There initially had been no opening to attack the injured Chimera as Legion and Hydra stood in the way. But soon Hydra was attacked and even killed by the others. That was a step in the right direction Okuri thought. With Chimera scared and easily injured and not even too terribly far away it was going to be manageable to kill the airborne monster then focus on Legion. Okuri looked off in the distance and smiled to see Jessie joining in on the killing blow to Hydra. He was really something else. It seemed the boy was turning to engage Legion.

"Haruka this is our chance. The others can't protect Chimera." he started saying turning back to the task at hand. Just as they were about to begin the attack he heard a voice call his name. Turning Okuri saw Illusion Fox pointing in the direction of the battle with Legion. He couldn't entirely make out what was happening but it seemed like Jessie had bit off a bit more than he could chew with Legion. That was alright, Okuri had lost several fights to the Reapers and still together the Resistance had pulled through to defeat them.

But this was different.

Aoi was in danger. Her forces were advancing too fast and were out of position. The Deletors turned their attack on her. Okuri moved as if he could do anything to help her but was far too far away. And then she was saved. But at what cost? Okuri managed to see Jessie push the girl out of the way and then... nothing.

There was nothing left in the wake of the attack. Eventually Bashiro launched off in a rage and buildings shattered as more Reapers arrived. The strongest reapers even. But Okuri couldn't stop staring at the absolute nothingness of the spot Aoi had been standing in. Jessie had to be somewhere. There was no way he was...

Gone?

"Jessie..." he managed to say, barely muttering as he simply continued staring. His eyes were wide and blank. His mind refusing to process what was happening. He was going to lose everyone now. It didn't matter what time had in store for their limited life spans. They weren't going to last past today. What was the point of befriending all these people? Why had he done this to himself again? The units of Great Nature looked on in pain knowing they couldn't reach him. Centuries of grief were surging back into Okuri's mind, overwhelming his ability to do anything. The large spirit's legs were trembling unable to understand.

Neo had seen enough. All the destruction and his friends getting hurt left and right from this reaper. It was about time that he stepped in for some of the action!

My turn for some action *Cracks Knuckles*

He then noticed someone shielding the Chimera it seems like and he reconginzed who it was..

Its that Trinity girl from that other attack..

Neo jumped down and walked toward the army of Star Vaders protecting the Chimera.

Looks like you guys could use a bit of company. Ill be more then happy to give it to you!

Neo then charged toward the Star Vaders with his steel fists ready to engage in battle!

While Legion and Hydra had been distracted by the early attack force of Haruto, Seifer, Noel, Rose and Sera, Haruka had his forces preparing to go and rush down the remaining threat behind enemy lines. Chimera was weakened and a target, now that Yukino had his legs cut down and only a sizable distance away---

It happened like that. In an instant, two terrors of the night struck as if there was nothing there to begin with. Jessie had... perished in the heat of battle. Protecting. Haruka's skin grew chilled and he had goosebumps racing up his arms and neck. His eyes widened in utter terror. If that wasn't enough, The Twin Towers made a grand appearance looking to further ruin and despair the day.

Haruka stood still for a moment, lightly gripping his fists. Instead of anger overcoming him, like it did Bashiro, a sort of calm despair settled in. He was wallowing in a thin veil of agony, seeing his comrades run, attack, and fall,  while he simply awaited a chance to attack a weaker target.

He was ashamed to call himself the captain of his fleet.

"All units, prepare the assault. Everyone who has the balls to throw themselves at the Twin Towers, I'll pray for you in the after life. But we have something left to settle here. Follow the Commander's orders and take down Chimera! Minimize all casualties!"

He started his own sprint past the Reaper grunts surrounding the area.

He knew that he wouldn't be any use against the likes of the armored Harbinger or the fearless Sovereign. He had to do what he can do, instead of trying to put together some miracle as if it was just that easy. The Aqua Force sounded the advance, keeping off of Harbinger's hinges.

Darren was able to "see" everything that was happening. The swirling of energy around him and he flew towards the sight of the highest power. He could tell things were going well... for the most part. The two Deletors, the Legion, were too powerful for one to take down alone. Darren could guess the only way to harm them would be for both of them to be cracked open at the same time, but there wasn't even much way to do that. Someone was lost... someone he barely knew but still... they needed him, didn't they?

That was when he felt a power beyond the others. The big two themselves descended. Of course they would. Darren gave a small grin at the thought of what he had to do. Sin Buster immediately spoke to him.

"You could defeat a fragment of Sovereign with ease, but do you honestly believe you can battle them both yourself and live?"

"Nope..." Darren replied simply.

"We're still going to go, aren't we?"

"I'm not even human anymore. Even if I die, its all fine if it means that this world has its future. This is how we redeem ourselves, Sin Buster."

The Metalborg remained silent. He didn't like the idea of his Vanguard going on a suicide mission, but he knew that if he tried to refuse Darren would go anyway. All he could do was protect the rash boy, and he would protect Darren with his life. That was the promise he made to Daikaiser, and he respected the Dimensional Robo enough to maintain that promise.

Darren clenched both his hands. In a small flash, two blades appeared within them. One blade was that of Sin Buster. The other was the blade of Uru Buster. They were re-sized for him but they the swords of the Metalborg heroes. He rushed towards the twins, glaring as he wanted to be sure to hold them off. The Tomato Head and her brother whom he had already defeated in a weaker form. He could prevent them from harming the others. That was all he needed to do now.

"Hey, Tomato Head!" Darren called out as he was now floating above them thanks to the jets of Mist Ghost. "Why don't you try picking on me?! Freak Show to Freak Show!" Of course he hadn't heard anything from Yukino. He had no means of communication with them and he was too far up in the air.

As this happened, Raiden was taking a more, practical approach. With the Reapers mostly distracted, Raiden could take it to the Chimera and finally defeat him. This was the best he could do for humanity so long as no one stood in his way. With deck in hand, he stood in front of Chimera, prepared to finish the job started by Noel and the others.

Xat saw what happen and felt new anger hit her, Aoi and Jesse didn't desrve this and was going to attack but she heard the warning words and began the attack again this time heading towards the twin towers to aid the others holding it back. Riko saw this and new the plan, it wasn't easy he knew but even the hurt must be put aside to save the others, he to began an assult agenst the invaders hoping to drive them back or at least lower there numbers.

Shirayuki appered along side Xat with a sad smile knowing xat's plan. "I will use what power I can to hold them back as well though I will need to use your powers to mentain the wall." She said as Xat yelled to Yukino.   "We will hold them back best we can, in the meantime finish off the other invaders." she yelled to her knwoing she might lose her mind, but she will take the risk after all they were her dear friends.

They approched the Twin towers and imeditly Shirayuki used her skills to build an ice wall, but with xat's shaman power made it stronger then normal ice. They were not going to fight but at least Distract it enough for the others to finish the invaders, Xat looked at Shirayuki and with a nodded to her jumped down on to one of the towers. "You are a spirit that is pysical lets see how you handle this." SHe told it and took out an Ethernal Dagger (the ones that damage spirits) hoping that it will do damage to it after all it was the prevous Shaman's weapon. Yukina, and Glacia showed up to help as well. Yukina helping create a barrer and Glacia attacking the dragon.

The Kaiser stepped into the battlefield, sweaty and shirtless. Why was he shirtless? Not even the Kaiser himself knew the answer to that. He had arrived late due to his training session being lethal to interrupt, but now he was here. He looked at the Twin Towers, the invincible Reapers. Cero's training had been to defeat them, but it wasn't finished. Grimacing, he figured he'd assist Yukino and attempt to drive the twins apart. He was fully aware he couldn't defeat either of them, but he'd try and hold them off as long as he could.

As the Kaiser dashed towards the Twins, he shouted towards Yukino and Darren. "Try and drive them apart! Even if we can't kill them, we'll make it as hard as we can to take us down!"

----

Fubuki also arrived late, but she had been just in time to see Jessie saving Aoi and being erased. For a brief moment, Fubuki stood frozen in fear. To make matters worse, the invincible Reaper she had faced last time was there. Panic struck Fubuki, and she gripped her chest, feeling her heart pounding. She felt as if she were about to have a heart attack. The girl collapsed, but raised her head and looked at Aoi.

Standing up, Fubuki forced herself to step towards the battlefield. Her chest was in immense pain but she fought through it. Raising her reality bangle, members of the Blue Storm Armada were summoned to her side. An icy wind blew, and Fubuki glared at the Deletors in front of her.

"I won't let you hurt her."

"Everyone's all fighting...". He witnesses many fighters doing battle with the monstrous Reapers. Although he continues to support his friends, he is also very hesitant, doubting his ability. "What would the 'old' me have done in this situation?" he asks while holding onto his deck. His eyes, once brilliant, went dull as he remained indecisive.

Even thought other soldiers joined to attack the two powerful Reapers, they weren't no match for them. Carlos was sent flying towards a nearby building, but once again he was shielded by Recklessness Dragon. The continuous bother of the headache, along with the dizziness caused by the fall made him unable to join the battle against the twin Deletors for a few minutes. But in a real battle, even minutes are critical.

When he regained stability to stand, he was just in time to witness a horrible spectacle. Aoi, who was distracted fighting against the monsters, was being targeted by the attack of one of the twin Deletors. "A-Aoi!!" He shouted, trying to move just to fall on his knees. "Shit! Legs, don't fail me now!!". But it was too late. The beam managed to hit... But the fallen soldier wasn't Aoi. It was Jessie.

"What the...?" The young man muttered, finally standing. Jessie shielded Aoi from the attack, but he ended up being wiped from existence. He... Disappeared. A single tear fell through his face as he kneel down. "No... It can't be...". A few days ago, he was celebrating with him the defeat of a Reaper. Not long before that, he was watching his fight in the tournament. And not long before that, he was having a practice match with him. "No..." But now...He was gone. No more parties, no more practice match, no more drinking with him regretting coming along...

Once Carlos realized that, an intense anger clouded his judgement completely. He didn't care that new Reapers appeared out of nowhere. He didn't care that the soldiers were running away from them because of how powerful they were. He wanted retribution. And he wanted it now. "No!!! Jessie!!!" He shouted to the heavens.

"Recklesness!!!" He called his Avatar. Hopping on the back of his Thunder Dragon, he charged again towards a nearby Reaper. "You monsters killed my friend!!! I'm going to kill every single one of you!!! I'll send you to hell where you belong!!!". The selected the twin Reapers he was facing before as the receiver of the no-holds-barred beatdown. "Let's go, my Units!!! Let's kill those bastards!!!".

Impossible Battle! Darren's All Out Assault Against the Immortal Opponents!!

Darren stared down the two Reaper Gods, the Twin Towers of the end. He was all too familiar with Harbinger thanks to Malice, and he had just battled a fragment of Sovereign. Now he was fighting them both at full strength, and at the same time. Suicide mission was an understatement. This bordered stupid. Even knowing that, Darren still fought.

He was hit, hammered, and smashed down. One attack after another threatening his areal balance. He held tight onto his blades until he tossed the Sin Buster blade into the air and rode the Metalborg Sin Buster. His power increased through a skill and he was given another skill which activated if he hit. He knew he could hit, but he did not. Darren miscalculated and had no defense ready for the difficult part.

The Tomato Head herself appeared onto the field. He thought he was prepared for this, but banishing one of his units from the drop zone and a stand trigger left him barely alive at 5 damage already. He was reeling. He lifted his hand and rode his Vanguard. Sin Buster stood up, free from the chains of deletion. He sought out his mate, Uru Buster, and with two Uru Busters on the field it gained even more power than before.

Darren struck, taking out almost all of the twin's field within the single turn, but only inflicting one damage. Their armor was tough. Even sticking his powerful sword right in her sweet spot did nothing. Then again, eh already knew that. Armor that could negate the damage given to it would be that difficult. Still, it forced the Legion and Sovereign to appear.

Sovereign deleted this time. He felt this before but it was much stronger now. He couldn't guard it like he had before. The rear attacked. He had a Daishield in hand. He could use it to defend himself, but he decided to use it now. If he healed he could use it against the twins, but it was more likely that he could see their combined attack if he blocked this. He was correct, they both attacked and Darren was devastated. The Black Nurse didn't appear. The blast destroyed Darren's field and he was prepared for the end.

The end did not come.

Sin Buster stepped in the way. He took the blow and Sovereign destroyed his essence. Sin Buster turned to Darren, giving a smile that could actually be seen despite him being a giant robot. Sin Buster disappeared, and that wasn't all. Uru Buster disappeared with him, and the rest of the Metalborgs did as well. Malice created the Metalborgs beginning with Sin Buster. Without him, they had lost their foundation, their base. As a deck, it could no longer stand.

Without any more units, Darren fell to the ground from the sky. He fell onto his back. Had he been human, he would have died, but the fortification to his body due to the Seed just meant he was extremely hurt. He groaned as his body was in a crater. He tried his best, but he couldn't do anything more than this now. He was useless to everyone.

Trinity began to face the first that attempted to push through her defense, holding her blade ready as she commanded her Reverse and Star-Vaders to battle the Brawlers. She had gotten a good start as Ruin-Magician gained a boost from Critical Trigger. But the tides quickly turned as she was pushed back. Even as she charged in herself, Halcion did minimal damage with Magnet Hollow and Vowing Saber Dragon Reverse. Then came a powerful strike from the Brawlers as their Legion appeared and made quick work of her soldiers before striking her down. Though her armor protected her, Halcion felt..pain. She was gonna lose yet again at such a crucial moment as the return of her Lord. She...the one assign to command the Reverses. Someone blessed by Lord Harbinger. It sicken her. Over and over she lost to these humans.

"No more! I can't lose! I WILL NOT LOSE!!! My soldiers! It is time to unleash your true powers!!! Give me your power to fulfill my duty!!!!"

Halcion raised her blade as she channel everything she had into it, calling her Reverse units to grant her even more power. 5 of them to be exact. Broken Heart Jewel Knight, Ashlei Reverse. Dragonic Overlord, The Re-birth. Blue Storm karma Dragon, Maelstrom Reverse. Clean Up Celestial, Ramiel Reverse. And Dark Dimensional Robo, Reverse Daiyusha. They all willingly let themselves be locked as they pooled their energy into their commander's sword. The blade glowed brightly and grew larger as she glared down at Neo, her armor cracking.

"This is the power of true unity!! Now taste our blade!!!!"

Halcion slashed down the empowered blade at the Brawlers and Neo, yelling with all her might. Even when Neo tried to put up a defense, her Star-Vader also answered her call, a double trigger with one being a critical. With their powers added, Trinity cut through the defense and into the Brawlers, her armor shattering completely from the immense power she unleashed to gain the victory. Though she had lost her protection for good, Trinity didn't care. No more will she hide behind its shield and be hindered. Now she would show the humans that she was not some pathetic mindless drone like most of the others and would give her all to fulfill Lord Harbinger's wish at all cost. Despite that though, Trinity was panting from the overuse of energy as she watched the destruction her last resort blow unleashed. She could still fight but...she wouldn't be able to cause that powerful strike again. Not without using up her very life.

And so the fight began and Neo and Trinity each flipped over there starting Vanguards. To Neo's surprise it didnt seem like Trinity was any different from the last time they fought which was a defeat for Neo.. he wasnt going to let that happen this time aroudnd. Both players had smooth rides up to grade 2. Then Neo used his Spark Kid Dragoon to search out a Grade 3 and it came to him..

Brawler, Big Bang Knuckle Buster.. He came to me when I needed him most..[i]

Neo knew what he had to do. So he yelled out the name of his new avatar and Rode it into battle! He striked down Trinity's Vanguard sending it for a loop but just then.. Trinity rode herself into battle.. Halcyon. Neo remembered this from his last cardfight with her but just then he was triggered by a unit she called..

[i]Vowing Saber Reverse..

It was the unit Neo had used when he was Reversed last year.. and all the damage it caused.. Neo was triggered and not in a good way.. He blocked all of trinities attacks and was ready for his big counterattack! He legioned Knuckle Buster with Slash Buster and activated his Legion skill for massive retire and powering up of his rear guards. He pushed Trinity to 5 damage but couldnt seal the deal.

But then..

Trinity was pushed to the Edge of her rope. She called upon the power of 5 Reversed units and used her Ultimate Break.. locking all of the units. And her Vanguard gains 2 criticals and Neo couldnt use Perfect Guards.. not that he had one anyway. He dropped all of his hand and went for a 1 trigger to pass but Trinity got a double trigger in the Twin Drive. The blade of the Reverse destroyed all the units guarding and Struck the Knuckle Busters, then struck Neo knocking him back against a wall.

It hurt but Neo was ok for now..

Even with my new power.. I still couldnt help my friends out!! Why am I not strong enough!

One by one, fighters collapsed in front of the Reapers. Jellal looked away from the fights, unable to bear witness to the destruction that was occuring right before his eyes. He was feeling guilty and shame standing beside them, wanting to run away from his uselessness.

The blonde hair male then heard a damage check from Fubuki and saw a blue and purple dragon. "That dragon!" he said. As it was placed into the damage zone, Jellal felt uneasy as he started to recall that dragon. "That...dragon" he said once more, captivated by it, he walked forward towards their fight. He looked at the Aqua Force cards that Fubuki had but felt himself drawn towards the dragon known as Maelstrom. "I..." he stuttered.

"I....." his eyes started to regain their brightness but quickly shut them closed as he recalled memories of him standing beside this very dragon. He started to remember, fight after fight that took place. His fight with Neo, his fight with Kaze, his fight with Ighanna, Hikaru, and even his final fight with Neu. The shattered shards that were his memories began to reforge along with his will to fight. "I... I..." after opening his eyes slowly he looked at the palm of his hand.

"I see you remember. About damn time you slacker." a voice said in Jellal's head.

"Yeah, I do." Jellal said with confidence. His eyes showed nothing but fury for his enemies.

"Now that you remember, can you actually get off your ass and fight? Or are you gonna let your friends risk their lives while you whine again?" the voice said once more. Jellal opened up his deck and looked at his cards but with a smirk.

"Nah, I can't let them have all the fun." he said. "I have to help them, just like they helped me. And plus..." he looked towards at Maelstrom. "I have to make sure nothing bad happens to my old avatar. I went through a lot to free him, I don't wanna have to do it again sadly."

Re: Reaper Invasion - A Nightmare Without End

Post by Best Girl on Sun May 01, 2016 4:54 am

The raw recklessness and stupidity of those who dared to fight against the Twin Towers of the End, even if they knew they wouldn't win except for Cero, who believed... would not be forgotten this day. The Chosen Sword, the Kaiser of Europe, the Seed-Hybrid Black Hero, the Spirit Shaman Assassin Descent, and the Servant newcomer with Oracle Think Tank shot toward the two strongest Deletors to exist. As if to spit on their efforts, Sovereign's relentless gravity broke the ice walls summoned by Shirayuki and Yukina with his very presence. Was Harbinger the most powerful reaper, or was it the Daunting Deletor that crushed the earth by simply... being?! The Reaper queen laughed, sneered, and cackled as Metalborgs and Kaisers flew at her. Seekers attempted to join, but were swatted away, and Yukino conjured three broadswords to not get blasted away: Blaster Dark, the Bifurcation sword, and Mordred's blade. Harbinger backhanded them, literally destroying the duplicated weapons and knocking her backward. Chronos caught her in his arms.

Darren and Cero fought the Twin Towers directly, and it went as well as expected: not very. Sovereign seemed personally irked over his piece's defeat - Karin's defeat. He was eager to rectify this error with the power of his absolute domination. The might of the Black Heroes crashed into them, even with the free shots Harbinger was allowing them while "flirting" with the boy who stated he wasn't human anymore.

"Ah? Human or not, you're still like all the others." Harbinger jeered.

"A worm." Sovereign added.

Then, there was Cero. The King who was a living timebomb thanks to the Reapers. Corrosion in his heart set by Sovereign... Harbinger cackled, finding the results of his training hilarious. In the end, resistance was futile, and she was more than prepared to show his "soul" that. Crimson and Vermillion assaulted the battlefield in tandem, but not in Legion. It was still an electrifying sight, causing lightning to blast down onto the earth without end, thunder booming in fear of the supermassive war underneath the sky. The Twin Towers Legioned, meeting both Sin Buster and Crimson. Darren managed to Legion, going to a free shot that... of course, Harbinger goaded, as it did nothing against her armor. Cero didn't even bother trying to force himself to Legion. Instead, he went straight for his Avatar's power at its prime. Vermillion appeared with his own Limit Break to attack the Reapers.

Truly, humanity's stubbornness had touched Chronos' heart, interested Legion's, and was a comedy act to the God of Death.

The Reapers stuck their enormous claws into Sin Buster, ripping out his very core, then smashing it apart. Every Metalborg followed, and Darren was blown out of the sky. Cero didn't fare much better, the Brawler: Ark being deleted with the black heroes, Harbinger slamming her fist into the Kaiser, sending him flying.

Carlos, in a rampage, fought against the Juxtapose Deletors with Fubuki, who had attained a new, majestic power found in Tetra Drive Dragon. The former was furious, watching his friend be eradicated before his eyes. The latter was here to protect the gumball who was still in shock at the sight of seeing one of her closest friends... disappear. Why... Why didn't she or anyone expect this to happen? Why didn't Bashiro expect it to happen?! It's a war, not just a game! It's a war to get the game back! Legion did not truly care, simply clarifying that Jessie was not "dead", but gone entirely. This only further enraged Carlos, causing him to strike with a gigantic Armor Break Dragon that Legion couldn't even stop. Though they could not find the weakness of them, they were still sent flying into several buildings by the Critical Three Armor Break Dragon, who was one Critical short of a swift victory. Fubuki, surprising Aoi by summoning the new Tetra Burst Dragon, that rear-admiral who had conformed to Blue Storm, struck at the Reapers in a similar fashion. With... Blue Storm Dragon, Maelstrom.

For an instant, Aoi saw a vision of a barren wasteland. Someone standing there was... Jellal?

Aoi nearly fainted from the migraine that forced itself into her mind. A gumball was forced into her mouth that she nearly choked on.

Bashiro was too busy thinking of what to do and how to get Jessie back. There had to be a way, right? There should be, THERE IS. He calmed down after Yukino saved him from getting intercepted by the Twin Towers again, but he was still so mad, upset, sad, and confused. He was alone - no kin left. Jessie was all he had left, and they stole him away. ... And the worse part is he went out saving the girl - like the hero he kept trying to be.

"GODDAMMIT!!" Bashiro roared. If he couldn't fight the Gods of Death and Legion was being taken care of, he'll make everyone's job with Chimera easier. Chimera was terrified, trying to crawl away, something to get away from the humans. Unfortunately, air bullets pelleted the Reaper ironically. He would fire at people to keep them away from him in the sky. Now? Bullets are slamming the creature into the wall. "GIVE ME MY BROTHER BACK!" The thug demanded as the Reaper wailed.

Yukino was placed on the ground by Chronos after watching her comrades get blown out of the sky. Harbinger and Sovereign were going for Beatrice and Xat next - exactly what she wanted to prevent. Even worse, Darren was knocked out after she swore to protect him, and Chronos won't let her go to get him.

"Let me go!" Yukino hissed.

"To your death? In a minute." Chronos spoke sarcastically, keeping a hold of her shoulder. "I must ask, what is the point of 'holding them back'? You cannot harm them, they'll just trample over you."

"If we can kill another Reaper today, then it's well worth getting trampled over."

"What kind of logic is that? Is it because of your 'destiny' as the Chosen Sword?"

"... It's not a destiny."

"What?"

"What's it to you anyway, Chronos?"

"... I was genuinely curious. I do not understand why you humans take such strides against that which you can never defeat. If you kill Chimera, you still haven't killed the problem."

"That's where you don't get it, Chronos."

"Hm...?"

"If we can do even one thing, we progress. With progress, we find a new answer every step. Killing Chimera today means Chimera can never hurt anyone ever again. We destroyed Hydra, meaning it can never destroy again. We don't have an answer to Harbinger yet... but if we can find one for all the others... We can still save someone, and press on to find one for Harbinger."

"So blind faith."

"... Sure, I need to go." Yukino turned from the agent, and began to cringe. Her heart rate grew worse, causing her to grip tightly at her chest again. Chronos levitated in front of her, trying to gauge what's wrong, but understood immediately.

"Heart attack?"

"Close... Just... violent palpitations. Nothing to worry about."

"I and several others would beg to differ. Isn't that easily curable?"

"Yes... by relaxing."

"Why not relax?!"

"Because I can't sleep knowing those damn things are killing everyone! Unlike you!"

"Now hold on, I'm not happy with the Reapers destroying everything! That's why I'm helping!"

Chronos wasn't lying either. Against Legion and to hold Chimera down, several warriors and maidens with gears and clocks... Gear Chronicle appeared on the battlefield and began helping the masses with the invasion. Evacuation efforts, medical treatment through reversing or accelerating time, even saving Carlos and Fubuki from Legion with Chronos ace: Reform Calling Gear Eagle. The sight of it surprised the Chosen Sword, imagining they may have caught Darren and Cero too.

"... You want my recommendation? Go find your boyfriend and speak to him before you go on a suicide mission. I shall attempt to help your other friends against the Twin Towers live, but I have a proposition for you when you're finished."

Yukino rolled her eyes as Chronos spoke. "Proposition", what now? All human beings and the like submit to his clan, bowing down before him? She didn't have time for this, but she did... want to speak with Haruka before flying back into the heat of war with Harbinger. True to his word, Chronos boosted himself to the Gods of Death while having Uluru and History Maker Dragon catch Darren and Cero respectively.

"Haruka!..." Yukino winced and wheezed as she shouted, hoping to catch him before he had gone off to fight Chimera.

Re: Reaper Invasion - A Nightmare Without End

Post by Megumin~min on Sun May 01, 2016 5:14 am

Mitsuki arrived at the distraught scene, watching fellow comrades fight against the Hydra. A familiar tint of colour vividly flashed in her mind, it was none other than Chimera. After the incident at the tournament stadium she thought that they have eliminated it but it seems to have returned to haunt us.

"Sorry I'm late, actually maybe this isn't the time." she told Yukino through the reality bangle. The voice echoed really badly and a sharp noise pierced through the ears of everyone wearing it. "Oops Razz" she said as she brought scavenged for the second pair of Reality Bangle which belonged to her brother. Perhaps the signal didn't work well when two pairs of bangle are interfering each other. She was about to place it down safely under a rock but realised her brother was present at a far distance. Helplessly standing midst chaos, it seems he lacked units to fight with. Grasping onto her very own bangle hanging around like a necklace, she called forth her avatar and another unit to carry her to her brother.

"Bad End Dragger, Devildom Chemist, please!" she yelled as the maroon devil descended onto the battlefield along with a feeble, blonde figure with bat wings sprouting from his back.

"Seems like you got yourself into some trouble again." Bad End mocked Mitsuki and laughed for a bit before dashing straight ahead. Wind blasted Mitsuki's hair like a strong hair dryer as soon as Bad End disappeared.

"A familiar face eh, if it isn't Chimera...We'll have to deal with it again, right Manager?" the chemist questioned as it carried Mitsuki forth towards Jellal. It seems to have taken a drug which boosted its speed so fast she felt strands of her hair falling off. She'll have to lecture these brutes some day, they ruined her careful and precise hair treatment at a very expensive salon.

"Ya we'll most likely have to deal with Chimera since we've already fought it befo- CHEMIST CHEMIST YOU'RE GOING TOO FAR AHEAD!! STOPPPPPP!!!!!" Mitsuki yelled as she flashed past Jellal without him even realising.

"Brotherrrrrrr" her voice slowly dissipated like an ambulance passing by, luckily dropping the Reality Bangle just onto his brother's head. She then forcibly withdrew the Chemist as she fell towards the ground like a landing aeroplane. She screamed as she nearly reached the ground, hitting a figure and toppling it over.

"Ouch, urgh that damn Chemist. I'm very sorry!" she apologized as she was covered in debris and small wounds. She noticed an extremely familiar voice in her head which flashed the color grey. "Haruka!? Or is this Sera!?" she yelled in surprise as she quickly helped the person she crashed into stood up, being puzzled whether this was actually Haruka or the twin she met earlier.

His body was carrying as fast he could right into the heat of the battle, hopping on pieces of debris and turned over cars to reach the now open Chimera. He was looking to take it down before anyone else could get hurt. If he could just tear the thing apart and get out he wouldn't mind taking a few hits himself.

It was around the halfway point to his opponent he saw something from the corner of his get knocked right out of the sky. For a moment, he assumed it was some soldier who got coiled up and tossed away by Legion but that was... not at all who it was. Upon a slightly closer inspection when turning his head, he nearly crushed the asphalt beneath his feet trying to divert his momentum and turn to the location where that "thing" had been flung from the sky towards. It took a few moments to bypass more grunts walking in his path. He couldn't exactly hope to fight them, so he just ran as fast as he could by them, taking a smack in the back of a head by a shocking tentacle as he zoomed past.

"S-She's okay... right?"

His legs carried him as fast as he could until he heard his name... no, he heard it twice?

First time was what he expected. The sound of a weakened and injured Yukino. His lover was in terrible condition from what her cry sounded like. Another was... was it that fan he met back at the stadium? Mitsuki?
----
Sera was flattened to the ground after his battle with Hydra, by some insanely quick moving object. It was... a person? Who was she calling out to? He couldn't exactly tell... His body felt weak after he arrogantly kept trying to control the monster. While he was angry and determined to fight it, he didn't know that "no shit given" attitude was going to be his downfall, draining him of his energy and nearly exhausting him of all he had left.
----
"Yukino....? Yukino! I'm on my way!"

He called out as loud as he could, not stopping for a moment until he finally caught sight of her nearby Chronos who was simply, well, there. He didn't know what to say, but considering his beloved wasn't dead or crushed, he can assume he had some thank yous prepared for him later.

"Hey, hey, you... you're really hurt, jesus." He took her into his arms for a moment, half-panicking what to do. Even with his chest against hers he could feel the irregular heartbeat of hers quickening and slowing. He bit his lip, calling out, no, beckoning.

"Medic! We need a medic now!"

He looked down at her for a moment, feeling downcast. He couldn't run so foolishly into battle. Something... kind of clicked in his head. It was a miniature realization he had before, but it was now hitting him a lot harder. If he had gone to fight Chimera and didn't come back... hadn't seen her get knocked out of the sky... never heard her cry out for him.

He wouldn't be holding her now. He would never hold her again.

Haruka squeezed her a bit tighter.

He took a glance around at the scaled-down apocalypse happening. Everyone fighting. Seifer fighting his very soul out for Rose, protecting her after her own defeat. Okuri facing the realization one of his best, if not, his best friend was completely erased from existence... Everyone was facing pain. Hardship. Despair. Agony. But he wasn't going to let Yukino face that same thing. The feeling loneliness. Losing someone is hard, and Yukino knew loss from experience.

Haruka squeezed her even tighter.

"Where's the goddamn medic...!"

He was nearly shaking filled with this mix of impulsive rage and misery and the fear of losing another person in his life was something he wasn't ready to bear, but there wasn't a chance in hell he would forgive himself if he inflicted that sort of pain on a person he cared about by throwing himself into a battle he didn't know he could win.

Re: Reaper Invasion - A Nightmare Without End

As Hydra fell, Seifer's rage only seemed to intensify. Is this what Yukino had meant about harnessing it? No, probably not. It was rather overwhelming to be honest. The normally calm, level headed brunette was in a wild fit of pure rage, turning his attention from his last victim to Legion... Watching it erase Jessie from existence. He didn't know the kid that well but... He knew at least that he was a good kid. But watching someone he did know at the very least by name, someone who he had fought beside... The sheer idea of it seemed impossible... But they were in a war like this with otherworldly beings, so nothing really was impossible. ...Except maybe their own victory, and as the fear crept in, Seifer chose to embrace even more of his rage instead. He'd just lost a comrade. He wasn't about to let it just go.

"Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" before any of the Revengers could stop his idiotic charge, dragging the six foot blade along the ground, he was off, charging toward Legion. However, with the destruction of a nearby building, and the resulting shockwave because physics... the brunette was thrown into a nearby pile of debris... Slamming into it hard. There was a sharp pain in his back, and the clanging sound of the illusion blade as it fell from his hand. As the dust and smoke from his impact, he was laying again debris, with some laying on top of him as well... and a rebar stabbed through the lower right side of his stomach. The Revengers, who all had been so helpless to stop him from his idiotic charge rushed over to try and clear the rubble off of the brunette, who was groaning in pain... blood soaking the area around the rebar... and trailing down a few cuts on his face. He felt tired... Maybe he should just... go to sleep.

"Seifer!" Mordred shouted trying to keep him awake.

Re: Reaper Invasion - A Nightmare Without End

Post by Rosalia Izanami on Sun May 01, 2016 1:32 pm

There was just so much to take in at once. Hydra was defeated, with Chimera as their next target. Even if they couldn't figure out how to beat Legion just yet, humanity had a fighting chance! At least... until Harbinger and Sovereign arrived. The Twin Towers had appeared with an overwhelming pressure surrounding them. If humanity had such an issue trying to fight the Reapers as they were now, how were they supposed to take down these behemoths of absolute power? Rosalia shuddered at the energy that now flooded the battlegrounds. Even if she wasn't able to see energy like certain others, she could definitely feel the difference between the Twin Towers and any other "normal" Reaper.

But she had her duty to fulfill. The pinkette wouldn't be stupid this time around and attempt to fight the Twin Towers. She would certainly fail, and perhaps she would vanish once again... No, she had to focus. With Hydra down, she knew that Malchedael and Asmodel would be heading for those who dared to hold back the Twin Towers. Hael and Batreal were still flying around those who faced off against Legion, bearing witness to the horrors of Jessie being erased from existence. And to think that the white haired youth had fished Rosalia out of the rubble just moments before...

Of course, then Chronos did something strange. Beings with gears attached to them started to assist where they could on the battlefield. Some were medics, others were evacuating civilians. Well, whatever the case, the Angel Feather clan was not going to be outdone by other medics.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Darren was found by Asmodel, who kneeled by his side in the crater his fallen form had created. "Hold on. You're a friend of my Vanguard, so you're not allowed to pass so soon," the pink-haired angel mused. She placed a hand over the males chest, the warm light filling his body with healing energy. Human or not, Asmodel wasn't going to be the angel of death for him today.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Asmodel's Legion, Malchedael, found her way off to the side where Neo had finished battling Trinity. Luckily, the male's impact against the wall from the final attack didn't cause the wall to crumble on top of him. He was easier to find that way. "You are... Neo, correct?" Considering Rosalia and Neo were friends, it was no surprise that the violet-haired angel knew of the brawler. "You fought well. Rest for a moment before charging head first back into the fray." Similar to how Rosalia had treated Neo during the training session earlier, the angel placed her hand over his forehead and chest. The warm healing light was identical to Rosalia's treatment earlier, curing both physical wounds and exhaustion.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Batreal landed by Aoi's side, placing a hand lightly over the prodigy's head. She was clearly in bad shape, though the weird gumball seemed to be helping. The golden-blonde angel wondered exactly what was in it, but she wouldn't pester. "Seems you've got quite the headache. Please, try to relax," Batreal soothed gently. Though she was known as the Clumsy Celestial, there was no mistake with manipulating the healing energy to enter the Chinese Champion's body.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

While Batreal had two Legion Mates, it was her mate of Matching Wings, Hael (as so Rosalia would call it) that stopped by Sera's side. The angel of pale blonde hair could sense his existence of something... foreign, but if he was fighting on their side, then she would not question the male. "I know not your name, nor your purpose. But stand strong against our common foe. We need all the help we can get..." Hael huffed in a "matter of fact"-like tone. While tending to his own exhaustion and possible injuries, the angel then turned her gaze to the female who had flattened the guy. "You are... Mitsuki. You were treated by Rosalia in the previous battle... Are you hurt?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With all of her angels busy at hand, it was left to Zerachiel and Rosalia herself to find Yukino and Haruka. Zerachiel had heard Haruka's call for a medic and immediately flew towards him, her azure-colored wings carrying her and the pinkette as fast as possible. Clearly Haruka would be panicked if Yukino was in bad shape, even though the Chosen Sword was almost always getting herself hurt.
Rosalia's attention, however, was briefly distracted by what sounded like another building crumbling. What really caught her eye though was the Shadow Paladin units digging through the debris. She recognized Mordred most of all, and with a lone sword laying nearby, there was only one person who could have been caught in the mess: Seifer. Her heart dropped, and immediately she ordered Zerachiel to change directions. The angel frowned, but did as instructed and landed next to Mordred, placing Rosalia on her own two feet. "Go help Haruka and Yukino. I will not lose anyone else today." "Be careful not to spend yourself too much," the angel replied, then took off.
The pinkette medic assessed the situation, doing her best not to break down in tears right there. She could either sit there and cry as she would watch Seifer die from blood-loss, or she can do her damn job. But why a rebar? Or at least one that was still connected to the concrete. It couldn't have been just a piece that broke off to pierce him and make this easier... This was going to suck. "Mordred, this is gonna suck, but I need you and probably at least one other Revenger to actually pull Seifer off of the pole." she ordered. Her? Order around a Shadow Paladin? The world has clearly fallen into the deepest parts of the abyss. In any case, Rosalia knelt in the growing pool of blood. One hand was cupped around the pole sticking out of his abdomen, while the other was around where the pole stuck out of his back. "I don't have to tell you to be careful..." The healing light emitted from her fingertips and flooded into the wound, however, it was slow as well. Sure, she was tired, but she didn't wan't to heal too much since removing the pole was going to aggravate the injury more. For now, the light was slowing the bleeding and keeping up the male's blood pressure so he didn't pass out. Even if it meant him feeling the pain of being pulled off the rebar, Rosalia was not about to risk him blacking out, fearing that he would never wake up. I vanished twice on you already... You died on me once. I'm not letting you equal this score...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

In the meantime, Zerachiel finally landed by Haruka and Yukino. She dipped her head first in a respectful manner to the Aqua Force Commander before placing her hands over Yukino's forehead and chest. The Chosen Sword was in worse condition than the angel initially thought, but that just meant she wasted no time to heal the woman. "Take deep breaths and relax." Her words were directed to both Yukino as well as Haruka, attempting to keep both parties from having a mental breakdown or a panic attack. The healing light emitted from her hands just as Rosalia and the other angels can do, healing internal and external injuries as well as exhaustion. But would Yukino's heart problems be so easily treated by this white mage magic? Now would be a good time to pray that it would.

After losing to Trinity, Neo was smacked against a wall.. lucky for him the wall didnt fall down on him. Some time after that Neo noticed a violet haired Angel came and he recoginzed the Angel because there was only one person he knew that had the power of healing..

Rosalia must have came..

Neo watched as the Angel healed him just like how Rosalia healed him back in the training session. Next thing you knew Neo jumped up to his feet and was feeling 100% better

Thank you!

Neo then walked around seeing the destruction the reapers and monsters caused. When he turned the corner and noticed Seifer on the ground with Mordred and Neo saw what had happened to Seifer..

Is.. Is he going.. to be.. ok?

Neo was almost in a state of shock.. he couldnt believe what he was seeing..

Haruto had finalized his duties with Hydra but things took a turn for the worse, when Jessie fell in the hands of the Reapers....

"......Not again...." he said, as he could now clearly hear his heartbeat.

It was not clear if Haruto felt pain, sadness or anger at that moment. One thing was for sure though he did not take this situation lightly and he desperately wanted to avenge his fallen comrade, a person who sacrificed himself for the sake of his friends...

"...This ends here!" he shouted, as he charged at Chimera.

The Gear Chronicle Maiden was not in time to prevent his fall to the earth, however she did scoop him out of the crater which was helpful in itself. Darren was nearing the point of passing out in Ululu's arms before Asmodel, the angelic partner of Rosalia, mended his wounds and healed his stamina. His eyes opened a bit more as he looked at the two units with a small grin. After dealing with the two Reapers so closely, these two were a lot easier on the eyes. Still, Darren understood what he had lost.

He looked down at his deck for a moment. Every Metalborg card was deleted. The few Dimensional Robos that were among the ranks were spared, probably because they weren't connected to Sin Buster at all. But with just thee few cards, he could never make a deck. How was he suppose to fight now? He couldn't help but give a laugh, a laugh at himself. He failed at being the weapon humanity needed, not because he lost to the invincible but because now he was no longer able to fight for them. He was like a broken arrow, useless.

"For all I am, I gotta sit and watch?" Darren said softly. "If only..."

"Was I away that long? I don't remember you being the type to give up, kid."

Darren's eyes widened at the voice he heard. He lifted his head to see if it was actually true. The original hero that has always been by Darren's side had returned. Super Dimensional Robo Daikaiser!

Chimera was crippled and wriggling about in pain after being continuously blown into a wall. Now, all of humanity is darting for him, and Legion didn't seem to care that much. They were still so curious, intercepting few that chased the chaos fusion Deletor. Shrieking in even more fear, Spike Brothers and the Vanguard of Liberators were coming for him. Not only that, an enraged Bashiro was making sure he never got the chance to inch away from the siege. The brawler looked over to Seifer, who had been knocked down and stabbed by debris, which filled him with absolute panic. No, no no no no no, please don't let anyone else die today. Not again, no no no. Much to his relief, Rosalia had rushed over there, and she with Shadow Paladins were going to help him. She's a medic, it'd be okay. No one else dies.

Bashiro was trembling, tears welling up, but blocked out by his fury and fear all at once.

Yukino was feeling dizzy, held up by her lover grasping her tightly. Oh no... her heart was pounding against her chest to his... He'd feel her heart beating in a horrendous state. Stress had greatly piled on and it was never given a chance to recover. Zerachiel coming over and washing away injuries and exhaustion... It was just too much. This irregular pulse was in severe condition - entirely unsure of how to fix itself in the utter chaos of this attack. She decided to focus on Haruka through it. He's her light, the one that makes her push herself to live - to power through it all. He squeezed her tightly, and she stayed quietly in his embrace as the Celestial was helping her relax even a little bit.

"Hey..." The Chosen Sword started. "This is a bad time but I wanted to..." Cringe, wince. "Talk to you."

"How amusing you still appear before us, Chronos". Sovereign taunted as several other users of Time Leap in Gear Chronicle flew to the Spirit of Time's side. Chronos gritted his teeth, realizing the stupidity of the gamble he's willing to take for humans now. Seeing such emotion and flare from them all truly inspired the enigmatic agent that hated them all. He can't believe... he's still going to go through with this.

Aoi held her head as Batrael appeared to help soothe the pulsating migraine. It helped, but it didn't stop the visions. She knew who Jellal Kisaragi was, and she knew who Maelstrom was. Why? How did she know? Aoi was visibly panicking, unable to relax as directed, even when Genovious came over to her, and gripped her shoulder. He wanted to convey "calm down", but she can't hear the voice of her units. Damn this lack of connection! The Roaring Ripple lost more comrades in battle, and he can't even speak to his own commander properly!

"... Father caved in." Yukino looked up to her lover, smiling. "We talked and he's still reluctant but... He accepts you make me happy, and didn't want to be alone in the house because of you taking me away... He told me I was lucky I got you, the mess I am..." Exculpate's eyes were tired, the woman slowly breaking down. Haruka was still holding her, and with that support, she didn't fall over or collapse on him. Instead, she rested her head on his chest, wanting to hear his heart beat that was still intact - the opposite of her own. Just to hear the pulse of her still alive and well fiancee... The bravery that Ahmes imparted onto her welled up in her own chest, feeling as if she could do anything with Haruka in mind. A near heart attack isn't going to stop the queen so long as her king is still kicking. "... He said... look forward to some extra pay... and Ahmes... Ahmes said when we go to Cray... He'll get us some place nice to stay, away from crowds so we can enjoy our honeymoon in quiet. Somewhere near the ocean - Magallanica's edges I think... Hmhm... He said he'll do his best to keep the Paladins away, and get the Marines off our backs if your units won't already."

The Chosen Sword chuckled at the thought of old friends like Gordon and Akane shouting, Ezel gossiping with them, and worst of all, the Blue Storm generals and cadets laughing up a storm together. All of those jerks causing an endless stream of a ruckus... It was an endearing thought, actually. To be surrounded by a bunch of loud idiots, then see them off after their wedding.

"I wanted to talk to you one more time... to find the courage to stand up to Harbinger that I didn't know I didn't have... I love you so much it hurts..."

It did hurt, her heart is acting as if it's literally trying to reach Haruka.

Re: Reaper Invasion - A Nightmare Without End

Post by NoelKusanagi on Sun May 01, 2016 6:55 pm

Despite that swift and explosive victory against the duo Reapers calling themselves Legion, Noel exerted a little more than what she should of. It got her a bit more exhausting since she was still recovering from her last exertion of power during the tournament and against Chimera. As the Jewel Knight vanguard recovered, she watched as every one of her friends began to fall against the sudden arrival of Harbinger and Sovereign along with the ones who were currently there.

What... happened.. The arrogance cultivated from her recently dubbed title as a Beacon of Light changed into fear. Anger. Powerlessness. How... why... we were ready! We trained! We weren't afraid anymore! We were able to survive!! Noel thought as she was frozen in fear.

Legion had killed Jessie. Darren was almost killed by both Harbinger and Sovereign and at the critical moment, the Metalborgs sacrficed themselves to save his life. They were deleted. Their existence erased forever. Neo was seen getting defeated by one of the drones, smacking to a wall, but thankfully he wasn't killed. Yukino was going through stress strong enough to kill her. What seemed like a chance to finally turn things around, humanity was given a grim reminder of how powerful the threat really is.

"Everyone is going to die."

A voice. Noel turned around. It was.... Mirai. Her Seed. Her dark future self. "...what." Noel was shaking in fear.

"If they keep fighting Harbinger. Everyone. Will die. The belief of this nightmare ending... it's foolish." Mirai kept on saying as she watched alongside Noel what was happening. She was right. No one was strong enough to beat them. They will all die if this continues. Noel, still frozen in fear, tightened her fists in anger. She can't do anything....

Mirai closed her eyes, even she wasn't sure on what the future will unfold. Her allegiance to Harbinger was something imprinted in her that even if she wanted to help the Resistance, she couldn't. All the Seed could do was ponder on which side is truly right in bringing about a better future. Is a future where everyone and everything gets erased to prevent further conflict correct? Or was constantly fighting threats, losing loved ones, unsure of the outcome while protecting the present the right thing to do? She just simply doesn't know anymore, her time is gone, everything was already lost. This is just borrowed time, a time given by mercy to make a pitiful request come true.

Everyone will die... yet they are all fighting knowing that... Noel thought as her anger formed tears in her eyes. She looked at Mirai, "You say everyone will die, but look at them, they are still trying to fight. We can't run forever... sooner or later, we may all die but if we can at least prolong things, if we can at least make a small difference to slow down the Reapers, it's worth it..." The now newly resolved Noel wiped her tears away and walked away and went towards the battlefield. That's right... we will keep fighting... we will fight! We will find a way to win!! I... I will wipe them all out somehow... no... I WILL KILL THEM!! Noel's eyes glowed red and her Reverse marks appeared on her face. She ran and her Reversed Jewel Sword materialized and ran towards the already weakened Chimera. It may not be Sovereign or Harbinger but getting rid of this one will mean one less Reaper to deal with.

Even with her new motive to continue the fight, what kept her going was her fear of dying. Not only that, her closest comrade, Salome, was taken away from Noel. Running away now will only disgrace her sacrifice. Noel will find a way, she will find a way to bring her back. Life is not the same without her.

Re: Reaper Invasion - A Nightmare Without End

Post by Jello on Sun May 01, 2016 7:31 pm

Haruka felt the faint source of life within his arms beat to a different drum. Her body was warm but she was clearly exhausted and feeling weak. Despite the destruction around, and all of the world collapsing in front of their eyes, she was... almost calmed. Collected. Pacified by being in his arms.

She spoke of only good things. Nice things. Father Espoir gave Haruka his blessing indirectly, and was even offering him more money when working at the mansion. Probably to help cover the fee that the giant rock his daughter was now sporting costed. He ran his fingers through her hair steadily, trying his best not to collapse from fear or some other negative emotion intruding his mind. Everything he was hearing was like paradise but everything around him was not. All he could do was cherish and hold the treasure of a person in his arms.

Yukino even spoke of Cray. Their wedding. She still wanted it there? Apparently Ahmes would be so kind as to help the couple stay somewhere peaceful. By the coast of Magallanica, where the sounds of the ocean would fill the air and the faint noise of Magallanica's undercities could be heard. He cherished the thought. Yukino rested her head onto Haruka and stood there holding her so tight she might break at some points. The agony of everything around him didn't set in until the life of someone he knew was finally gone by the hands of the Reapers. He wouldn't let Harbinger do the same to Yukino.

"I... I would like that a lot. Thavas and Lambros can take a vacation week or two. We can sleep in, or I guess not sleep at all considering..."

He chuckled a little.

"Tell dad I said thanks for the money, I'll appreciate every dime I can earn."

It's when Yukino said how much she loved him, how it made her feel. That's when Haruka's grip finally let up. His arms slowly came a bit looser, not enough to let her go, and still enough to keep her from falling or keeling over altogether. But enough to breathe a little. Ease cracked over the armor his heart had been trying to forge for awhile. The feeling that if he lost anybody, he would have to get over it.

He wouldn't get over it.

So instead he accepted it.

He would accept loss, and no matter how hard it was, he would find a way to get past it. Those words of affection were the piercing lance to his suit of armor.

"I... Love you so much. We're gonna make it through this, and we're gonna get married and have a honeymoon on Cray on the beaches and we're going to have everyone be there and listen to the cackling and laughs of the units there who will welcome us. It'll happen because we'll make it happen."

He blocked out the sounds of mass destruction around him, focusing only on the heartbeat of the woman he was holding. Her breathing. Her voice. Her alone.

Chimera was in the distance, and Haruka knew that this Reaper, whatever it was to someone else, was a horrorterror to him. It was a nightmare that he would have never imagined existed in his wildest dreams, a year or two ago. But today... he's going to vanquish that nightmare. Or at the very least, do what he can to remove it from the place and people he holds dear.

He gently placed his lips on her head, allowing the sounds of hell around him to re-ensue.

"I love you too. We have business to take care of now."

Her tired eyes met his only a few moments ago but whatever exhaustion he had in him was now disappearing and the vigor of battle rejuvenated.

Haruka doesn't want to fight anymore. But he'll keep doing it until he' seen the war, their war, Earth's war, through to the end.

Cero looked at the Twin Towers. Their power was even further beyond what he had believed. He couldn't even use Legion against them. As he felt the corrosion eat away at him, sped up by Vermillion being Banish Deleted, Cero collapsed. His chest felt as if it were going to implode. Anger filled him. He forced his way out of History Maker's grasp, and landed on the ground, a storm in his eyes as he glared at the twin towers. Emotion overtook reason, and despite its futility, Cero began charging an attack. Lightning shot around him, everything being destroyed and rubble floating as the destructive aura formed a sphere around Cero and spheres of energy appeared in his hands. This aura kept spreading and growing in both size and power, forcing anyone who couldn't withstand it away.

Fubuki fell back, unable to damage Legion. In the distance, she saw someone with an eye patch punching a Reaper into a wall. . . From a massive distance away. A mental note of this was made as Fubuki turned around, and noticed Aoi on the ground, panicking. Fubuki dashed towards her friend, and put an arm around Aoi.

"Aoi! Aoi, can you hear me?" Fubuki said, turning back to look at the eye-patched man and the Reapers. "It's not safe here, can you stand up? We need to get you out of here!"

Mordred and the other Revengers didn't know what to think about the Angel Feather main commanding them, but they knew they didn't have a lot of time before Seifer completely bled out. Right now, he was breaking out into a cold sweat from shock. Carefully, but quickly they removed him from the rebar, which brought a sharp yelp from the brunette, Mordred wincing at the sound. They were hurting him more but they needed to get the rebar out.

"At this rate we might be too late to stop an infection, even if we heal him now. You know that right?" Mordred asked the medic, glancing at her. He was worried to be honest, since in the case of an infection, Seifer's will and body would be what determines if he lives or dies.

The rest of the Revengers with them glanced to the ground in solemn silence. Even then, could Rosalia save Seifer? Are their efforts going to be in vain.

"Let's just believe in him." Blaster Dark was the one who spoke up as they set the injured Shadow Paladin leader on the ground, with Mordred's cape under him to prevent further infection from the ground. Right now it was up to Rosalia to fix the wound anyway.

Aedan, having pushed aside his worries from earlier finally showed up, really really late into the fight. Taking in the scene, including the two towers... the Irishman grimaced. He'd been late to help anyone and unfortunately it seemed there were far to many casualties. He'd blame himself later, for now though the ones that could stand seemed to be making an attack on Chimera. He'd help out however he can, Ezel appearing at his side as they charged.
