Espoir Mansion

Tsubasa's first destination of choice was the Espoir Mansion, he needed to find Yukino to ask about Neu and any way that he could reach her in the last area she was spotted, that being New York, at a faster rate. He was not fully aware about Neu's situation, giving him a reason to be worried but despite all that he also wanted to make sure that Yukino was feeling okay after the strenuous night when the dimension hoppers arrived. He was welcomed at the door by the servants and escorted to where she was, upon entry. He passed by his friend Seifer as well to whom he gave a light wave and smile before continuing his path.

"May I come in?" he said, knocking on the door.

"Just a moment, sir." A butler bowed to Tsubasa, and told a maid to inform the mistress of his presence.

"... I can lean on people, huh."

Yugure had trouble believing that honestly, thinking more about what Seifer said as he left. Suddenly, an employee came in to tell that she had another guest. It was Gold Paladin's vanguard. "Let him in and bring him here", was the order that was given. An exhausted sigh, still lost in possible ideas. The woman needed to check her phone later, as she hasn't been looking at reports from HQ as much as she should. Maybe she should take everyone's advice and actually sleep?

Nah, no way, sleep doesn't win wars.

Entering the female's room, Tsubasa gave a light wave as he took a seat in front of the lady. He was rather embarrassed that he came in on such short notice but his situation asked for it.

"Sorry to drop by all of a sudden but I need to ask you something." he said, taking a deep breath as he began to speak.

He did not want to drag anything out so he chose to get straight to the point.

"..Do you know what happened to Neu?" he asked.

"I don't keep track of that woman's movements", Yugure responded. The thought of Neu usually left a horrible aftertaste, so the Chosen Sword never really acknowledged her existence if she could help it. "Let me ask Ezel though. He learned Unlock from the Messiah, so he'd have some idea."

"Yeah, about that..." Ezel's voice rang out within both of their minds.

"Yes... about it."

"I... haven't seen her since I came back to you guys actually. Last I was with her was New York."

"Are you telling me we have a missing Messiah on our hands?!" Alfred shouted, standing up from his throne. Ahmes looked just as panicked as His Majesty did.

Hearing Ezel's statement made Tsubasa's heart drop for a moment, simply because of the implications that his statements mean't. Tsubasa did not want to believe the vision that Neon Messiah showed him but at this point it was somewhat undeniable...

"...I need to confess something..." he said, revealing the Neon Messiah card.

He did not know how Yukino would react to the card being revealed but he had to use it for the sake of explanation.

"This morning I stared into this card and thought about Neu, I was so worried about her and whatever happened to her...this card...it showed me an image...sort of like a vision of a place almost void of somewhere in New York, I know it because I saw the hospital that Neu was taken to in New York..I know it sounds ridiculous but.." he paused for a second, trying to come up with a proper way to make his ridiculous request.

"..Do you know of a fast way to get to New York?" he asked, the meaning all to obvious of what he plans to do.

Yugure honestly saw this coming, but not the Neon Messiah card. The Chosen Sword had a mountain of things to say about that card and Neu, but refrained, as they weren't exactly nice. Regardless, of course Tsubasa would want to head to New York. "Charting a Private Jet of the Espoirs would be the fastest way I know of" she stated, giving an honest gateway for the man to go find his friend. "A void in New York... you want to investigate."

They couldn't exactly spare hands and effort to go check out New York in the middle of the time travelers and Link Joker still causing great suffering in every direction. At the same time, if it was Haruka who vanished in the States, she wouldn't care, and would've left to go find him immediately. The war would've been put second.

Tsubasa was doing that.

Tsubasa could understand by Yukino's choice of words that she was rather displeased by his choice to go to New York, as well as mentioning Neu in general. Unfortunately he could not blame her, there was a time when Neu tormented her beyond belief.

"You don't have to worry about this situation that much, i'll deal with it quickly just as long as the jet is ready to take me both ways heh." he said, trying to crack a smile, he did not want to stress her anymore than she already was.

Despite his attempt at humor he still could not hide his expression of concern for the war, for Yukino and for Neu all at once.

"....Please be safe Neu..." he thought, as he held the Neon Messiah card and put into his deckbox.

"I'll go with you to New York, to ensure you come back."

Yugure didn't want to leave anyone to their own devices if they could help it. Especially Tsubasa, considering what was stressing him out. Her trained eyes and instinct knew he was suffering from not knowing where Neu was, along with the idea of leaving the war to check. Still, if they didn't band together, even though the Chosen Sword hated that woman, how were they any better than the Star-vaders?

"You can stay in the guest room tonight if needed. I'll get a jet ready for tomorrow morning."

Daybreak's bell rang through the sky, as Tsubasa rose from bed and put on his jacket and prepared his deckboxes, he could not get enough sleep last night because of the situation at hand, every minute wasted is a minute where Neu can be helped or supported in New York. Also from a war standpoint every minute wasted is a chance for the Reverse to grow all over again after the efforts that were done in New York already.

"..Wait for me, I promise I will help you, I will make sure that you're safe no matter what...I made a promise to stay by your side...today I will fulfill it." he said, determination filling his eyes as he took a chance to look though his deck one more time.

When Yukino wakes up there will be no time for hesitation, this situation needs to be dealt with quickly before more lives are put in danger in either areas.

"...I wish I did not have to take Yukino with me but...I can't refuse help from the best..plus it is her jet I suppose...-shakes head- in any case I won't get her in danger that is a must...even if I have to rely on you..." he thought, as he continued to look through his cards.

A knock at the boy's door. "Master Tsubasa?" A servant called. "I need to escort you to the jet..."

Being rich had its perks. By perks, it meant having a gigantic range of property to the point where you have enough open land for a plane to land without a proper airport. Yugure helped direct it down, doing her part. "I'm going to hold off on checking reports until I get back, I need to focus", the soldier announced to the staff. They might be a little headless for a day without her, but they should be fine.

She hasn't checked in on HQ and doesn't plan to before returning. Maybe it was her way of wanting to relax. More than likely it was her way of not becoming completely overtaxed from work.

Tsubasa was led out of the guest room all the way to the plane sight at the mansion, he was clearly impressed by how Yukino brought a jet all the way to her mansion in the matter of a night. Nevertheless, he was mostly fixated on his goal and making sure to not suffer any casualties along the way, if not for Yukino he would not be where he is now anyway.

"Morning, thanks again for this Yukino.." he said, smiling as he stood in front of the lady.

"Shall we?" he asked, gesturing to the plane.

It took a few moments to register in his mind that he had not been on a plane (let alone a jet) in so long, not that it bothered him but it was surreal.

The jet moving at ridiculous speeds that rival driver-san's level of speeding landing in one of the Espoir yards. "I'm fine, really!" Yugure protested as pilots and other servants began literally carrying her out of the plane. They were more than sick of her trying to be tough, so matters were taken into their hands. A number of others quickly came in for Tsubasa as well, but much more leniently. They respected his personal space and showed great concern for his well being. "Sir, please come with us for your wounds as well."

Though the man seemed to be healed from whatever miraculous power overcome him in New York, the trained eyes of the Espoir army could see physical strain from within. They knew he wasn't in top shape after what must've occurred in New York. These two both needed medical attention.

"Put me down!" The Chosen Sword shouted.

Watching the scene unfold in front of him Tsubasa, began laughing slightly, but it was visible from his expression, one could argue that he was teasing Yukino but in reality he was just relieved like when a heavy burden or worry is lifted from your shoulder and you feel more free and satisfied.

"..Really I'm fine no need to worry yourselves...you should tend to Yukino more please.." he said, motioning for the servants to help their master before anything.

Some of the servants were stubborn in their desire to help but most of them tended to Yukino, as a result Tsubasa saw this chance to make his getaway he had to make sure that hell had not broken loose while they were gone.

"..Thank you for everything Yukino!" he said, waving to her from afar, as the servants turned in astonishment by his quick escape." Take care of her guys, make sure she feels better!" he said, as he darted out of the area, making his way to the Training Center.

"She won't be alone...we will survive..no we will win..no time to rest for me, I need to make sure everyone is okay...please get enough rest Yukino...." he thought as he continued running.

"I said put me down! Tsubasa, help me! Wait, where is he going?! And let go of my phone, damn it!"

Nope.

Their queen is lying her pretty little butt right the hell down for about an hour at least. Not after she checks reports. Not after she checks in with father. Not after she obliterates evil in the name of justice. No. Right now. "Raaaaah!!" Yugure shouted, but it was to no avail. At the very least, they allowed her request to stay in her work room instead of her bed room. There was a sleeping bag in there for... reasons. The burly butlers carried her in, the maids put her deck cases up on the wall, and they took the keys to the toolboxes and shelves out with them.

"Bloody hell..." The soldier cursed, sitting up in the sleeping bag. "Hey, someone!" She screamed into the mental lobby where paladins resided. "Give me a report on Cray!"

Silence.

"Anyone?!"

Nope.

"Ugh..." Yugure groaned. Her jacket was hung up on the wall, and she still couldn't relax with it off. Shoes were already gone, so she simply proceeded to loosen up her shirt. The tie was removed and buttons were undone. While everyone thought it nice she gets some rest for once, the workaholic in her sure didn't agree. Hissing and snarling, the Chosen Sword finally caved in after awhile. She finally lied down and drifted into slumber.

The time was now.

The time for everything to come together, meet at one point, then march.

Hana's power of "Star Travel", being able to send her astral body on Cray without synchronizing it with another unit... For some reason, this ability temporarily invoked itself into the older sister. A will or message of sorts, guiding the woman to where she needed to be: Planet Cray. Opening her eyes, the commander found herself in front of the Sanctuary's enormous castle. Outside was legions upon squads upon armies... Every clan of the nation was preparing to fight. "How am I...?" Looking down at her hands, the Chosen Sword questioned how she was here in astral form. It was impossible for her, she had to align herself with Ahmes or Yunos to get here without leaving Earth. Still, everyone saw her, and greeted her.

"We need to talk", Salome began for the Jewel Knight brigade as a whole. "It is thanks to the efforts of Seifer that my precious Noel and Ashlei are back in arm's reach, even if they're struggling. They're still here with us and alive... And I thank you, Gancelot, and others for helping me find courage and resolve within my heart. I had been fearful of what would transpire as this war went on, and it hindered me... Yet, after fighting alongside everyone in earnest, if only to get back what was taken... I found heart. I was able to advance because of this.

We all were able to move forward. We can help Noel like we desired to from the beginning. We can make a significant effort in aiding all in thwarting the invasion... We can do something.

Thank you, Chosen Sword."

"Salome... I..."

The elf woman shook her head.

"Please, do not say anything in response. We can sit down and have a more relaxing conversation when this is over."

The Jewel Knights all walked past the woman, leaving for the battlefield. Looking up, Yugure saw one of Link Joker's "Gates" that left a horrible feeling in the pit of her stomach. Star-vaders were beginning their next wave. This was almost too much on top of G Units rampaging.

"Vanguard", Mordred Phantom called out. Yugure turned, and gave a look of disdain mixed with trying to conceal further emotions. "You've been honest with me for so long now, you don't have to give me that face."

"You..."

"I was quite surprised when Yunos elected for me of all people to lead the Revengers. Considering who I am, why would it be me?" The man inquired, giving genuine confusion.

"I honestly have not a single clue. You've put in the effort to protect the Sanctuary, despite your past, but few people even know of it. It's baffling enough, as even I was surprised."

"But you're still one of the people who vouched for me to stay a paladin."

"... That's because-"

"You don't trust me, and yet, you still opted for me to fight alongside you. You, more than anyone, know what I could do. You know who I am, and you still show faith in me."

"Mordred..."

"Do not say that name. I want you to do me a favor, and call me by my true name." The purple armored knight was enveloped in blackness, unveiling his true form unto the Sanctuary as Seifer and Tsubasa have used before. The girl stared up at the caped dragon that appeared before her. A look of anger, and at the same time, resolution. A quiet roar came form the beast, awaiting his ally to speak.

"... Your name is... Phantom Blaster Dragon."

This man's true identity was revealed to the public. The Dragon of Hell that nearly drowned the holy nation into dark despair. How he ended up a knight and an Abyss Dragon with a heart not rotted by evil, little know. What was undeniable was the fact that this creature was still fighting to protect the land he almost ruined. This Revenger Phantom of amazing charisma that gave earnest respect and devotion to those around him...

"Thank you."

Dragruler Phantom slowly flew by, going toward the central battlefield with the other Revengers. Yunos' shoulder grazed against his vanguard's as a way of silent communication. The swordsman of darkness wasn't the type to be sappy or have conversations of gratitude like the other two just did. This was his way of giving thanks without looking like a "cheesy dope". A smile came across his face, as did one on her's.

"Heeeey." Ezel called, approaching with Gancelot, among other Liberators. "Our turn to say thanks."

"Ezel..."

"I don't blame you for what went down two years ago from our perspective. We Gold Paladins just showed up out of the blue to replace your buddies in blue and black. That wasn't nice for anybody, and just made you uncomfortable."

"But I didn't reject you!"

"I know, but we could tell that your old friends were more important than us, naturally. That's because none of us truly knew each other. Sure, we were all Royals and Shadows, but not even the Shadows knew you that well personally. And Royals didn't have the privilege of seeing a stable you at the time. Even me... I just stuck with you for my duty at first.

But then I learned being friends and putting duty second for comrades was the bigger picture. That's how I started bonding with an emotionally wrecked you.

And I couldn't have figured out something so stupidly obvious if it wasn't for you, and the rest of the Gold Paladins behind me. I couldn't have learned I had a better future thinking this way without Tsubasa. I couldn't have learned what it meant to carry on the hopes and dreams of your loved ones without him either. I also couldn't have discovered how to free my allies from despair without Neu.

I'm glad I made friends instead of war buddies."

"I am too", Gancelot stated. "For the longest time, I faced ridicule because I was a half-elf. I kept trying to fight for the King anyway, in an attempt to ignore it. But everything still hurt... I just followed along the encouraging words of others, trying to feel better. Yet, nobody believed in me when I tried saying stuff like that... because I didn't believe it myself. Not until this war.

I hate to say it, but I'm thankful to the invaders.

They made me stop taking my real friends for granted."

A cocky smirk on Ezel's face, and one of genuine joy on Gancelot's... the two left like the others, patting Yugure on her shoulders. They had a fight to join with Tsubasa.

"We believe in you to find Hana", Zerachiel spoke for the Celestials. In a way, Bermuda Triangle as well. "She held a grudge against you for not being as strong as you could be, but you've shown us that you try to be stronger than that now. I believe, if she could see you now, she would be truly happy with a sister like you again. Even if you became emotionally rigid, and are still struggling... You're still the big sister trying to protect her. The one trying to help guide her. The one trying to save her.

Pacifica feels the same. Please, don't think Hana still hates you any longer."

Angel Feather began to leave, and Nociel spoke some familiar weeb gibberish Hana normally would to create a feeling of nostalgia. Yugure gave a surprised smile, and watched them leave with Genesis and Oracle Think Tank. The woman felt a wave of happiness overcome her. Two years ago, she came to Planet Cray to train as a knight. This moment with everyone showed that, even when faced down by nightmares and Gods, they were all still the treasured family they were supposed to be. The United Sanctuary's name was not for show, as it was truly united.

To nurture, protect, and fight with bonds was the way of every living being here.

"Yugure", Alfred spoke as the last person left. "Ahmes cannot join us, as he is already on the battlefield. I'd still like you to accompany me, so I may go out myself as well." The woman nodded to her king, moving her spectral form toward the castle, following him inside. The Sanctuary's stronghold was... empty. Not a single soul was left inside of the palace. How grand this war was finally sank in.. Every able body that could fight had left to do so. All except... them. They entered the throne room, and His Majesty planted his sword in front of the chair, then clapped. Suddenly, the imperial seat began moving, and light began drawing a square on the open space. It became a door of sorts, opening up with a staircase in sight. The king and queen descended.

The sound of an organ playing similar to the one that was at Hana's "castle" at the park rang throughout... However, the feeling didn't feel as if they were approaching the final boss. No, it felt like something incredible was being birthed. The underground they entered had only one path, leading to an "altar" of sorts with water pouring down from the walls, around the heart of the Sanctuary. There lied a suit of armor that glistened in the sky blue light illuminating these sacred chambers.

"This is the Armor of the Genuine King", Alfred began. "This armor is passed down to Kings of Knights throughout the Sanctuary, since the time of the Grand Sanctuary when this nation and Dragon Empire were in unison. To wear such is to be donning the proof of a Messiah, one that vows to a life of dedication. Dedication to being the very foundation of the Sanctuary." The ruler explained the nature of such holy armaments. To anyone else, it simply looked like very, very bulky armor. However, to others, they could feel a great magnitude of magical light emitting from it. The Meister was in awe, almost finding the sight of it nostalgic. The majestic, black caped suit of grandiose, imperial design felt comforting just to stare at. As if hope was engraved into it.

"This is... what you plan to fight with", Yugure spoke.

"To be honest, I don't feel I've truly earned the right to inherit this from my father: King Ezer. However, I feel that, more than ever, I must inherit it now regardless. I cannot wait for a ceremony, I cannot wait for my pride to accept such... As a warrior who stands to defend his people and the entire world, I have to take it now."

"... That in itself sounds plenty like a Genuine King."

"... Perhaps. However, that will be judged with my actions that come after putting it on."

The woman watched as her leader dropped all the unnecessary garments known as his previous suit of armor. He fit himself into the bulky design, his cape fluttering with the winds of counterattack and belief for a tomorrow beyond the black rings. The next generation of a Genuine King stood before a battle-worn soldier. Yugure immediately gave her respects, bowing down to his imperious majesty. The man of glory walked toward her, offering a hand for her to stand up with.

"Let us ride on, Yukino, Hikari, Yami, Yugure, Meister. To save everything."

The blade-eyed magic blacksmith took his hand.

"My lord... we will restore peace to this land again. Even if it means betting our lives against destiny."

Yugure's very being flashed as Blaster Blade's. This was beyond perfect synchronization with Ahmes. As far as Alfred was concerned, they were close to the same person. That aside, the girl's eyes shined golden, emitting power she never had before. Taking a step back from the ruler, a glowing outline of his armor appeared before the duo. The Meister unleashed all her might, tracing it to duplicated the sacred armaments, creating its card.

Liberator, Monarch Sanctuary Alfred.

Yugure finally awoke after what felt like an eternity, her deck cases having teleported to her location. The true savior king that now stood in the front lines for a future and the abyss dragon that vowed to be the unsoiled darkness of the land had made their places in their respective decks. Equipping the three stacks of cards into cases on her hip, adjusting her top, and donning her jacket... the Chosen Sword walked with these heroes out into the open.

It was time to end this nightmare.

As demanded, the commander rushed home. She was a bit out of breath, sweating, and panting at the front door. Taking a second to get a grasp of some kind of composure, she opened the door. "Where's father?" was asked upon entering. Though, Yugure didn't get any answers. In fact, there weren't many servants here. What was this? ... An ambush lying in wait, plotted by the enemy?! Before the woman's guard was up to its highest security, several butlers and maids got the jump on her! "Wait, no! You cowards!" Yugure hissed, but it was futile. They stole away her jacket, and began carrying her off again. The plan was simple: remove the soldier's uniform and replace it with something more... relaxing. More chill, if you will.

The Chosen Sword's protests fell on deaf ears as the team began undressing her by force. Then, she was outfitted with a short, long sleeved yellow dress similar to the dress shirt she had as the commander. A much more casual choice. Next, a white cape similar to her jacket was forced on, tied up with a yellow ribbon. Giving her white boots like her old yellow ones, and replacing her hairbow with one that was exactly the same, the wardrobe makeover was complete.

Needless to say, she felt ridiculous and unguarded as if having no armor - as if naked almost.

"You all won't get away with this! I, humanity's guardian, swear to righteous smiting in your futures!"

And nobody cared for her dramatics.

"Ugh..." The woman groaned.

....

Sera explained as much of the situation as he possibly could to Haruka without using terms that would require only MORE explaining.

Long story short, Glendios was destroyed by the evolved Tsubasa as Percival-

Haruka had to cry for at least twenty minutes about that, cursing Sera and his existence. They still aren't on good terms as they approach the manor, either.

But as the story continues, Sera, the inner energy, was released and dispersed. He was going to be sucked into the rift and brought back to the original timeline he came from... But a change of heart was in place. He wanted to experience humanity.

Why?

Neither Haruka, nor Sera can provide a good explanation on that.

"I-...Tsubasa... Goddamn. I never expected him to get involved like that..."

"I can't say sorry because this was in fact our plan from the start. Should've expected casualties."

"Don't talk like that..."

They approached the manor doors, butlers and maids greeting Haruka with smiles and Sera with estranged looks. They gestured him into the manor as if he was naturally a resident of the place, considering his standing with one of the actual residents.

"Okay... Sera. You must, I repeat, you must not tell Yukino who you are."

"Not like I want to..."

"Stop being a tsundere and listen closely. She might actually kill you. You're a human now, get me? Flesh, blood, vital organs that can and will be removed if you screw up. So don't."

Sera nodded, wiping his eyes of sleepiness.

"Alright..."

They entered in the front door of the manor. Haruka knocked lightly on the right side wall. Four times. This was his little entering signal; something he had done every time since he came to this house the first time. Not counting the time he carried Satoshi in here... that required both hands.

The nostalgia and memories of the house continue to make Haruka feel a semblance of purity and happiness. Anyways, onto business.

Upon entering the kitchen area, Haruka seated Sera and began his ultimate task; brewing the best pot of Royal brew coffee ever made in the world. This was indeed a challenge even titans of the coffee industry fail to accomplish. His hands got to work after plucking off the top button of the Henley, pulling up his sleeves and pulling the loose strands of his hair into clips or a ponytail. His hair was finally starting to get long again.

The scent of coffee began to spread, like a virus, from the kitchen, to the dining room, and soon into the halls and eventually into the bedrooms and bathrooms across the house. He used Butler-san's teachings to the best of his abilities.

"You bastards even took away all my spare uniforms and jackets?! All you people left of my military garbs were the boots!" Yugure screamed from her room rather angrily. Whatever kind of joke this was, she was unaware of how it was funny. This was an insult, and the paladins of the sanctuary were even laughing. This must've been a nice relief after losing Tsubasa and Ezel leaving with Darren. Everyone gets to laugh at her again! Under her breath, she cursed Marron and Akane and Gordon and everyone who would and probably is laughing.

Then knocks at the front door.

"Alright, if you vile curs aren't going to respond to me, at least get the damn door!"

After a few moments, she heard it close.

Traitorous villains.

Twice now she's been ambushed in her own home! First was after returning from New York, and now a call from Father, and he wasn't even in sight?! With amazing strength, the Chosen Sword slammed her fist into the wall. Another roar of aggravation... this was ridiculous. It was interesting how she could be a brat... over people not letting her be a workaholic. Pulling out some hair that almost seemed grey with how she worked to near-death constantly, the commander finally gave up. Fine, the Espoir servants and Father Espoir win. She'll... she gagged... relax.

"Ugh..."

Yugure made her way down the stairs and there was the smell of caffeine in the air. Four knocks at the door... so it must've been Haruka-

"Oh no..." The woman remembered her promise in detail. She wanted to save Haruka, and have a taste of his "amazing" coffee. The problem is she'd probably never share that opinion, as she hated it. Not his in particular, the scent and taste of it was just nauseating. ... And now she had to follow up on her word and down an entire mug.

Yugure began sweating nervously, not even remotely ready for this.

"H-Haruka...?" Was tentatively, girlishly called, peaking into the kitchen.

It was late at night so it isn't like anybody would be having breakfast at this time of night but at least he could get one-half of his promise fulfilled tonight. Haruka lifted the pot, pouring its contents into three mugs.

One for himself, of course... he might just take the remainder of the pot actually.

One for Yukino. He was making this mostly for her anyways. She said she'd at least try it. He wouldn't be ridiculously offended if she wasn't a fan of it, but he was more than excited to see the reaction she gets from even a sip of this. Its black coffee, but its super caffeinated. This thing is so bitter, the knockback is worse than firing a Desert Eagle for the first time.

One for Sera. This smug little bastard gets a half-cup... meh.

Then, he heard her. The voice of who he assumed to be his militaristic angel in waiting-

"Y-Yukino...."

He nearly dropped the damn pot on his foot. She was gorgeous. A whole new ordeal of garments, blessed white and yellows that made her look like a heavenly being. Actually an angel. Sera snickered slightly, elbow bumping Haruka. It didn't break the trance at first.

"Wow...."

He blinked, simply trying to figure out if he was still in that horrible nightmare a while back. Was he just dreaming? No way...

"You look-look uhm..." He started coughing, choking even a little. He slammed his fist on the counter a little as Sera sarcastically patted him on the back to get himself together.

"You look great!" He choked out. He was so stunned and amazed he could barely get the words out of his throat. He shook his head, finally cleared his throat, and presented Yukino with her own mug of Haruka-Butler-san's Royal Caffeine Monster Supreme Grandoise. It was for Haruka's double all-nighters when working long shifts or doing school work. This thing kills brain cells at rapid speed if you drink too much, though.

"Ready?" Haruka smiled, waving her over to her own mug as he handed Sera his and picked up his own.

"By the way, this a friend of mine."

"Hi, I'm-"

Haruka glared.

"Drake. From Straight Harm."

Haruka glared immensely harder.

Appearing at the front gates, Seyer gave a heavy sigh. This was going to be, really really rough. He was carrying a dead body, and was at the home of one of their so called enemies. He wouldn't be surprised if police showed up but, that's not the issue. He'd be able to get away just fine. In any case, the male used his arm to hit the button to notify the residents that someone was at the front gate, waiting for attention. What Seyer didn't realize was that there were more than just the person who he wanted to talk to inside. This would probably get really awkward, really fast. It didn't help that staff might recognize him as Seifer.

Dammit, Haruka is here. While the girl was glad to see him, she was kind of dreading this coffee promise. He was even gawking at her new angelic attire, jaw metaphorically dropping as he nearly choked. A nervous chuckle, walking in while his... unknown friend here did a very poor job and helping him clear his throat. A little bit of sweat... concern for his health and her own coming up grew. The Chosen Sword gulped as her sweetheart got himself together, and clearly had every intention to make her see this through. Even though she didn't want to... it was a promise she made to him. It was a special oath between her and her beloved, and the commander was not going back on her word.

... Wow she wished she was a bit of a scumbag after smelling it up close.

How could people like this stuff?!

"N-Nice to meet you, Drake..." Yugure responded. While his name and origin sounded suspicious, she was too busy focusing on the impending doom that is the bitter hell of coffee. Visibly trembling, already feeling her stomach churn in disagreement, practically wanting to bend over, the mug of hot, steaming brew came to the Chosen Sword's hands. This was a challenge far beyond the Star-vaders and Reapers. This was life or death. Panic took over, geysers of lava shot upward, the earth split in twine, the heavens wept in despair.

Yugure took a sip.

Instantly regretted every moment of her life.

It was... so... bitter. It could've killed even her, the Chosen Sword with the inborn powers of the Meister - also known as Exculpate the Blaster, with this single sip. Were... were humans even made to be handle such ferocious power? The woman's face contorted, cringing, eye twitching, and lips receding. When the punch of it lingered away after a few moments, audible gagging occurred. Unfortunately, she truly just didn't have the stomach for it.

"I-It's... g-good..." The trembling lass complimented her lover's brew, ready to puke. It wasn't his fault, she just had to get used to it. Another sip, another gag. "A-Aaah..."

Meanwhile, staff outside noticed Seifer in new clothing. That was odd... the guards were pretty sure he was still in a coma. The servants allowed the man through the front gate to the front door, and the soldiers left to make a call to HQ. A maid came in on the two lovers, not truly wishing to interrupt, but... "Milady, you have a visitor."

"R-Right... A minute..."

Yugure covered her mouth, looking a bit green.

Haruka downed the mug in only a few swift gulps, nearly chugging the poor thing. Sera did so in slower, but similar fashion. No sweat. They drank this stuff for long-night discussions after all.

However.

Yukino was facing what seemed to be the most difficult challenge in her life, physically almost keeling over the fact she would have to drink Haruka's coffee. She seemed to dread even the smell of its aroma. Haruka scratched his forehead, watching her sip

repeat.

He at first was a little amused by her reaction, the inability to handle the taste... Then he was slightly upset at two things that happened at about the same time. She really, reaaaally didn't like it. Her audible and visible gagging was proof of that. Okay. If you don't like, at least say it straight so he doesn't misunderstand.

But Haruka got the message rather quickly. No more coffee for Yukino, ever again.

Sera laughed at her slightly.

Then, Haruka and Yukino received word somebody was here to see her. While it wasn't the same circumstances... Haruka had war flashbacks relating to his first date with his beloved and Cero Kirguis' mortal invasion of their lovely dinner. They even had a Cardfight on the dinner table, making Haruka nearly have a hissyfit making him hold the meals while they finished whatever deal they had to settle.

He pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration.

"I'll be upstairs with,... Drake. Come find us when the guest is gone, I guess."

That came out slightly more caustic than he imagined it would, even Sera noticed it and flicked Haruka on the ear giving a "what are you doing!" expression. That was a sour move on Haruka's end, in all honesty. He slipped passed his beloved, placing a small kiss on her head. She looked sickly but was regaining composure. Disappearing from the kitchen with Sera altogether, they headed for the bedroom that they stayed in together for the first time. A guest bedroom.

The Triad HQ, as it was originally. Now, its Haruka's home away from home. Same goes for the medical cell in the Cardfight Training Area.

Well that was easy... And surprising. He was still carrying a dead body but, well by all rights it probably just looked like someone sleeping from a distance. Seyer muttered a thank you politely before proceeding inside. There he'd wait for Yukino, not entirely sure how long she'd be or how much time he had left for this. He was meticulous, morbidly so. And deep down he knew this wouldn't go over well, even less so if he tried to move from the entrance without permission. He was still the enemy. He started to lament all of this, this whole idea. Maybe it would of been easier to just go about and do it instead of talking it over with the resistance's leader? To late to back out now but, at least Ezel showed up again, standing at the male's side. Both had grim looks however, and both looked incredibly tired.

"A-Ah... I'm sorry... Haruka... I-I'd love to try some more tomorrow morning!"

Like hell she did.

Okay, maybe just to get over her sickness of it. She felt like it was one of her duties as his girlfriend to enjoy his coffee. ... He still maybe could've eased up, maybe some sugar and cream... Regardless, she felt really guilty for not really liking it. Another apology was due in the morning over another streaming hot mug of pure death.

Christ, this wounded her pride some. She fought against Reapers that annihilated her timeline, jumped through time, became a Singularity Point, and turned into humanity's resistance commander. Yet, she couldn't handle something as simple as coffee?

"I need a nap..." She groaned. The desire to rest was probably the first she's felt all year though. Maybe she'll sneak in with Haruka after speaking to the guest...

The pride-wounded woman walked out of the kitchen, keeping the cup in hand to take a sip every now and- nope. Took another, didn't taste in the slightest bit better. "Blargh..." She sputtered quietly. Just... keep trying. You'll get it... maybe. Shaking her head slowly to not upset her stomach any further by making herself dizzy... she walked outside.

"It's late, what do you-"

That man from New York!

"Parasite!" The soldier hissed, summoning the Sword of Resolution in hand. A Seed dared to arrive on the doorstep of the enemy?! What could he want, and why was he... carrying someone?

The reaction was as expected. The woman brandished the blade upon seeing him, and the next thing that happened was also in expectation. The Ezel at his side stepped forward, the blades in his wrist gauntlets extending. "Ezel that's enough." the male was stern, and the tone in his voice made the lion visibly flinch, though he complied, stepping back. "I didn't come here to fight you Yukino Espoir. Rather, propose a deal." upon saying that, the male placed Cyan's body down against the wall. The blood and injury became apparent. Stabbed through the heart, obvious death. "I'm sort of glad you showed up when you did. I wasn't sure how much time she had left before disappearing. It's morbid but..." the man turned, staring into the woman's eyes. "This is my proof of the offer as well. ...I'll take care of your problem, the other Seeds. ...I've grown to... Appreciate... This world, I guess you could say. To that end I'll end the lives of the other Seeds. That way..." his eyes narrowed, and while he wasn't intending to come off as threatening, the feeling he gave off changed. He was serious, deadly so. "You and your resistance fighters don't get blood on your hands." it was morbid to even speak about. And the fact that he used a body of someone he murdered as proof just attested to how messed up he really was.

The soldier found herself surprised to see the corpse of a Seed. This one... had Aqua Force, she believes? She didn't know much of the reports beyond this girl being from a timeline of suffering like the man here. The parallel Ezel tried to step up, and while she appeared ready, hesitation would likely present itself. That lion was the image of her best friend. ... There's no way this black sword could be thrust forward with murderous intent. Seyer had Ezel at ease, however, and she listened to the deal proposed.

Leave a Seed to take care of Seeds?

"Is this a joke?" The woman scoffed, almost insulted. Twice now has the enemy taken her for granted. First Nebula Lord, now this man here talks about appreciating this world, and dirtying his own hands for it? "Ridiculous."

These parasites ate away at the prime timeline, sucking away life, and causing time to break apart just by being here. ... However, it was clear by his eyes that this was no jest. No... he seemed almost hellbent on trying such. From how it looked to the Resistance, the Seeds practically rivaled each other on most inches. It wouldn't be an easy fight like humanity nearly was without G Units.

This person's corpse lying on Espoir property was proof that this was no taunt.

"... We don't need you dealing with... our problems..."

The Chosen Sword actually faltered a bit in her words, not wanting to accept help from any adversary. Yet... the power of one of these demigods doing their work?

"... Even if you don't wish for us to dirty our hands... Some of us have been ready to soak them in blood." Yugure spoke mostly of herself. Her bloodthirst from two years ago with simple fights had grandly evolved into lusting for the blood of their enemies. If this man was truly prepared to uphold his word... so was she. She would kill as many of them as necessary just as much as he would.
