Zeal had access to Limit Break, pushing the unit to a power below Zero. With such little power, he was unable to guard.

The next was Haruka. His Aqua Force proved to be much more of a challenge. A challenge that the Shadow Fighter had not prepared for. The combination of Lambros and Thavas were even able to overcome the skill that had defeated Okuri. All of the power he lost, made up for with his Legion attack. The Marines showed themselves able to stand up to the threat, even if the fight was not an easy one.

Carlos came after that. His Narukami were vicious and an attack from Armor Break Dragon for 3 damage almost destroyed the form of Zeal in one strike, but he was able to hold on. His ability proved to save him the need to defend. Even when all seemed bright, he could do nothing. In the end, Darwin broke the Legion and Galactic Beast Zeal fought alone. By himself he was enough to defeat Armor Brake Dragon and the Narukami user.

Malice grinned as he took in the energy from their struggles. Haruka and Carlos gave a massive amount of power to them on their own. He could feel the Seeds within him solidifying. He was so close. On more should be all it took. A special one... Yukino perhaps? Maybe Neo? His passion provided him with much strength before. Just as he was about to speak, his eyes widened. He sensed the presence of another one near by. Someone who should have enough power to give him exactly what he needed.

"It seems that someone wants a rematch, Noel Kusanagi?"

Who knew so much had happened while Noel was out of commission. She couldn't believe the Resistance found a way to fight back against the Reapers. Wow, I can't believe that still! We actually have a chance of driving them away for good!

Raiden explained it all as they made it to their destination. The main weakness which caused two Reapers to be killed is by somehow finding an opening and crack their skull open. Once it's open, simply go all hell's rage on it so it can die and just disappear forever. After discovering that, humanity showed ability to fight back and won two fights due to this discovery. But then came the bad news. Seifer and some others joined the side of the Reapers. Seifer of all people, why. Noel gritted her teeth when they arrived as the thought of maybe fighting Seifer as an enemy was eventually going to happen. There was just a slight glimmer of hope that they might be controlled and doing so against their will. Even that strange girl called Mirai went missing and no one knows where she went.

"Jeez, this has to end now!" Noel's Reality Bangle reacted and she summoned her Reversed Jeweled Sword just like the time when she went berserk and foolishly attacked the Reaper. "Back up has arrived!"

Why weren't the Resistance forces coming? It's because a little green leaf of evil has paralyzed them with spider webs. No, this isn't cabbage or lettuce. It's the demon spawn: Chris. A happy giggle came from the bug loving girl, smiling giddily as those reinforcements that moved far too slow were stopped mid-way, unable to assist in fighting against the coming god of darkness. She made sure to torment a good number of them by having the spider webs follow them instead of ambush them all from above or in front. Give them hope for escaping, then delete it. These webs were empowered by Lock, having a clan that mastered a lesser version of lock. The Deletors had the power to annihilate the vanguard and seal the rearguard. Chris had the power to poison the vanguard and stun everything.

A Reaper in the making, one would think.

When Yukino attempted to assault the Shadow Fighter, Fuki had arrived again, hidden in the shadows. The Chosen Sword's instinct to kill everything that caused suffering led her to see the blonde, even with the sixth sense being completely illogical. Before she could react again, Fuki locked her, and pinned the snow woman onto the ground. The bindings tightly gripped on her again, causing her to grunt and growl in pain, like a wounded, rampaging animal.

Those that did make it were the medics and they were busy taking Okuri away.

Jessie was... rather upset.

Neo started watching the cardfight between The Shadow Fighter and Noel and he made a fist with his hand because he was angry that it wasnt him fighting. But deep down he knew that Noel could beat him to end all of this.. But while Neo wished he was fighting.. he knew it would be out of revenge for what happened to Darren and Neo doesnt fight for revenge, So he just stood back and watched the fight..

After Haruka finally claimed a victory over the Shadow Fighter, he wasted no time watching damage spin to him left and right. Tidal Assault was the MVP of this assault, dishing out a total of 5 damage all game by himself. It was a rather splendid act to watch the whole Force come together.

Though there were other issues at hand now. Haruka spun on his heel to Yukino who was now on the ground struggling with a lock he didn't even notice had hit her. He must have been too focused on the battle he was just fighting.

"Yukino, are you okay?"

Haruka instinctively grabbed at his sheath, but instead of pulling that thing out again, he knelt to the bound Yukino and defended her from more Lock shots that Fuki would lay out.

Sera was busy taking Jessie away from the fight, laying him down next to a shrine statute.

"Relax, dude. The Resistance has got this, no worries. We're all gonna be okay. Okuri will be fine too."

Mizumi barely made it to the scene on time with Satoshi, ready to aid and protect those who needed help. First up, the dog. He was going to need quite a bit of medical attention with soul resonance. At least she can pass the treatment off as just petting the poor guy.

Things seemed to be getting bad, the ... dog person? Was the first to go, and while he managed to deal damage, was ultimately injured. How close to death was he?... He hoped it wasn't that bad, but... ultimately his hopes were proven not fruitful as the medics arrived to take Okuri away while the others fought the Shadow Fighter. Haruka washed over the monster as if it were nothing, to which Aedan cheered him on, the red head also cheering on Carlos who lost in the end but dealt... massive damage. This was going great, so it seemed.

Glancing at boss lady however, he noticed she got trapped all of a sudden. What, was that? His head started to really hurt, and it almost sounded like static was filling his hearing. But he wouldn't succumb to it this time.

"That won't do." Ezel spoke before leaping forward, shattering the binding ring that held Yukino.

Aedan himself walked over to Yukino, offering a hand to help her up as Ezel and Garmore blocked the way that the ring had come from, Garmore still growling.

Just like Okuri before him, Carlos was sent flying back once he checked his sixth damage. If it weren't for a nearby tree, the young cardfighter would have ended at the entrance of the shrine or further. Even with the combination of Armor Break Dragon and Detonics Stinger Dragon, he couldn't finish the fight and handle the damage his body was receiving from the rule imposed by Lord Wickedness at the same time. 

All the harm he was receiving made him misplay. A lot. "... Well, looks like I'm just that stupid" He thought, struggling to not lose consciousness. "And I didn't get to know that girl... What a waste...". However, before closing his eyes, he managed to see a woman approaching. "I-It's you... The beautiful girl!" He managed to speak out loud, trying to get her attention. "H-Hey... W-What's your z-zodiac sign?". 

But everything changed once he saw her... Attacking Hikari and pinning her down!. He just couldn't believe it. "W-Wait! What are you d-doing!?". He tried to approach her, to the point where he managed to grab her by her arm. "S-Stop that!".

Had Yukino had some anger management, she would've accepted Aedan's hand as Ezel unlocked her. However, since all she knows is hate and rage at the moment with Fuki around, Exculpate transformed XIV's sword into a blade of light, extending into the shadows like a bullet in hopes to stab the traitorous blonde. However, she was gone, of course. Fuki kept moving, pumping out lock orbs from darkness like rapidly firing bullets from a submachine gun. Now, able to respond, the warrior commander joined in on deflecting the attacks. "Thank you!" She expressed hasty gratitude to Aedan's Ezel and Haruka. She'd like to say something to his lion, but she knows it isn't hers. Hers was still with that freak of nature, and she needed to get him back.

Fuki gave Carlos a quick glance before continuing her barrage, flinging him off of her arm, and using her other.

Jessie clenched his fists. "I know, but...! He wound up like this trying to protect me! This isn't like Bashiro where I stood alongside him, I stood behind him! I don't want to stand behind people!"

"Let's all burn eternally..." Chris sung.

The battle between the Jewel Knights and Zeal began again, just like before. The Shadow Fighter weakened his foe with each turn, drawing her damage closer to the breaking point, but something was different this time. Noel was different. Malice gave a grin at how much power she had gained simply from understanding her true self.

Ashlei appeared and was able to break limits even before the damage was 5. It was unbelievable, but she had found power that went beyond Limit Break. The Shadow Fighter was taking more visible damage. It was clear to see his limit was being reached. He didn't even have the strength to preform Legion. His Zeal appeared in his hand as well as in the damage. Her power broke his Legion before it even happened.

Noel then revealed even more. Prevail Jewel Knight, Yvain. He couldn't stop its might. He was hit, hit hard. The damage came to a heal at the 6th, but the power was so much and he had been harmed so much by all the others, he didn't have enough to withstand the force. Before the damage could even be healed, his body exploded from the power of her Light. The Shadow Fighter had failed, but this only caused Malice to laugh out.

"Hahahaha! You exceeded my expectations! Noel Kusanagi, your power and the work of the Reapers was just what I needed to complete the Seeds within!" His body started to glow with a red and purple aura. His body erupted and morphed in a flash of that aura as a new form was revealed.


"I have achieved my true form and power. Power that surpasses reality. With this, I can truly, finally exist... as ruler of this world." Sin Buster and Uru Buster's cards began to glow as they changed. There would be only one chance. If this was to end, it would be now or never.

With the shadowy servant dispatched and Malice now vulnerable to fight, Sakuya decided this was her moment. Stepping forward and clicking on the Reality Bangle, she held her deck up at Malice, her challenge issued. There was something almost familiar about this, a faint sense of destiny, as if there was some small connection between her and this being of darkness, but Sakuya ultimately ignored it. "How dare you bring your evil into this holy place! In the name of all the gods, I won't allow you to remain here!" Sakuya's tone carried with it a fervor she hadn't shown before, her anger peaking at this atrocious sin.

And so the battle got under way as Neo faced off in the rematch he had been waiting for against Malice. The last time Neo faced him, he was in a prison and the damage points from the cardfight were very real.. this was no different. With each of them exchanging blows, Neo had the first chance to Legion and give Malice some heavy damage. Neo rode Shotgun Blow Dragon and Legioned it with Risei to not only retire most of Malice's forces but gain a critcal. While it was blocked, Neo was still able to deal out damage..

But then..

It was Malice turn.. And he Superior Rode Sin Buster and legioned with Uru buster.. and at that moment Neo remembered the pain he went through the last time they fought but something was different.. It was his true form and Malice's true power and Neo was all but ready. But...

"Ahhhhhhhh" Neo screamed in pain as he took the Vanguards attack

After surviving the legion attack, Neo's counterattack couldnt do much as Malice guarded it but was at 5 damage.

"Just one point to go.." Neo thought

But Neo was slowly starting to run out of energy so he tried to finish this fast. Malice's final strike from his legion was blocked by Neo's Perfect Guard but the 1 damage Neo took that turn was almost too much to bear. He had one chance, a chance to help everyone and help make things right. So he stood up and Rode Brawler, Big bang Knuckle Dragon and legioned with Slash Dragon! Neo's strike hit the hole front row and dealed the 6th damage. But Malice was not finished.. only hurt. As for Neo:

I did it.. Yukino.. Seifer.. Darren.... Tsubasa... Im sorry..

"Neo then leaned against the wall and passed out after the battle..

From far away, Mirai now as the reawakened Seed Noel watches fighting from a distance. Soon... soon that power will return to its rightful owner.... Her hand was shaking. Maybe out of excitement? Such a feeling was once more foreign to her, but the Seed knew that parts of her power will soon return to where they belong. That was when her got a sadistic smile and kept watching in amusement.

Despite the struggles against this form of Malice, the resistance seemed to be doing better each time and was holding strong against his onslaught. Once more, it was time for the Fool to step up.

Satoshi stepped up calmly, marked hand forming a table as per what he tended to do these days to fight in this state of his. "I remember fighting your former self, Darren. A boy with a dream to go further and further. How off the path this self has gone..." He shook his head. "It'll all be over soon. We're here for you." With a gleam of gold, he sat his starter on the center circle.

They all stepped up, one after the other. So many of them willing to fight. If Darren were awake to see it, he would be touched. Friends and strangers alike banding together to stop this evil. Its just what he could have wanted, and Malice was enjoying the chance to test his new body and power.

Neo was the first to step in. Of course he would be. His passion and might were in top form as well. Malice hadn't changed much from the previous match they had as he was still adjusting to his new power. His Metalborg Black Boy was ineffective. His current form and power weren't enough to completely stop the onslaught, but he also noticed he felt no pain despite the damage. Neo said he would show him a power that could protect his friends. Against what Malice was before today, it would have been enough. Today it was not and Neo fell, but not before doing quite a bit of damage, or so it appeared.

Sakuya came next, the priestess who hated the evil he brought to the Shrine. As one could expect, her deck used a Goddess, Tsukuyomi. Malice was able to bring out much more of his power at this point, so much that he held off a Legion of Izanami and Tsukuyomi combined. It was a difficult battle and in the end neither reached 6 damage. It ended by decking out, but even then, she was strong enough to hold her manifested units long enough to inflict a 3 critical attack's worth of damage and forcing him to heal trigger. It was quite the test, and told him what adjustments to make to his power.

With these adjustments in toe, his next opponent was Sear, formerly known as Glensios. Darren had avoided that fight in order to prevent the Seed from activating too soon. It was all for naught as it was triggered anyway thanks to the plan of the Broken Sword. The battle itself was interesting to say the least. Malice made sure there were not many units to lock, limiting his calls even at the cost of his own abilities. As a result, Sera's units were never able to Lock more than a single unit one time in the entire match. Malice reached 6 damage in that fight, a sign that Sera didn't need Locks to show his power. Still, he had the power of Lock as well, Locks that were binding Ezel, Daikaiser, and Darren to the Seed as well as to Darren's Heart. To destroy one would be to destroy them all. Sera's power could not reach.

The last to fight so far was Satoshi. Satoshi had fought Darren before. It felt like a lifetime ago, in a sense it was. Darren lost that fight to a clan he hadn't seen before. Satoshi was using that same clan, only with power similar to what Sin Buster had before becoming a Seeded Unit. It was a close battle to say the least. Satoshi and his divine units being ones that could actually make him feel the impact. Was this because of his former Reverse power? Or was it the power of his units? Whatever it was, it was narrowly able to inflict the final damage when a Quintet Wall led to the final soul needed to preform CEO Yggdrasil's skill.

Even with all of this damage, all of this punishment. Malice was not phased. This body of his was simply amazing. The power of two Seeds really did make him indestructible. Coupled with his original he had more power than any Seed before him. It really did emulate the might of the Deletors. If he wanted, he could probably cause the same level of destruction as the Reapers. He would be sure to confirm this fact later. For now there were only a few left. The ones that had already fought were battered and weary. They were no challenge now. He looked at Yukino with a grin and said, "Isn't this the part where you're suppose to stab me in the back and kill me? Or do I have to kill one of them first? I'd think it would be him."

As he spoke, he pointed to Aeden. He could sense a reincarnated Seed and Aeden was all too familiar. His power was the same as something inside of him. It was unmistakable, but he had no reason to say it aloud. Let her discover it on his own rather than interfere with a bent reality.

Aedan didn't respond negatively to the rushed thank you, rather... he was fine with it. They were in the middle of a battle. One by one, his allies fought, the entire time... his head roaring with static sounds, flashes. He was getting... Angry? Why?

'Seyer.'

At some point Aedan heard the name and his head nearly split open from the pressure. Holding his forehead, he inadvertently covered his eyes... Which had now shifted completely to a gold color. Noticing the pain and changes his Vanguard was going through, Ezel stepped back to his side, placing a hand on his shoulder and smiling.

"My Vanguard, everything will be fine. Try to relax." It helped, a little. Some of the pain went away at Ezel's words but... Now, with the spotlight on him, he figured he should step up.

"You know, normally I'd be against this type of thing. But you're really starting to make my blood boil. And not in the fun way. Fine, you want to take me on? Then let's go." looking up, Aedan's eyes glowed with a bright determination.

Things were a bit of an issue concerning those not fighting Malice. By that, it means several Reaper Drones had finally arrived to truly screw with the Resistance. Solis, Kachidoki, Fuki, a man in a jersey who kept screaming something about football that transcends and touchdowns reality. Locks, deletes, and units flying EVERYWHERE ensued within the corroding domain of Shibuya's Shrine. Thing Saver and Dragonic Overlord the Great met - Blaster Blade and Overlord met. Solis led the forces with Fuki supporting him, beginning to push the heroes into a corner. Even worse, that corner was toward Malice.

This needed to end.

Yukino had an idea involving Malice's words. "Stab me in the back". ... Darren, Ezel, and Daikaiser were in there somewhere. Fighting Malice externally...

Exculpate decided to make a gamble.

The Chosen Sword threw Blaster Blade like a curved boomerang. Only, she wasn't expecting it to return. She was expecting it to stab Malice in the back.

Xat quickly arrived at the battle and saw yukino. "Yukino!" Xat yelled and quickly ran over to her as she saw the blade get thrown, she knew it was not enough, she reached yukino's side and looked at her. "I have a plan but it involves going inside that thing." SHe told yukino as her spirit animel appered before everyone along with it Shirayuki who was using the spirit animal.

Carlos was about to fall unconscious, bot he wasn't going to allow himself to do it. All he was thinking was about reaching the girl and stop the fight between her and Hikari. There was absolutely no way that someone so pretty was a bad person. But suddenly, the whole image that the young man had about that girl went to hell.

A lot of people came out of nowhere. Among them were Kachidoki and his two friends that helped him at the last Reaper attack. When the girl quickly went to their side, everything became clear for him. "This can't be... She's with the Reapers...". Then, when the attackers proceeded to summon Units, he noticed how they were being slowly pushed to the side of Lord Wickedness. "This is just perfect...".

"Appear! Recklessness Dragon!" He said, activating his bangle. He then rode the blue Thunder Dragon and tried to get where Kachidoki was. "Kachidoki! What the hell are you doing!? Stop!" He tried to appeal to his human side. "This won't get us anywhere!".

Malice saw the aura of Ezel's Partner blaze. It was powerful, power that rivaled his own. Why? How could a power of one unit match the might of three Seeds? It had to be a trick. He couldn't trust himself. He would know when his fight ended with himself victorious. Somehow he knew he could not hold back.

Blow for blow the battle raged. Early guarding and low damage. Turn after turn it was like a contest to see who could hit who. It was a battle that none would expect to see. A fight that could not be replicated. And Malice could feel himself getting corners. Ezel's power should not exist in this world. He thought he saw to that, but here he was, facing something that.... something that could undo his locks.

Aeden was able to keep his damage low, but Malice was able to do the same. Blow for blow, they were evenly matched in every way. Even when Malice finally unleashed the final power of Sin Buster and Uru Buster. She skill inherited form Mithril Ezel. He called another Sin Buster and its power grew. Even then, Aeden barely took damage.

Aeden's Garmore and Ezel broke through. They hit him for critical damage, but Malice was able to heal both blows. He hit with his rear, and another heal. A move later, Valen Grader retrieved Sin Buster and a Legion returned heals. This battle was one that could not be measured. Power like this actually did surpass that of the Reapers. Both participants were growing battered and beaten, even Malice who until now seemed invincible. This was what he thought he had avoided when Seifer went to Harbinger's side. Damn that Time Dragon for bringing another to fight as well.

Both fighters literally pulled all of the stops. Each unit, every skill. Powers that should not exist in this and any world, they took each other on. Malice was on edge. He knew he was in more danger than ever before. He had to end it. He needed to use Sin Buster to finish the match. He threw literally everything he had at Aeden. All of his hand gone. When his blade struck, there was no critical trigger. Aeden was able to survive even that. Even after healing, Malice knew he had little left to fight with.

With what little he had left, he placed it on the field. Once more he attacked, but a Quintet Wall ensured that Aedan survived, if only barely. They both were running on nothing, but Aeden was able to get back his field, and Malice only had Grade 3 units in hand. He was struck, a blade to Sin Buster caused Malice to cough up blood. He had been more injured than ever before. That was when Blaster Blade hit. Yukino's sword struck him and the combined impact of her power and his caused Darren, Ezel, and Daikaiser to all open their eyes. The locks had been loosened to the point that they were conscious again, but they were not removed, and Malice was too weak to do anything about them. Soon was the point that they could be free.

"...D...Damnit... DAMNIT!! This can't be happening! I will solidify this form and be complete!!" The eyes of Malice then seemed to go blank. He had went into the mind of Darren to reform the lock and regain control. This was the one chance anyone had of ending this without Malice dying, or even by killing him.

The fight began, with Aedan's entire being seeming to glow with light. He was going to fight, as hard as he possibly could to end this. The static was still there, his head hurting. That wouldn't stop him. The Incandescent Knights would shine! This battle of... One could only possibly describe it as almost gods... Raged for a while, as both dealt blows that were disregarded, or blocked entirely. Why was Aedan fighting so hard? What made him decide to fight so hard to help these people? Wasn't he far out of his league?

This fight made it clear and simple what he was to those who knew, even if it wasn't said outright. The aura and power radiating from both fighters... Was almost suffocating. Even with the power of the three Seeds, Aedan fought... A contest of wills, even going so far as to use one of the Seed's powers to his advantage, clearing away his own field to fuel his own power.

At the end, as both fighters were exhausted... panting and bleeding, Aedan drew, leaning only two cards in his deck. This was it, he had to win it here. Summoning forth the remainder of his strength, he called upon Garmore and Ezel's powers once more, calling forth the spirit of a warrior who has fought against countless odds with unwavering courage. Beside this warrior, the Incandescent troops who still stood, all attacked together to end Sin Buster... And this fight.

As the damage was dealt, Aedan staggered, a grin on his face as he fell forward... Ezel managing to catch the bleeding red head before he hit the ground, staring at Malice. They'd managed to win somehow, now it was up to their leader to finish things... Ezel quietly nodded to Yukino, moving to set Aedan's injured body to the side.

"My apologies, Carlos-dono, but this must be done!" Kachidoki shouted.

Yukino, in the middle of the chaos, noticed Xat arrive. Yes, good, she needed to be here. The war general slid and flipped through and over the catastrophic battlefield, grabbing the arriving girl by her hand. "I know!" The Chosen Sword responded to Xat's idea, pulling her on and rushing toward Malice from the side as the white-hot battle between Aedan and Malice pressed on wildly, causing sparks to fly and explode. These holy grounds were being torn apart by the war that broke out in it. Avoiding locks from Fuki in the distance, running as fast as her legs could carry, Exculpate began rushing behind Malice with the girl as the final damage was dealt and Ahmes' sword struck true in tandem with Blaster Blade Spirit's final attack.

"Raaaaah!!" Taking a leap after nodding to Ezel, she grabbed onto the sword stuck in the monstrous darkness, and the power of light transported them off of the battlefield.

Into the space of Malice - Darren's mind.

Xat quickly ran and jumped just as the sword stuck and using her spirit wolf guided both her, and yukino into Darren's. Once there they saw the place were malice and Darren were residing. "We need to bring Darren to the front, because that will weaken Malice to the point were we can
remove him from Darren's mind, body and heart." She said to yukino

Within the darkness of Darren's mind, there was little there. It was all shrouded by the Seed's power. One would think this wasn't Darren' mind at all. It was devoid of the hope and caring he was usually known for.

When the two reached Malice and Darren, Malice was still in his empowered form. His hand sent out shots and blasts of power out at the three of them, one by one to try and keep them in line. Darren glared and said, "Do that all you want, you'll have to kill me before I let you do what you want anymore!" Malice grinned and said, "That was what I had in mind, yes... Now be a good boy and face oblivion with dignity."

Ezel and Daikaiser were still being drained by the chains, even with the locks removed. Somehow Darren, who was also being drained, had the will to resist. Perhaps it was the light and power sent into the body from the last battle. Perhaps that was his will. It was hard to say now.

Malice blinked as he sensed something. He felt the energy of Xateramusa's Spirit Animal and the energy of the Chosen Sword. He turned to them with a grin and said, "Of course you two would follow me here. I wouldn't suppose you would be willing to leave if I told you I was cleaning?" He didn't need an answer. There was only one way to force them out with his weakened power. Through a cardfight. A table formed in between them as he said, "Let's end this quickly. Its filthy in here and I must clean it before I meet with the Reaper Queen."

What he wasn't trying to let on was how weakened he was. With Ezel awake and the power from before doing so much damage to him, Uru Buster had lost its Seeded Skill and returned to normal. Sin Buster still had his, to that would have to be enough for now. His power was leaking out and he could feel someone grasping for it. He couldn't disappear like this. He would fight with all he had.

One way or another, this was where it all ends.

Two lights entered the bottomless pit of despair that drowned the world of Darren's mind: Yukino and Xat. No matter what, Exculpate would right the past and restore hope to this sanctuary - by killing the parasite that infests it.
