Reaper Invasion - Rematch with Kraken

"I knew it! I knew it!" Said Carlos, jumping full of joy. Chronos showed them the weak point of the Reapers. It meant that they were not invincible. "Of course he said we would win this battle! You were going to help us!"

Suddenly, a voice resonated in his head. "Every last one of you, charge and kill the Kraken!!" It said. "Hehe... That's something I can do". He ran towards the Reaper, activating his bangle. "Let's go, my Units!".

Raiden looked down as he saw that a boy was handing him a Reality Bangle. He turned to Yukino and gave a nod as he took hold of it. "I won't be long," Raiden said as he took a few steps forward. Behind him, the three Gold Paladin mains of his deck appeared. Asclepius, Coil, and even Garmore all assembled.

"I'll need some data on the specifics," he said with a small smirk to his face. "If there's anything left of you, I'll be sure to get a sample." Even though he was seeing the creature for the first time, its state was nothing to be intimidated by. He could beat this, they all could. All they needed was the knowledge of how to do damage. If he'd had more time he might have been able to figure this out alone, but they didn't have time for him to estimate. Now was the time to finish things.

All the events led to the other, from the blue blast that tore a whole into the Reaper's head, to the dragons appearing from the sky and attacking the creature head on. With the "Kaiser's" success the beast seemed damaged but all the destruction caused a large piece of debris (an extremely large pillar if u will) to be flung straight towards Haruto.

"-gasp-" was all Haruto could manage as he stared straight at the debris as it hurled with great speed at him. He did not have enough time to react and in that instance he thought it was over as he clutched his deck and closed his eyes...-CRASH-

Amidst the chaos it was questionable whether anyone noticed if Haruto had just been crushed....

Karin's aura continued to flare up, more and more, as she stood, watching her allies fight side by side, dealing blow after blow to Kraken's exposed forehead. Then, an idea crossed Karin's mind.

They had only deleted one Overlord.

Turning back quickly, she ran up to the still-nearby Sera, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Sera, I'm going to need your help." She leaned in closer, staring him straight in the eyes.

"Some of his power should still be left, from when he was on your side. I need you to give me whatever is left."

She turned to face the Reaper once more, eyes burning with renewed resolve. "I'm going to turn that thing's brain to ash with it."

Sera watched, as his reverse power was literally emanating from his body. They were winning! It was an actually accomplishable feat. With a newfound sense of proud, Sera started locking remaining Reaper resources and reinforcements from the side. Astro Reaper and Dark Zodiac got to work, alongside Photon and Lanthanum tearing grunts to shreds.

Approaching was a fired up Karin with a... request for Reverse?

Sera stared at her hard in the eyes for a moment. Was she willing to take that sort of power and effectively wield it? There was so many risks involved when it came to dealing with the power of Lock. If she wasn't careful, she would Omega Lock herself away, and only be consumed by power...

He took a deep breath, and placed a hand on her own. The red and black electricity that once ran through his fingers was now transferring over to her, to Karin. The red and black rings that traced the frame of Sera was also following suit.

"Send me the word, and I will transfer over what I can to you. Be careful... Reversed units are one thing, but this isn't an ordinary... Well..."

Sera sighed, shaking his head.

"Ganbatte, Karin. Do your little brother proud. He's watching after all."

Sera's soft smile turned to a ice cold expression as he sent her off towards to the commotion, locking down the remaining forces Kraken had brought with him.

"Be careful...," he muttered under his breath.

Carlos fought with all his might against the Reaper, not wanting it to be like the last fight. With the help his trusted Units like Spark Kid Dragoon, Photon Bomber Wyvern and Dragon Dancers like Julia and Agatha, he did some considerable damage to the Kraken. But... It wasn't enough.

The Kraken took down almost everything the young cardfighter threw at it. The monster "locked" Photon Bomber Wyvern, "deleted" Electric Shaper Dragon and... Banished the fallen Recklessness Dragon from existence. This time, Carlos felt sadness. The kind of sadness that he never knew he could feel.

He managed to finish the fight with the monster before being defeated. He even mocked the now vulnerable reaper as he fell to the ground. He smiled, thought, knowing that his comrades would finally defeat a Reaper. And with the help of Chronos. They had won that fight.

Karin nodded, accepting the (admittedly somewhat painful) Reverse energy from the embodiment of Link Joker. She felt it mix in with her aura, and felt something pulse within herself. She pulled out the blank copy of "The Great" from her deckbox.

Just as she figured, there he was. Overlord "The Re-Birth". She would use it, but only this one time. Her final burst of power to kill the Kraken.

"I will. He won't get away. Not this time."

The battle between Karin and the Kraken was as fierce as it was during the first invasion. Only this time, Karin was actually dealing damage. Kraken was scared. Riding through the grades up to Dragonewt, and outright Igniting Kraken's brain with Dragonewt's powerful skill. The damage piled up, and the score was nearly even, at Karin hanging on with 4 damage, and the Kraken on the verge of collapse with 5. Dragonewt had been Deleted, but... Karin knew what was coming. She knew He would respond.

And he did.

Holding its card high and slamming it down onto the board, Karin called upon her Avatar one more time, through the twisted power she had received from Sera, and the power of her own bond with Overlord.

Overlord The Re-Birth stood tall, though only a spirit of what once was. Karin locked her entire board to give Overlord their power. The Perditions gathered and rallied at the sight of their Emperor, even if it was just a temporary illusion. But illusion or not, this Overlord was real enough to damage Kraken. And that's exactly what it did.

A perfect guard on the first strike. Two dud checks. Restand.
Two to pass.
A critical.
A draw.
Overlord broke through.

Slamming right into the tentacled monster, the illusory Overlord put as much force into its last blow as it could, leaving lasting mark on Kraken's exposed head. With its job done, the red aura that had flared around Karin, and the spirit of Overlord both vanished. Karin felt the fire within her begin to flicker out too, but this time brought no pain. She knew her part in this fight was over.

The Reality Bangle's light faded, as did the rest of her Perdition squad. Karen stepped back from the smoldering alien, beginning to walk off. Passing by Sera, she put a hand to his shoulder again.

"Thank you... Now we can put this behind us."

Karin left the warzone without another word. She would watch the rest of the fight from a safe distance, but she knew the outcome already. They had already done so much damage to Kraken as it was, and Yukino was still there. No doubt she'd be able to finish it off.

The past few moments flew by Haruto like they were moving at the speed of lightning, he questioned his situation, whether he was alive or dead or where on earth he was, he could hear something calling for him but he was unsure what to do

.......Stan-

He slowly opened his eyes and saw that everything around him was dark as his body was covered in a bluish aura, he looked in front of him and saw something beyond astounding....

"STAND UP HARUTO!"

An blue explosion was heard and seen, as the debris was thrown away from it's location, burned away if you will, in its place stood a dazed Haruto clutching his deck which was glowing a bright blue color and a blue figure standing in front of him as if shielding him from the debris. This figure however looked oddly familiar if not for this entire presence being covered in bluish flames the people would realize who he was or who he resembled, as his jacket fluttered with the wind....

"......Ani-" Haruto could not finish his sentence as the bluish figure sent a ray of flames to the skies and back down crashing strongly into the ground, creating a portal of sorts. Percival rose from the portal and thee bluish figure turned around facing Haruto, smiled and merged with Percival. The warrior let out a fierce shout as his body was enveloped in bluish flames, with only minutes to spare the fire exploded furiously and from within appeared a new ally, a new Cosmo Dragon, a new Bluish Flame Liberator.

The cards of the dragon appeared into Haruto's hands as they shined with intense blue light, "Bluish Flame Liberator...Prominence Core..." he muttered, as he found himself instinctively standing up, with Core and Aglovale standing by his side.

"...We will stand up! To face you, monster!" he said, with the Deletor within his sights, as he prepared to lunge at the creature with his liberators by his side.

Well he was late, massively so, but it seemed as if they didn't need him. Good. Sitting off a ways from the main group, Seifer watched quietly, hands in his pockets. It seemed Haruto was up now, and things seemed to get... Explosive. Disappointing though, that he didn't make it in time... That being said, he eyed Haruto as his fight began.

"Show me... Just what you can do."

Sera watched as Karin rained hellfire on the demonic Reaper, and even unleashed the ReBirth, his original avatar, in order to push beyond her own limits. She properly manipulated the Reverse energy as well... he was proud in a sense. Maybe friends aren't that bad, if they don't ferociously dropkick you too often.

"... Good job, Karin."

She was gone by the time he had said the words, but he was already gliding back to Hoshiko, hopping along tree branches like a friggin' ninja anyways. He left everything in Yukino's hands. If he knew Haruka's soon-to-be wife well enough, she was capable on the battlefield to finish this with a bang.

"Back to Haruka. Please be safe..."

Absolute wreckage.

For an instant, every last being that lived on Cray, and those Dimension Police and Nova Grapplers from space and other dimensions were united. With Kraken finally susceptible to the feeling of damage, humanity's counterattack on the first reaper began and never ended to give the monster a breath. The Kaisers had started it after Chronos made him vulnerable, then two entire worlds collapsed on the Reaper. The Liberators wielded by Raiden, dealing cuts heavy with Criticals to instill even more panic, Karin's explosive calling of an Overlord that was even of Link Joker's own power, Carlos' potential and determination shining forward, even with the disadvantage of cards he had, Haruto's calling upon the Bluish Flames born of that person, and the guardian dragon of the past: Thing Saver Dragon being the iron hammer that was filled with the long-pent up wrath Yukino had stored for years. Before that, Sera had contributed to Omega Locking every resource available to the Reaper, and continued to do so, Mirai fought ferociously with a three-way shine from Light Saver Dragon, Bashiro's own fists struck constantly at the demon over and over before and after, holding it in place, and finally, Aoi with Jessie commanding an armada and a fleet of Aqua Force and Tachikaze.

Two worlds collapsed on Kraken.

On that day, humanity received a grim reminder of the Reapers that threatened their existence. And in this same day, humanity received a reminder that whatever God in Heaven they prayed to was real. Kraken groaned, moaned, screamed - the Deletor kept crying out for all of this absurdity to stop. A reality of pain that was not accepted before had finally been forcibly drilled into its mind, and like a child, it had no tolerance for true harm, wishing for it all to stop - wishing for it all to cease. The drawback was now that he accepted pain, he could delete it. The problem was Kraken was not strong enough to erase the infinite forces of furious humans, dragons, elves, wizards, demons, dinosaurs, and more.

"PLEAAAAAAASE STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!!"

This beatdown was almost cruel, seeing as their foe who was previously invincible was now at the mercy of everyone involved, unable to strike back or stop anyone. Even the simulated "cardfights" it won meant nothing. A collaboration of an asskicking was far too savage for him to do anything about.

Helpless.

Hopeless.

Battered.

Everything a reaper made people feel, it now felt itself.

Chronos closed his eyes, showing no excitement or pleasure like the rest of humanity did. He simply muttered something about Chronojet Dragon... an apology and a "your welcome"? Regardless, the agent of time opened his eyes to see Kraken forced into the skies in the image of two worlds. And something snapped. The sound of glass breaking was heard. The eyes of the Reaper went wide, his expression filled with shock and agony.


An explosion of void engulfed the reaper, bursting from its head.

And it left nothing, it destroyed nothing but the space Kraken was standing over. Gone like its own name homage.

Moments of silence.

Endless streams of triumphant roars following.

Humanity has won against their very first Deletor.
