Card Shop PSY Empty Re: Card Shop PSY

Post by Angel Thu Nov 26, 2015 6:26 pm

Dalis realized now she was giggling - giggling as she entered the shop. Her eyes looked around with a mystical expression, the pretty, bright lights entrancing her as they did so many times on the stage. She laughed at her own playful innocence, the innocence long since destroyed yet coming back to haunt her now.

Invited by a pineapple to a magical shop where everything would be fixed. She wondered how her life had taken such a downward spiral. She couldn't quite put her finger on the moment; too many times.

Card Shop PSY Empty Re: Card Shop PSY

Post by Best Girl Thu Nov 26, 2015 6:40 pm

The white-caped commander entered the mysterious card shop that seemed to exist in the middle of time and space, almost untouched by either. The orange Fuki and tomato Tomo-zo were already lying in wait. The Chosen Sword appreciated them helping her out again like they did before two years ago, especially Fuki who had given her Starlight Violinist and Lamorak. A loving memory of times before storms.

May not be any more time to enjoy those memories.

The pineapple Koga waltzed in with Dalis, really annoyed at everything and everyone. Without her able to stalk her crush, her life lost most of its meaning. Instead of being sad about it, it was conveyed in odd, pineapple anger. "Damn kids", she sneered, insulting Yugure and Dalis. The youngest of the sisters and probably younger than those two, and still that came from her mouth. "Can't get rid of the Seed without someone gettin' killed or someone taking it from her. So that's your problem on the table", the cabbage spoke cruelly of the situation's reality.

"I'm aware. That's why I decided I'm going to take Dalis' Seed, and figure out what to do after she's safe from it", Yugure spoke, looking right at Dalis with a resolute gaze. The woman was ready to be infected and even die if it meant her friend would survive the curse.

"I thought we were done with heroic sacrifices?" The tomato questioned.

Yugure turned toward Tomo-zo for a moment and... stared. Stared long and hard instead of answering. It was... unrelated to what was going right now, but she had a revelation. Eyes widened, expression became filled with anger and rage... Tomo-zo blinked and sweat nervously. The redhead wasn't used to girls glaring at her with such venom aside from Fuki after a night of... "meeting" someone "special".

"S-Somethin' wrong? I didn't screw up somethin', did I? I can still get the raise the princess wouldn't give me, right?!"

She's worked so hard man. Just give her some extra cash.

"... Nothing", Yugure responded, calming down, focusing back on Dalis. This was a situation to confront later.

Woe is tomato who can't catch a break. Fuki simply giggled and patted her elder sister on the back. Tomo-zo was about to cry.

"We're going to have to cardfight, Dalis. Do not worry too much, however. You're about to be free", the Chosen Sword promised. A fight table in the center of the mysterious shop activated, all the planetary revolutions and other light devices around turning on for this moment. The Liberators were selected for this duty, and not one of them asked if the girl was sure about this. Of course she was and of course she wasn't. There was no solution once the Seed would be inside of her. At the same time, the wish to save a friend was a kind of devotion that couldn't be broken by doubt. No second thoughts.

Alm was placed face down on the vanguard circle. This could be the last fight of her life, as taking the Seed would mean she could never play again without risking lives. This heavy future... didn't falter her either.

Nothing did.

A smile was given to Dalis as proof of that.

"No." Was the simple reply that slipped out of Dalis' mouth. It was quiet, shaky, frail as if it would break any second. Her face was pale and her knuckles had tightened. Whatever shock had been present at the reveal of the inside of the PSY Shop was completely replaced at the realization of what this meant. She couldn't allow it.

"I'd rather face death myself than put this fate on you." She whispered, but the conviction and resolve was there, as faint as it was. How could she honestly sentence her own friend to death? Was this the worlds cruel mockery? Force her into cynicism by berating her with terrible event after terrible event?

After slaying Link Joker finally, it came back to haunt her.

After meeting Yugure again, her ghost would always haunt her.

She gently placed Emile on the fight table, carefully. As if the table itself was a house of cards that would collapse at the slightest touch. She handled it carefully as if it was a life, her life or someone else's. The cruel reality of the situation taunted her in the back of her mind, painfully reminding her; it was someone's life. Hers or Yugure. She wouldn't let her win. She'd force Yugure to lose, to give up and let her accept her fate.

"I'm not going to let you do this." Dalis said quietly. Hesitantly. Her eyes raised themselves to Yugure's, to look her in the eye. This time, when she spoke, her voice was strong, emotional, filled with the power of conviction.

"I'm not going to let you do this. I'm going to win. Let me do this for you. Let me get rid of this Seed and be useful to you."

Liberator vs Silver Thorn.

This Yugure Espoir is not the same as the Yukino Espoir this timeline knew. She was from a timeline that no longer existed, one filled with death and despair before simply being erased. Coming from that, and knowing the same monsters who did that could be arriving, that would be enough to drive one into an endless pit with no light. Despite this fact, this woman returned to immediately warn all, and begin countermeasures. With the thought of an unwinnable battle, why even bother? Dalis, the friend who was ready to die if it meant no one else had to take the Seed and die instead, even if she didn't want to die, stood to accept the cruelty of fate. There was no real escape. Yet, the stubborn Chosen Sword opted to keep going anyway.

Why?

If it's for you, that's why.

The same thought against Jellal, who thought he had to sacrifice himself to restore Aqua Force... To Haruka, who believed putting himself at misery's mercy would save the world with Sera...

That was the only driving force she ever needed. Yugure stood to save and protect people, a hero that stands because of living creatures on two planets alike sharing the desire to live, and a beautiful future on the horizon.

That's why she's stubborn. Which is why she'd make sure this "rematch" of sorts after fighting Dalis two years ago end in her victory.

Of course, Dalis wasn't going to roll over and be content with knowing her friend would die in her stead. Silver Thorn bit back with ferocity using these feelings, yet Liberators had the upper hand with a full field charge by their vanguard's second turn. Their will to save someone after they couldn't save Tsubasa... the Bluish Flame hero drove them on to save the performer. Venus Luquier retaliated, answering the wishes of her own partner, and obtaining a 13000 power base. The same number they had struggled to overcome again and again, only doing so twice in their lives. Adding onto that was a Luquier of a future - Mystique Luquier. One that won over Reverse entirely, even turning her white hair black again.

The multiple attacks, upon with heals answering Dalis' heart made this harder than it had to be. As did Dalis' adamant refusal of letting Yugure take the burden. The Chosen Sword could only wonder why she couldn't be that defiant toward the thought of dying. Why she couldn't be defiant toward everything else in this situation. A rebellious state of mind so far, even if it's refuting the illogical, has worked. Especially when they force miracles to happen... But then, when the girl tried to say she understood why Dalis is doing this, "it's so much more than that" was stated in response.

Perhaps Yugure didn't really understand her fellow in arms then? If so, she wasn't going to press on like she did know. A wish to understand was made. To sit down and grasp the emotions going through the entertainer's mind. The time when she was first Reversed... Nope, the story would have to wait. The despair-riddled girl wouldn't give until the game was over in Yugure's defeat.

Fine, two people in this room are stubborn. The cabbage to the left of the room facepalmed. Fuki watched quietly. The tomato, however, was in tears of such beautiful companionship. Such honor between the two of them, such courage from Dalis, such recklessness from Yugure. She blew her nose on Fuki's sleeve.

Aurageyser Dragon roared, trampling over the Gold Paladins that got in his way to acquire the resources to survive against Luquier's mastery of magics and consecutive strikes. This violent play still isn't like Yugure, as even Revengers sacrificed in honor. The beast of black charisma did no such thing. He sacrificed to move forward. The time they've known this abyss dragon, nobody wanted to believe in his words or methods. ... Yet, the Chosen Sword did. If he said she was weak, she was weak. Not because she "believed in her friends" or "because she's a hero". Because she simply isn't strong enough. This old way of Shadow Paladin even by Phantom Blaster's lead... had merit in achieving goals and moving forward. Aurageyser Dragon was necessary to assist in carrying this fact to their opponent.

Chaos Breaker Dragon, the evil force that cackled heinously as the woman infected by him felt as if she was practically dancing at his command, was the devil. And to fight this devil's curse, Yugure remained stubborn.

Yet, Dalis still didn't yield.

The Chosen Sword could spew all of the cheesy, defiant lines she wanted... but it didn't mean much of anything if her friend didn't accept the possibility of making a miracle. Not hoping for one. Ascending beyond basic transcendence, a new G Unit appeared. A future where Luquier was the absolute victor, where dragons could be dominated and slain with a single crack of her whip, even if it didn't so much as touch them. "Silver Thorn Dragon Slayer, Monarch Luquier". A unit that represented a future thought impossible for the Silver Thorn player to even live in. It was unfortunate that it wasn't the Luquier of this time. The ridiculousness that followed sent the Liberators into shock, as the Monarch over Alfred led a brilliant assault, and then kick started that assault again. Two columns flew into soul, two new ones came out. Even more absurd, a "Generation Break Three" that gave herself and those called additional power. Just like the base form of the ringmaster.

How the hell does someone stop this?

Wait, simple, they don't accept the fact that they lose.

Damn stubborn war generals and their double Perfect Guards and dropping their entire hand to survive.

The blowback of not having any hand at all was painful, and Yugure was still put on five damage. Dalis even got triggers!

"What if I can't win and save her?" The thought didn't cross Yugure's mind. Exculpate the Blaster and Blaster Blade Liberator were called to war again: one being signaled by Alm, another appearing on the battlefield instantly. The Genuine King turned all those on the field into lights, and summoned five. Two of them were the Blasters, of course. The others were Balan, Bruno, and Geraint. A Double Ultimate Break on top of two retires, along with two units gaining 12000 power... Such insanity still wasn't enough, and the Twin Drive yielding nothing didn't help either. A Perfect Guard stopped Sacred Sparkle, while the other two got hits in to finally put Dalis on five.

Then a Limit Break to undo those retires. How many of Upright Lion will they have to get rid of before it stops?

Yugure wasn't supposed to win.

To accept a burden like this is to accept death. There was no solution at the moment, and there was nothing that said there would ever be a solution. Humanity's commander would die for a performer, and that performer would suffer knowing this nutjob of a woman died for her sake. In a way, the Chosen Sword's defiance was cruel. She knew if she didn't find a way out, living with knowing your friend died because of you... It was worse than recalling how Bermuda Triangle had been hurled into the Rift to protect Royal Paladin.

Still, the miracle was asserted.

They're both going to live, and they're both going to be fine.

The Seed implored the Chosen Sword to just stop. To let her win. Miracles didn't happen around her, so why would they now? ... Realizing how truly ignorant of her feelings Yugure was, the general opted to allow attacks to hit - to not guard anything. If only to make her feel better. If maybe to realize one will happen. Elkia and Napgal - two Heal Triggers, responded to two sixth damage checks. The other attack took her off of the battlefield - one of the Blaster Blades. ... Of course, Dalis knew it would happen. "You haven't given up", and frankly, Yugure never will.

Yukino wouldn't either. Dalis wouldn't give up on doing this, even if it meant her life. Everyone's just stubborn as a mule. That's why this was so hard.

[Song 4 U]

Yukino and Dalis met two years ago and had a short exchange, along with a fight. After an event at the beach, they didn't see each other for awhile. In reality, the general barely knew much of anything about this woman, and still called her a friend. "An old friend of mine", was said at HQ while waiting for her to arrive for Stride testing. Some arrogant form of companionship, probably. The egotistical mirror of herself was still alive in heart, and said arrogance clung onto her friend's life. "I'll come up with something" wasn't enough and it was never going to be. Yet, the Liberators believed. Aurageyser believed. The man who came to treasure friendship, Gancelot Zenith believed.

A lot of others believed.

"Why did you become a performer?" Yugure inquired.

"To make people happy." Dalis responded.

If she died, she certainly couldn't keep doing that. Part of the issue, however, was the belief that nobody would care. That part simply isn't true, the queen refuted. People came just to see a lady in action, get some giggles, then not think about her? There's millions of other entertainers out there, and everyone could just flock to them. Yet, they chose Silver Thorn's vanguard. The same logic was used for this hero who fought to save worlds and their inhabitants. The woman could go "save" anyone else. Darren was still out there and had to be rescued. Even so, Dalis wasn't ignored. No... Yugure cared, and that's why she picked her. Not that he was ignored either. There's people all over Earth and Cray who needed saving and rescuing.

That didn't mean she would just disregard these two.

She wouldn't disregard Dalis.

Fine, Yugure didn't understand a lot. They weren't well known friends either. Who cares? The arrogant Chosen Sword certainly didn't. All that mattered was "a friend of mine is under the spell of despair, and I'm going to break it".

Answering the call of Stride was not Aurageyser Dragon. It was a Cosmo Dragon - a new G Unit entirely. The light was... warm and reminiscent to Alfred, almost as if it was Soul Saver Dragon, yet different.

The unit that Transcended was a legendary knight who was on the verge of death, and King Ezer cried. Cried for the poor champion who was losing his life, pleading with Gods to allow him to live. ... They responded to his wish by having the young warrior be reincarnated. He became "Transmigratory Dragon, Holy Squire Dragon", and Alfred's personal Guardian Dragon as to repay a debt of gratitude. A Royal Paladin G Unit that befit the girl over the abyss dragon. This... miracle of a being gave its power to the Liberators, having an "Alfred" heart. Everyone gained power, and his own Generation Break Three gave him an insane boost. This pressure was amplified by Star Rain Trumpeter summoning Blaster Blade one more time, and setting off Bruno, along with sniping an intercept.

Guardian's Shining was let loose, met with a myriad of shields. Yet, while he was at 53000, Luquier's guardians stood at 58000 total.

One trigger.

Yugure pulled three.

Everyone gained power due to their resolve, and crashed into Venus Luquier, inflicting the lasting damage.

The Seed responded, coating Dalis in an aura of void almost immediately with an apology. Yugure gave a stern look, a glare even, at the energy. A challenge to it, and a declaration to get the hell out of her colleague. ... It did just that, sprouting out of Dalis, and launching itself into the Chosen Sword. Almost immediately, the woman pulsated with energy, bending over and gripping onto the table. Wincing and grunting in agony, the PSY hostesses stood up, attempting to rush over, but Yugure motioned them to stop.

"... N-Now... That you're... free... Tell me more about your time in... Europe. Tell me more... about what you must've been going through."

A grin.

A silent "fuck you, Link Joker".

It was trying to devour her mind as soon as possible, and she simply wouldn't let it.

Card Shop PSY Empty Re: Card Shop PSY

This wasn't supposed to happen.

She was supposed to win, and take the burden of the Seed and die so others could be happy unlike her. So why had Yugure won? Beaten her and taken the Seed? Her friend was gone. She would die. She would die in her place like some kind of sacrifice. She gripped her deck firmly, noticing now the tears that were on her face. Like a wild animal she stared at Yugure, begging her to fight again. This time Dalis would win. But she wouldn't. The burden was gone, and while she could finally listen and hear Pale Moon again, there was not a care in the world. Her screams were theirs, and neither wanted to watch this happen.

Shaking, Dalis slid the deck away. She forced herself to calm down. She forced herself but couldn't and only walked forwards to Yugure, hugging her and supporting her. She didn't want it to happen but it did and she had been too weak to stop it like everything. She wanted to scream until her voice was lost to the wind, but she held herself together as best she could; which wasn't very well.

"I-it doesn't matter now. I was being silly. Now why, Yukino...? I begged you not to and you did. Now you're dead and it's my fault. This isn't any better, and this isn't what I wanted!" She yelled, not out of anger, but out of frustration with herself and despair for her friend.

There was no miracle cure and there was no chance of a happy ending.

How cruel the game they all played was. Which piece would be destroyed next?

Yugure stared at her friend, waiting for her to answer. The internal strain she must've been suffering knowing what would happen must've been tearing her apart. Luquier likely wasn't an better off. The woman chose to continue waiting for a reply, to get off the subject. Dalis wouldn't have to worry about a thing anymore. She would be alive... and find some peace. ... Yugure found herself assisted in standing up, being hugged by Dalis. Fighting against the Seed even now, the Chosen Sword embraced her friend.

"Don't be ridiculous... It does matter, and it always will. Your life is important, that's why. And I... I'm going to be okay. I'm not dead... and I won't be. So I'll be alive... to hear about your troubles... and try to help you through them."

Heh.

A Seed trying to take over her mind that could restore Glendios?

After surviving against eldritch gods, what was that?

Gritting her teeth, the cocky queen kept up her positive expression through the pain. This was nothing, and she'll get Chaos Breaker's shard out by breaking it apart somehow. No known cure? Easy. Despair's the only way forward? Not a chance.

"Interesting." A voice boomed throughout Shop PSY.

"Huh? The hell was that?" Tomo-Zo questioned, looking around with her sisters. Yugure was just as confused as them, honestly. It wasn't one of her units, and certainly wasn't Aurageyser. After a few moments, Shop PSY's structure... expanded? The entire room felt much larger, and the ceiling was absurdly high up. A portal akin to the Rift itself opened up, and the mysterious Gear Dragon from before in the era of the War of Liberation, and the one who brought the Seeds appeared. No, he did more than that. Crouching and using those wheeled feet, the being rolled in through the floor, even destroying objects in his way, going straight for Dalis and Yugure.

"Wha-"

"Then it won't be either of your times yet."

Cutting the Chosen Sword off, an enormous hand jabbed into her. Shock could barely describe what she felt, and was lucky it didn't leave a wound or anything of the sort. Instead, the enigmatic creature grasped the soul of the queen, rubbing his massive fingers on it, prodding until he found void - the seed. Gripping onto it and causing Yugure to nearly choke, he slowly pried out the void by force, ripping it out and leaving her on the floor. She passed out due to the pain of a feeling akin to slowly tearing off extremely sticky tape or a band-aid. The Gear Dragon ignored the stares and glances, then turned around, flying out of the portal.

"You both will show me you were worthy of this chance."

TOMO-ZO and F CHOPPER KOGA stared at the vanishing hole in their store in awe.

FUKI approached Dalis and Yugure to make sure they were alright.

By the skin of their teeth, a solution arrived completely out of the blue. They both were living.
