Mountains

The mountains are just a little bit out of the town, surrounded by other mountains it is a peaceful and a good place to go camping and hanging out. There is a little lake inside the mountain surrounded by the other mountains, the water is sparkling clean and the trees make perfect fire wood. The nature there is quite beautiful and the view will take the breath away.

Xat arrived with the mountans with her deck and spirit wolf to train. She sat down her stuff near the shore line of the lake and closed her eyes before opening them and stepped into the water til it was knee high. Xat then focased on summonig her units who appered near her on the shore line as her wolf appered along side Shriayuki. THe wolf shut her eyes and focased on Xat, while Xat mirrored the action and focased on the wolf. There energy's soon synced and they merged together. Xat opend her eyes and smiled seeing how she and her wolf became one, however when she tried to unmerge with the wolf something happend.

They were almost unmerged when somehow there merging was cut off and her wolf appred back in spirit form and Xat was on her knees in the water taking deep breaths however shirayuki looked on in awe for what had happen none of them was prepared for. Xat grew a pair of black wolf ears, blue markings around her face and skin, as well as a black tail with a blue tip.





Xat looked into the lake and gapsed at her reflection not use to seeing her self look like this. She then heard her phone go off and got out of the water to answer it.

Xat Cat! Where did you go?! -gummyaoi


was the message that she saw and responded to were she was at.

"I'm in the mountans training and practicing my abilitys. I will send you the corrdents if you want to come vist. I won't be back for a little while. -The spirit guid. She sent the text before hearing her bangle go off and the message was loud and clear, however Xat wanted to go help but however if she left now then she will have to wait anouther year to attempt this, and she couldn't risk it. IF she finished this training then the resistance might have a chance at defeating the twin towers, so Xat got up and walked back into the water ready for more training.

xat looked at the water before diving in to feel at one with the water rembering the advice she got feom shirayuki that in order to become stronger one must be in tune with the elements. While she was under the water she began to consentrate and began to move the water as if she was one with it, and her mind emptyed. at least it was until she swam back up and looked around before gasping and shaking her head for she thought Malice was there, however it seemed to be a trick of the mind so she didnt bother with it for long. She walked out and sat on the ground and took out her deck looking trough it and picked up Glacia and focased it to be there and it was.


Glacia looked down at xat as she held out a hand for him for him to pet his snout. Glacia saw this and allowed it to happen before looking at Xat in the eye and spoke. "To merge with a spirit they must both have great trust in you however you are not fully at that stage now try and focas on the plaine there you should see yourself and your units." he said as xat did just that.

She looked around at the plain and smiled at her units. On this area were the boarders between both worlds she began to train with them. All day she trained till the moon was out. She opened her eyes and saw she was back on the mounten, she stood up and streached as she saw her wolf companion bring her food which she gladly ate. After she was dome xat retired to sleep however he dreams were not pleasent ones but nightmares. She was dreaming of the battle agenst Malice however insted of winning they lost and one by one she saw her friends fall. She tried to reach them but couldnt move as she looked down woundering why she could move she saw she was wrapped up in chains. "No stop please." she cried out only for her time to come and just before she about to doe the image changed and she was surrounded by darkness. "Hello?" she called out

In the darkness, a voice echoed out into the ear of Xat. A chilling, familiar sound that she knew all to well from the darkest depths of her past.

"You are the one who did this..."

The darkness of the shadows took form, the form of Malice himself. He stood in front of her with the sadistic grin he had to his face when they were first face to face like this. He closed his eyes, as if barely acknowledging Xat despite this being her dream realm. Even here he felt a spark of control that could not be taken from him.

"You allowed me to do all I needed to do. You had a power I had never seen before. Your spirit energy could have even held me back, saved your friends... but you didn't do it. I wonder if its because you wanted me to destroy them, to rule over this world with you as my queen... Is that really your desire?"

The room around them started to slowly fill with the bodies of the fallen fighters she had just seen lose one by one as he spoke. He opened his eyes and they stared into Xat's as if he was looking deeply into her very soul.

At hearing the voice xat was filled with dread, itvwas a voice she knew by heart. She felt fear as the shadows took form a man who she thought she would never seen again the grin all to familiar. "Your wrong we defeated you." she said begore she saw the bodies. "I never wanted them destroyed I wanted to free Darren besides even if you did win I will never be your queen. That is not my desire, i want to save them." she cried out but even as thoughs words were spoken it was hard on her

"You're the one who lost," Malice said to her simply, moving one leg back as he held out his arms as if saying she could prove him wrong at anytime with a fight. They battled and fought against me with all they had. What did you do? You waited in the shadows like a coward and freed a unit or two after the grunt work was done. Just like the Murakumos you use. Unable to fight your own battles so you wait for your opponent to be weakened by stronger fighters, then kick them when they're down. You're really no better than I am."

He gave a small chuckle to her as he looked more deeply into her eyes, his body giving a slight glow with the power she hated so much. "Its really no wonder you left your village. How could a weakling like you lead them to anything but despair?"

Xat glared at him but knew his words about her clan was true, they wait in shadows before striking , however she will not do that. "Im better then you Malice I take matters in mu own hands I listion to my comatads and frownds." she said but looked down at the ground to calm herself, "i left the village cause i wanted to presuse vanguard, and learn new things. I am an assissin not a leader." she said before looking up to him with resolve. "we won you lost your nothing but a memory." she quickly drew her sword however it broke and just like before she was caught in chains. "I will never be like you." se said fighting the chains.

Malice slowly walked towards her chained body, moving his hand to her chin and caressing it as a taunt to show how powerless she really was. He looked at her with a grin and said, "Whatever you try to say, these chains show who is right. You can't do anything on your own. You can't fight, you can't lead, you can't kill... What even are you? Not an assassin if you can't even kill me. You're not a fighter if you can't fight me... You can't lead your people and you know nothing about being a bridge. You're nothing!"

Xat closed her eyes and turned her head out of his hand. "thats were your wrong, i'm can lead i just choose not to. you and these chains are just my imagination. and yes i dk about being a bridge but i can learn anc i am learning." she said with determination and the bodys were gone and the scene changed again to a world of ice and there was Yukina waiting. Xat broke her chains and became one with Yukina. "leave Malice you are not welcome here." she said and shot a beam of ice at him.

The beam hit, running Malice through. His body started to fade from the blast, but as it did, Malice just laughed in her face. "The more you fight, the deeper you merge with darkness. Let it fill your core, for as long as it is within you... I will never die!" His body faded out of existence with that.

"I refuse to be like you." she said as she watched him dissapper and she woke up. Xat looked around and shook her hea and stood up. "I wont let darkness win." she said as she walked over to some rocks and watched the seniery. Shirayuki watched on from a distance and knew that soon Xat would need to fight using her new skills. She let out a sigh and walked over to her. "my avatar do not fret you are stronger then you know and when the tome cokes you shall be ready." she said with a soft smile as Xat looked at herfeeling alot better. She stood up and took out her sword and began to practice her fighting moves along side her units and giving orders like she was a commander.

The training has gone well and it soon fell to the evening when she checked her phone, and seeing the message from Riko with a frown placing it away determind to finish training so she could be help this time she had less time then she thought. However before she could continue she had to overcome the challange before her. She looked out to the forest then back to her surroundings. "Why do is Malice hunting me? The things I saw in my dreams were not true yet in away it felt like it did happen." SHe asked outloud, hoping for answers knowing this image might be the final trail

In a shroud of darkness, the demon Malice appeared before her again. This time he was in the form he took on when he had the full strength of the completed Seed. He looked at her with pupil-less eyes as he gave a wicked grin of blood lust. "The darkness in you is ever growing, Xateramusa. That darkness is powerful enough to allow me to achieve this power. You worry it will consume you. I will make sure it does... Within darkness, I will never disappear..."

Xat looked at him and stood up looking at him in his form that he took when she battled him. At his words she glared knowing that he might have a point. "Your right I'm scared of the darkness consuming me, however I'm not alone, I will overcome this fear and you will disappear. You are but a ghost that hunts me." As she said these words the barrier she hid behind shattered and a new resolve was created. "Fight me Malice and I will beat you." She said as she took out her deck feeling them ready to end this nightmare. 'Please my freinds lend me your strength' She thought and felt them responding in kind.

Malice gave a chuckle as he stepped forward. A fight field appeared in front of them as he crossed his arms. His deck appeared in the proper place on is own as he said, "You didn't have the courage to face me in this form before. You stood back and waited to free those who could fight me, allowing the willing to sacrifice themselves for that chance. I have nothing to fear from resolve like that." He was ready to battle her, his strongest form of darkness, to show her she could never escape that part of herself.

The cardfight it self was hard as Xat was stuck at Grade 1, SHe fought the best she could using only Shijimamaru, and cat devil. Her determination was admerable however at the last minute Malice was able to ride Sin Buster and dealed a deadly attack. Xat Perfect Guarded the attack however it was all futile for she coluld not stop the attack from Uru. The last damge check was a stand trigger, and with that she knew that she was far from over.

"You may have won the fight Malice yet I refuse to yiled to the darkness that is you. I will beat you, and get rid of you for good." She told him as she saw teh shadows fall away due to the sun comming out fromt he clouds.

The battle began and Malice seemed to not care about the damage he took. He constantly told Xat that her will to fight was only because she feared her own darkness. That fear seemed to be real in the form of her grade 2 not appearing in time. Malice didn't even ride to his Grade 3 until she rode, but when he did he brought out his Metalborg Sin Buster. Even without Legion it attacked for 22000 power. Xat was able to defend against it but it cost her all of her hand to do so. She was defeated.

"You don't have the power to truly overcome your darkness as you are now," Malice said to her in taunting. "As long as you fear the dark, it will always have power over you, and that power is me..." Malice disappeared from her with that.

Xat clenched her fist and hit the ground her cards scattered around her. "Why...Why cant i be strong enough?" SHe wispered before collecting her cards and placing them in her hands before laying down on the ground trying to figure out why she couldn't stand up to him. Her wolf companion layed down besides her in a circle as if to protect her. Xat closed her eyes and focased on entering the spirit world hoping for answers.
