Personality:
The opposite of her twin brother Jin Kusanagi. Kind and polite towards others. Loyal and trustworthy to those who she considers family and friends. Despite bearing the title of Beacon of Light, long after the Reaper Invasion, she does not let that get into her head and remains humble and modest. Very dedicated when it comes to working and Cardfighting. Still a shy-type and tends to not speak much unless necessary. Hates conflict and senseless violence. Once her mind is made up, there is nothing that can stop her. Willing to sacrifice her life to keep the world safe and to leave the new generation something to work for.
Biography:
Peace has finally returned in the newly reborn world and Noel is once more reunited with her closest friend Salome. With no more world ending threats, Noel has dedicated these past years in learning how to enhance the cardfighting experience for fighters of all ages. With the new GIRS project being developed and funded by her family, Noel has been placed as head of development. Her technological expertise brought forth new breakthroughs to the current fight system which will soon be released to the public. On her downtime, she spends her days with her friends as well as take part of local tournaments to keep her fighting skills sharp. Noel is simply enjoying life to the fullest along with her faithful Jewel Knight companions. However, her twin brother Jin Kusanagi was chosen as the new president of the family company, Kusanagi Corporation, and has to endure his constant trash talking.

Personality: Despite her family's reputation and in search of an "identity", Noel actually has a very kind heart. Instead of oppressing those who seem weaker than her, Noel prefers to help them so they too can become strong. However, Noel can be stubborn which sometimes gets her into trouble. She also can be a little blunt when it comes to speaking her mind since Noel prefers people to know the truth than sugar coating things. Noel is not one who likes to hold back in cardfights as she finds this disrespectful to her opponent and herself. When put in the spotlight, Noel can become a little shy even though she seems like nothing phases her. She will jump in whenever those she sees close to her are in any form of trouble.
Biography:
SEASON 3 -
Searching for identity has been Noel's lifelong goal. Of course, as the heir to the wealthy Kusanagi family, everyone sees her as nothing more as the next one in line to take charge in the family business. Her accomplishments as an individual are often ignored or are usually assumed that it is because she is from a rich family. "Of course, she is a member of the Kusanagi family afterall" or "That's to be expected from a Kusanagi" are usually the phrases that have been told by everyone which has been slowly making Noel question what will happen the day she doesn't meet the expectations of those who watch her. Noel's intelligence and creativity are often drowned by her own family name, losing her sense of individuality. That was of course, through one fateful day, she met her half-brother Seifer who introduced Noel to the world of Cardfight!! Vanguard. Family names, social status, or money meant nothing in Vanguard. It was the world Noel was looking for, a world where she has her own voice, her own identity as a person that isn't determined by her daily life standards. In said fateful day, Seifer gave Noel her first Vanguard unit: Pure Heart Jewel Knight, Ashlei, a proud knight, though still young, who has become the leader of the most elite troop of the Royal Paladin clan, the Jewel Knights. From that day forward, a glimmer of light started shining through. Now at the age of 18, she arrives at Rijuku as ordered by her family and enter one of the prestigious school's available. However, Noel decides to enter a regular school in order to learn how the "normal" life is and used it as an excuse as to learn how the "world below" works. Her journey as Noel Kusanagi, the Vanguard fighter, begins
- Season 4 Part A:
Her journey to find an identity for herself is now over. After making many friends and defending the world from what almost seemed like the apocalypse via alien invasion, she has become known as the Grandmaster of Jewel Knights. Things however weren't so positive. She had fallen to the negative energy known as the Reverse, one of the main forms of attack of the invaders known as Link Joker. This energy brought on her darkness that made her into a sadistic queen as well as warping her avatar Pure Heart Jewel Knight Ashlei into a Reverse unit. Noel Reversed many fighters and even took over certain sections of the city all on her own and even made the high school she had gone to as her base of operations aka her "Kingdom." The very darkness in her heart, the Kusanagi's true personality, hurt many of her friends. She laughed and enjoyed their suffering. Fortunately, her "reign" was brought to an end by her brother Seifer with the help of the Dragon God, Nouvelle Vauge.
After recovering, she took Ashlei out of her deck as her memories when Reverse came to her and it scared her that she was capable of doing horrible things. Noel secluded herself from everyone, feeling that she may hurt others thus weakening her own power in the process. It was then that she met with a unit of Cray, the Deputy Leader of Jewel Knights, Salome. Together with Salome, they sought strength that can help atone for what she has done and to ask for forgiveness to friends that fled the city after her rampage. As soon as she found new strength was when fighters of different dimensions appeared. One of those fighters, was a being known as Queen Yukino. One of the heroes of the present who became an evil tyrant in an alternate time. It was at this moment that Noel stopped being afraid and brought back Ashlei who was still Reversed but now under control. Following a devastating defeat, Noel trained and trained until she unlocked an ability known as Stride with the help of a special bangle. Using the same ability as Queen Yukino, she then went to face off against the invader's ultimate weapon, Omega Glendios. Even with stride, Noel was defeated and she fled the scene.
Three months later, Noel returns to the city after returning home and train with the man she despises the most, her father. Even though the hatred towards each other is mutual, her father wants her to succeed and become the strongest against anyone else around her
- Season 4 Part B:
Personality:
A young woman with a kind heart. Will do whatever it takes to protect her friends. Hates submitting to someone else, especially if they are of a corrupt nature. After her Reverse status and re-awakening Ashlei "Reverse", her eyes became permanently red and will glow whenever Ashlei "Reverse" hits the field. If pushed beyond the limits of her warmheartedness, she will grow cold and will go after her enemy until they can't fight back or no longer breathe. It will go as far as her wanting to kill which is possibly the remaining Reverse energy still inside her that can cause this. One thing Noel hates is feeling useless and will constantly tackle an obstacle until it has been overcome. Other than that, Noel enjoys being with her friends as it makes her forget the bad memories of home and wants to live a normal life and will do anything to keep the peace as long as it can. Can be very self-conscious at times and underneath her "tough" persona, she is just a fragile girl.
Biography:
With the Reaper invasion among them, Noel has been slowly succumbing to despair. Ever since losing Salome to Delete by one of their initial encounters with a Reaper, she felt as is a piece of her has been ripped apart. There is no one else to blame for Salome's deletion but herself. It is something Noel feels that she needs to carry on her own until she is re-united with who she considers as her closest friend. Despite her feeling of uselessness, Noel has achieved feats no regular person can do. Noel has helped defeat the entity known as Malice that took over her friend Darren. She was even able to go inside his psyche to free him and bring him back to reality. However, soon after, her own jealousy of watching her brother Seifer spend more time with his adoptive family than with her almost caused her to attack Yukino and Seifer himself. This ended in a positive note and was able to focus later on in the Chronicle's Eve tournament. Noel defeated Reaper drone after Reaper drone, ensuring that the tournament had eliminated all of them and became the runner-up of the tournament, losing only to Haruka. With this achievement, she became one of the Twin Beacons of Light, a guide that will help the Resistance gain hope and determination to win the fight against the Reapers. This has also marked Noel as the strongest Jewel Knight fighter in Vanguard history. Now as a big cornerstone of the future for the Resistance, she was able to defeat Chimera and now awaits the next move. With Yukino now deleted and erased from existence, she may be one of the two that may have to lead the Resistance to win this war.
