The form of the Overlord's younger self, Sharyu, edged its way between the attacking Dragruler and Overlord the Great, locking claws with the phantasmal abyss dragon. Karin shot a glare at Solis from atop the Overlord's shoulder, as if to say "Get out of here". Turning her attention back to the black dragon, she stared at the dragon's master- Seifer.

Seifer gritted his teeth, staring up at Karin and the Overlord. He knew... He somehow knew this would probably happen when he saw her summon her own. Then again, who wouldn't of known? Sighing to himself, he snapped his fingers, the massive abyss dragon pulling away from Overlord and Karin... Retreating to Seifer's side. "So this is how it's going to be?! ...After what you told me, in the Illusion world I'd made to let myself die off. This is how it's going to be?" the brunette clenched his fist, glaring up at Karin. ...Actually Solis no longer mattered to him. He wanted to save his fellow fighter, one who at one point in time... Had been a fellow Kagero player.

"Fine..." he muttered... Dragruler bowing out and fading away, a swirl of flames sparking at the brunette's feet, his eyes seeming to glow in the light. "Come at me with everything you have!"

Okuri did what he could to get as many people nearby the entryway he'd been standing in out safely. Some of Carlos' units came to aid the cause. As he followed behind some of the stragglers Hikari's orders came in and they were presented with a new predicament. There was another deletor, airborn even. The orders ended as he made his way outside. Looking up into the night sky he saw the figure looming high above in the air. Another candidate for most horrifying thing he'd ever seen. Panic was flaring among the people again at the sight of another monster. But how could they fight a foe so far away?

"How on earth do we-" he started as he looked to his units that had followed him out from the stadium. There was a look about them. Something about it said they felt they were up to trying to fight it however improbable the idea seemed given the distance to the monster. "If you're all willing then we'll have to try." he said as some of the units nodded in accordance. Somehow or other he was going to try and engage Chimera while it was still airborne.

Witnessing the vanishing of Harbinger was a sight for sore eyes, until Lambros instantly pointed out their airbourne enemy. Haruka blinked, turning his head in astonishment... mixed with pure agony. How in gods' name were they supposed to take to the skies against that kind of enemy?

Thavas stated it was easy, just find a plane. Or someone who can fly. Haruka shook his head at the near asinine comment flooding from the second-in-command's lips, and ditched the main stadium area, evading drones and their attempts to guard from the Resistance. Haruka needed to act fast and faster than the drones could.

.... Somebody who could fly.... ?

Haruka was heading to the stadium exit and out onto the street.

"Assemble the Blue Storm Armada, go go go!"

Lambros and Thavas were reassembling all the troops who just recently went into their barracks for celebration after the tournament. No rest for the wicked, no rest for the righteous.

Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar

Post by Best Girl Sun Apr 17, 2016 3:20 pm

The injured Yukino held up her Reality Bangle to project a massive hologram of Chimera and data on the "Mixed Deletor" Keios. A flying Reaper that had amazing mastery of lock and delete. Even if Chimera did not have Legion, the grade two Deletor that would lock upon call, everyone was at risk of the binding rings sealing them. However, every soldier was naturally worried about the sheer distance of the creature, wondering if they could even attack it from afar. If they could, could they do any real damage to it? "Stop thinking about it", the commander stated. "The longer on linger on 'can we do this', the more damage it inflicts. This isn't Harbinger, nor is it Gigaton. ... I won't lie to people about what we're able to do and what we're not able to do anymore. So I'll tell you this: after those we have already defeated, Chimera can be taken down from the sky!"

Finally, she made it clear Chronos' words weren't hollow. No more defiance in what they didn't know about. Chimera doesn't look and more than likely isn't even remotely as sturdy as Sovereign or Gigaton, and with no armor, is not invincible. The population of Japan watched heroes prepare for war again, filled with fear and terror. Vanguard was to be used for war again, and it couldn't be prevented in this invasion.

"Uh huh, how the hell we doin' that exactly?" Bashiro inquired, approaching the general.

"Form three teams at the very least. Two approach at his sides, and a number of us rush forward at it. Try to surround the Reaper, and keep its attention on us. You and I are going forward."

"How did I know I was gonna get dragged into the forward team?"

"Everyone, start running like your lives depend on it! Units summoned by your Reality Bangle need to have range! Chances are, they do! It will be insanely hard to do any real damage on him from afar, but do not falter!" The Chosen Sword commanded as the entire army began charging at the aerial behemoth in the night sky, leaving behind humanity without bangles to simply watch their beloved sport come to this... King Artorigus and the others of the Association did not move. Instead, they merely observed.

Hikari, your wound- Ahmes was cut off.

Don't worry about my wound, I'll live!

Solis had looked up toward Karin, getting the message loud and clear. Fine, Karin can take this one, and he'll impede the rest trying to attack Chimera. Beginning to glow with a crimson aura, emitting ferocious heat that would melt the earth below him, the entirety of his Perdition forces was summoned, and he shot toward the Resistance like a rocket with a legion of hellfire.

"HOW INTRIGUING. ... WAIT, DO I FIND THIS INTRIGUING? PROBABLY. YES! NO, I REALLY DON'T. HUMANS ARE QUITE FRAIL. YOUR SILLY CEREMONY HALTS, AND THE SPINELESS COWER, HIDDEN FROM THE REALITY THAT WE ARE HERE." Chimera roared, rather confused with... itself? Regardless, the reaper laughed hysterically as humans began to charge in challenge. Everyone was too far away for him to truly be harmed, so enjoying the heroes squirm was great pleasure to any Deletor's ears. This situation and reality was undeniable: the reapers were here and they weren't leaving until forced out by warriors that take up the gauntlet.

Humanity can never forget this.

Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar

Post by Rosalia Izanami Sun Apr 17, 2016 5:06 pm

Rosalia had faced the Reapers once before, but even if she were to face them a thousand times, there would be no getting used to the terrible fear that crept into her core. So much power, such a giant monstrosity, and there was always pain. This time around though, she didn't have a Reality Bangle, meaning she couldn't look at said beast and help out... yet. After making her escape from the stadium grounds, she was mostly following anyone she knew from the Resistance towards the beast. She heard Yukino's message by eavesdropping on Aoi's bangle, sort of, and wasted no time in trying to catch up. It didn't take long to distinguish Bashiro from the crowd (even if she only met him like twice before), but thankfully he was near Yukino, who never hesitated in taking the lead in the charge. Well, it was about all they could do.

The pinkette faltered at first as she ran in attempt to catch up to her sister-in-law. Without the bangle, she didn't dare look at the beast, but the pressure that wracked her head was unbearable. I'm going to be sick... It felt like a thousand sledgehammers slammed into her stomach, and a thousand more into her skull. Going through with this was fighting an uphill battle, but she wasn't about to stop so soon.

"Y-yukino!!" Rosalia called for the Chosen Sword as she got up again, continuing her run. She ran as hard as she could, bearing as much pain as possible along the way, until the light returned.. A soft light emitted from her deck, the same light she had seen over and over again since her return from Deletion. It was a small light, but the feeling spread throughout her body, numbing much of the pain if just so she could run with a clearer mind. But this feeling... She knew what she could do; she just had to catch up first... "Yukino!!!"

Aoi rushed to join the left team, as they were the farthest behind. Jessie left with her too.

The Chosen Sword had been rushing with the forward platoon, her weary eyes starting to show only blurriness. While running, she occasionally rubbed her eyes and continued nursing her wounded head. Then, the voice of Rosalia reached the woman, and she stopped. Soldiers and Bashiro continued forth while she turned to greet the pinkette. "Rosalia?! Not now!" Yukino turned and rushed over to he girl, grabbing her shoulders. "You shouldn't be out here! Go hide somewhere with the civilians so you don't get hurt again! I don't want them taking you again!"

Yukino almost looked like a wounded wolf. The pain of her head intensified her anger toward the Reapers, giving an unintentionally violent expression to Rose.

Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar

Post by Jello Sun Apr 17, 2016 5:35 pm

Haruka was dashing as fast as he could through the mess of panic on the streets to get a clear sight of... that thing. He blinked, checking to see if what he was looking at was real. Sure as hell was. He shook his head, noticing the presence of his deck get colder. The force was assembling at rapid speed it seemed. He pocketed it finally, equipping his white gloves and revealing his Reality Bangle.

He stared at the contraption, usually unaware of the impact it made but in this case, it was a saving grace. A flank plan was the best option, and the right team needed some attention. Haruka swiftly rounded up the rest of the Resistance soldiers, herding the ones who weren't aiding Yukino and Bashiro in the frontal assault or assisting Aoi and Jessie off on the opposite side.

"You three, take the right side and get your units out, now! Bows, guns, anything to take that thing down from the sky. Taking to the skies is dangerous and idiotic. That thing doesn't look very kind, now, does it?"

A few soldiers quickly nodded, almost more terrified by Haruka's sudden screaming at them, more so than the beast in the air. Once their heads got cleared, they started using the bangles to put forth snipers and bowman from across Cray's nations. Haruka himself brought upon the strength of as many ranged units from the Blue Storm as possible. He pondered bringing in the Aqua Jet team to take the rooftops, but it was too risky with that thing up there.

Lambros and Thavas manned cannons in place of their beam sabers, Hermes commanded the first wave of infantry units, and the Brave Shooters all started manning snipers. This was only the beginning of the assault...

He needed to find a way up there. Without a clear shot at the thing's head, the chances only became slimmer and slimmer.

Hikari's orders came in to form multiple teams to attack from the front, right and left of the airborne reaper. Without thinking too much Okuri charged off to join the right side assault team. As he approached he noticed Haruka nearby, preparing the Aqua Force to begin a ground based assault on the Reaper. He had an idea of how to get his units to be able to attack himself but it was dangerous for them. Chimera ruled the sky and trying to fight him in it would be dangerous. Several large bird units manifested for Okuri's usually fighters to board and attack Chimera from. The stress caused from having to sustain basically double the usual units was present rather quickly but it was something he would have to bear with.

"Haruka, I'm gonna attack it in the air. Can I count on some cover fire?" he said as he caught up to and ran alongside the Blue Storm captain. His bird riding foxes and such were ready and took to the air to engage the demon.

Post by Rosalia Izanami Sun Apr 17, 2016 5:42 pm

The pinkette yelped at first when was grabbed, looking up at her sister-in-law with a startled expression. She hadn't seen Yukino so.. angry, at least not since she returned. But this wasn't the time to worry about that right now! "L-look! I'm not going to sit back, okay?! I-i'm not just any civilian, and I won't be taken again. I can help!" All could be empty words to the queen, and Rosalia knew that very well. Yukino was of those people that, once she set her mind to something, nothing would get in her way. At least, that's how the younger of the women thought.

Though yelling probably wouldn't solve the issue either. Rosalia took a deep breath and reached up, placing her hands lightly over the Chosen Sword's head wound. "I can be a medic, just like I said I would..." she answered, almost whispered. The light she saw from her deck now materialized at her fingertips, filling the wound with warmth. Truth be told, the pinkette had no idea how she was doing it. Thankfully, just as she hoped it would, the wound was healed when the light finally faded and Rosalia pulled back her hands.

Actually, a smile came to her face when she fully realized what just happened. It was something she didn't know anyone in the Resistance could do. Was she special? Eh, she could help in her own way, and that's all that mattered. "Best part is... I don't have a Reality Bangle~ If you have any though, I wouldn't mind one so I don't go nuts from creepy crawly over there~"

Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar

Post by Dementuo Sun Apr 17, 2016 5:43 pm

Karin met Seifer's challenge with full force- A clash between two Kagero players, both wielding the strongest force in Dragon Empire... Both wielding Dragonic Overlords. Karin was surprised to see the form of Overlord's future come to combat its past self, but she was ready for it all the same- She had already overcome the present... she could beat back the future Overlord too.

And she did.

The strength of Sharyu's ability to restand without the need to hit his target forced out a majority of Seifer's hand, leaving him with little room to mount a counteroffensive. Karin spent the entire game playing aggressively, the swords of the twin Overlords clashing once again, as they had done merely hours ago.

But amidst the fight, between the fire and flames, Karin relayed a message to her opponent.

"When this is all over... Tell Yukino to come find me. I'll be waiting for her."

Karin gave this message in hopes it would reach Yukino's ear... And that Yukino would understand it, when the time came. Once the Descent ended, whether Chimera wiped another city and escaped unharmed, or the forces of the Resistance pierced its skull and destroyed it, Karin had only one thing left she needed to do.

The form of Sharyu faded to nothing, Karin landed onto the ground, and gave one final look back at the scene behind her. The forces of Earth and Cray, banding together to take out yet another Reaper, one that soared high above them. No matter the outcome, Karin would be rooting for Yukino all the way. Her orange eye glowed faintly before fading, the blue color returning to it once again. She turned her back on the battle. Her duty here was done.

Haruka nodded as Okuri's air-squad took the skies. Haruka ordered the left half of the squadron to aim for any incoming projectiles aimed at Okuri's forces.

"Keep those guys alive! Not a single one of our allies comes out of the air until that thing is out of the sky too!"

Lambros was commanding troops and squadrons of Battle Sirens and Marine Cadets that were scurrying around the battlefield, whilst Thavas rode his kelpie across the battlefield to help give morale aid to the soldiers who were already getting injured or just plain having a bad time. It sucks when a glimmer of hope just disappears like that.

Thavas sent messages to the other squadrons, giving them orders to be careful and not aim at Okuri's airbourne forces. He was a courier for the evening, until Haruka felt it was necessary for the Aqua Force themselves to get in the action. For now, suppressive fire was the game at hand.

He lost. Again. Was this really all he could muster up? Sighing to himself, he accepted the message as his flames died down, a hand placing itself on his shoulder. Looking back, he was met with the face of Mordred Phantom. His avatar. Thinking about it, this was the first time he'd actually seen Mordred face to face. Even with everything going on around them, the fights... Sounds, and destruction, there was just an almost awkward silence between the elven Revenger, and his vanguard.

Shutting his eyes after a few moments, Seifer just nodded quietly... with Mordred removing his hand from the male's shoulder, turning toward the massive monstrosity. "We can wallow later. Right now, let's help our friends out." first time Mordred ever spoke to Seifer either.

"Fine, fine. But after I'm going to go enjoy five tubs of ice cream."

"You're sharing that."

The pair took off toward the Deletor, attempting to assist however they could.

Aedan however, was struggling with Kachidoki and the Murakumo units, though Xat showing up seemed to help out quite a bit. Giving a thumbs up at the Shirayuki user, the blackette proceeded to chase the Drone down, with Ezel and Garmore keeping the enemy away from their Vanguard.

After helping Chronos, Haruto descended with his units and headed towards Aoi and Jessie to lend them a hand against the reapers. Given how the other squads had Yukino and Haruka it made sense for him to support them, so he quickly ran towards behind them with his units alongside him.

"Aoi!" he yelled to try and get her attention, as he followed behind.

Fighting this reaper was going to be messy given how far away it is, "We need a plan..." he thought.

Mitsuki remained besides Yukino as the other members began taking formation. Even though staying close to the leader wasn't as safe, compared to crossing across the battlefield carelessly was much worse.

Chimera's color through Mitsuki's hearing was purple and yellow mixed up like a vortex. Ominous purple and staining yellow, the colors supposedly mixes into black according to the color wheel.

With a Reality Bangle of her own, she hoped to stand up against the monster alongside the Resistance thanks to Yukino's guidance. "Please, materialize!" she shouted as her Bad End Dragger finally took form as an opaque figure, a demon clad in blood-red armor. "I never expected a girl to be able to materialize me, oh well from now onwards I'll be under your care manager" the devil said in a surprising tone before referring to the girl as his manager. Mitsuki raised her arm and pointed straight forward at the Deletor, signalling her unit to dash straight towards the chaotic battle.

Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar

Post by NoelKusanagi Sun Apr 17, 2016 6:31 pm

Noel along with Yvain and Swordmy was making sure all the civilians were out of harm's way. This stadium that held the most fun and competitive tournament has become a war zone. Main priority is getting these civilians out of the way, everyone else is fighting so now while I am not occupied, I can get these people to safety!

As much as the Jewel Knight fighter wanted to join her friends fighting back the drones and the Reaper terrorizing the area, reducing or preventing civilian casualties and injuries was just as important. The Resistance broke into different squadrons to eliminate the threat. "Everyone! Please this way! Get as far away from here as you can!" Noel ordered the civilians that were still in shock and in terror, in a time where having an "orderly-fashioned" line was practically impossible, they actually listened and hurried as quickly as possible to get away of this place. Noel kept going until every single innocent person was far enough for them to avoid harm. "Alright... they are all out of here, now we don't have to worry about no one getting hurt.." Noel said to herself as she took a deep breath. Honestly, she was still a bit exhausting from her tournament matches. Using the power of Reverse when the Broken Heart Jewel Knight appeared either as a Vanguard or rear guard was quite taxing on her body even under control. But this helped her buy some time to recover and can now join in on the fight.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mirai kept watching. "Is this really... salvation for humanity...?" The Seed started having doubts. Something in her was trying to fight back and cause her to doubt that Harbinger's ways may not be the correct path to save humanity. She descended to the ground with Phantom Blaster Abyss and stared. "Who really is my enemy...?" A sharp pain crossed her head and she fell to her knees and held her head tight trying to endure the pain. Memories of her previous life kept flashing, her inability to save anyone, her inability to save herself. She yelled in pain as each memory of the death of her friends felt like fatal blow to her heart.

Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar

Post by Best Girl Sun Apr 17, 2016 6:53 pm

The airborne Reaper is insanely powerful! Bashiro and Jessie attempted to backup Okuri flying ahead with Brawlers and Ancient Dragons, but all of them could barely reach Chimera! The majority of them didn't reach all, signified by the horror of watching Okuri's deleted vanguard versus the Reaper that, even with two triggers, did not feel. What kind of terror was this after a tournament filled with hopes and dreams? Humanity watched their units all blast everything possible, with a large number carefully moving toward the Deletor via flight, only to be shot down at an ungodly rate. "How the hell do we get to it from here?! It's gonna take way too damn long to ground him! Our Crossrides aren't even doing shit!"

Bashiro seems to forget all Brawlers are close ranged.

Aoi turned to see Haruto while Genovious stood next to her, trying to come up with a plan of action. Bashiro was correct from the forward team: it'd take too long to reach Chimera, and doing significant damage is insanely difficult from this distance. Especially when it can delete over and over again. The Roaring Ripple cringed while watching Great Nature, among others, get shot out of the sky.

"Okuri!!" Jessie shouted.

"Our only plan is to just keep trying to get close, but how can we do that?!" Aoi cried in response to Haruto saying they needed a plan.

Yukino wasn't even remotely convinced Rosalia wasn't just another civilian at the moment. After seeing her disappear over and over, along with not really seeing much of her action in the attacks, the Chosen Sword wasn't confident in her younger sister trying to fight. The queen was about to yell at her just to get her off of the battlefield like an overprotective parent, until the pinkette's hand reached to her wound. Shockingly, it was healed - the injury began to close while searing pain vanished. It was warm... almost as if... Mother Espoir's healing touch tapped her daughter. "...M-" Yukino almost called out for her parent, wide eyed over the light that took away the agony. "You... You just..." The queen was still surprised, then heard a request for a bangle. Realizing Rosalia must not have had one, the Meister quickly traced the air of the device's highlighted blueprint, and magically created one, handing it to her.

"Fine, but don't you dare do anything reckless! We finally have a new on-site medic, so your priority is helping top-level soldiers recover. It sounds cruel and you will want to help those of lower rank, but we need all our aces against the Reapers!" Yukino finally got over her shock and accepted Rosalia's help, then turned to go with the others.

"Nobody stop trying to hit that bastard in the sky, you hear?!" Bashiro shouted to everyone in the forward team, and hoped it would reach the other teams. He would start on a path to go check on Okuri, branching off form his team.

Kachidoki proceeded to charge at Aedan with his sword proudly.

Solis set ablaze the cowards of the Resistance's lower ranks left behind that would not attack him, incredibly irritated with their lack of spirit. "So, the tournament was nothing more than a fleeting bliss... As expected." The sun warrior closed his eyes, greatly annoyed. He loved that humanity was happy again, but knew it would only last until a new Reaper showed up. It did, and he still had a job to do as one of Harbinger's soldiers. ... As he thought, nothingness was the only answer so humans would not fear the future.

Chronos, finally floating out, was trying to make sense of Chronojet's light, as the way he saw it... Humans still could not Stride.

Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar

Post by Doggy Sun Apr 17, 2016 6:57 pm

Despite the assistance from their avian friends, the Great Nature units were not made to be fighting in the air. The distance made things much harder to hit the monster looming in the skies. The beast simply argued with itself unsure of anything it wanted to do as it continually deleted and locked Okuri's units. Ultimately there was nothing more he could do and his units were swept out of the air. The birds and units riding them vanished as Okuri's strength failed him for a moment. A sudden twinge of pain shot across him and he tripped up and tumbled over himself as he was running alongside Haruka. He thought he heard someone call his name in the distance but his senses were all disoriented for a moment. The strain of having so many units out and having them defeated in such a manner was bound to catch up to him eventually, he'd just been hoping for later rather than sooner.

"I couldn't... hardly hit it..." he muttered through heavy breathing. He'd ended up on his back which would have usually embarrassed him but for the moment he just needed to get his senses back.

Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar

Post by Cipher Sun Apr 17, 2016 7:04 pm

In the midst of the fighting, Ezel tossed Aedan one of the blades he had, the blackette catching it and meeting blades with Kachidoki. A few images flashed through the Irish kid's head... Distracting him for a moment, though his stance... standing, it was all to solid for someone who should of been using a sword for the first time.

Another light caught Seifer's attention, though the chaos... He saw Yukino and Rosalia near each other. That was good. However, more pressing matters needed attending, as he saw Okuri fighting the Deletor... and it didn't go to well for him. "Tch... Mordred!"

"Right."

In a flash of purple light, where Mordred was once standing there was now a massive Abyss Dragon, Dragruler Phantom was on the battlefield once more. "Bashiro! Think Big Bang can hit it if we throw him and try to cover him at the same time?" he called out to the Brawler, from Dragruler's shoulder. ...Could that even work? Probably not, they're giant dragons. But who knows.

Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar

Post by Rosalia Izanami Sun Apr 17, 2016 7:14 pm

Rosalia was only happy that her help could be accepted. Being considered an on-site medic was probably the most important duty she could ever dream of doing! But Yukino was right; she wanted to help everyone that she could, yet the aces must be tended to first. It was hard to choose one life over another, but she was going to save them all. No one would die today if she could help it!

When the Chosen Sword charged ahead once more, the pinkette trailed behind at a slower pace. Her fight wasn't with the monster above, but rather the people that needed medical attention. She couldn't get to everyone in the Resistance though by herself, right?... Tapping the Reality Bangle, the familiar power of vanguard flowed through her veins and her deck. Materialized before her were four Angel Feather units: her two Legion pairs. This way, she could get to five times as many people than before! It was already starting to draw on Rosalia's inner reserves of energy though, so she would have to pace herself through this battle.

"You heard Oneesama! Let's spread out. Avoid the Reaper as much as possible since we're the medics, and get to work treating the wounded. Higher ranks first!" With that, the pinkette started her adventure across the battlefield. Holy Edge Celestial Malchedael, Overdose Celestial Asmodel, Clumsy Celestial Batrael, and Seizing Celestial Hael all flew low to the ground where vanguards stood, treating anyone that came their way. Their healing energy was much like Rosalia's: a warm, gentle light that would fill the wounds and heal them.

Asmodel flew over to Okuri's side first. Even if he just had the wind knocked out of him, the Angel Feather unit placed a hand over his forehead without waiting for an "okay" to treat him. The warm light energy would have filled him entirely, repairing any internal or external wounds, and helping him simply recover. "Take a moment to recover before jumping head first again into battle," the angel mused.

Xat smiled and followed after Aedan knowing he might need back up. Shirayuki then began to help Ezel and Garmore with the other murakumo units, and made an ice wall to try and keep most of the units out of the path. She looked at Ezel and Garmore and spoke. "If we defeat Magetsu then they will back off." SHe told them as she froze anouther murakumo in place.

Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar

Post by Megumin~min Sun Apr 17, 2016 7:42 pm

Mitsuki's team of Spike Brothers gathered up and tackled down the airborne Deletor through multiple barrage of attacks. Despite the 'very far' distance between Chimera and her units, with a power up from Bad End Dragger along with Bloody Ogle's Legion Skill, her units managed to overcome the distance especially for her MVP this time, Devildam Chemist, whom strikingly carried powers from double triggers, allowing it's power to skyrocket with its innate ability to double the attacking force. Furthermore with a hit and run tactic, Mitsuki was quite resistant to Chimera's locks and thus she was able to win her game.

"Not bad for a beginner" Bad End Dragger said, realizing it was only her second game in Vanguard.

"That...took...a lot more effort than I thought..." Mitsuki replied huffing and puffing. She saw a familiar face nearby and approached her cautiously and tiredly. It was Rosalia, the girl whom she met earlier. She was about to question why she would be here but then envisioned Yukino giving her a bangle which answered all her questions. Rosalia's unit were a soothing pink, healing and tending the internal and external wounds of people nearby her. "Miss Rosalia! I'm glad to see you here, well maybe not in a bad way but you can tell what I meant. I'd...appreciate...some help..thanks" Mitsuki said as her legs collapsed right in front of her. Perhaps due to the tiredness, her body was drenched in sweat and a few light wounds from the battle but it was nothing serious. Despite herself not being a high-ranked Resistance member, in fact just a rookie, she had confidence in her strength and believed she needed to recover as soon as possible to continue whittling down the Deletor.

Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar Empty Re: Reaper Invasion - Lion's Roar

Post by Best Girl Sun Apr 17, 2016 8:26 pm

Civilians were huddled up in the safety of barricades and underground shelters...

"Throw Big Bang?!" Bashiro stopped rushing to the right team when Seifer showed up with Dragruler. "I'unno if it'd work and be able to cover him. But I'm more concerned with the fact that I don't think he can be lifted!"

Kachidoki continued to clash with Aedan's blade, then turned to the Magatsu Typhoon and Storm underfire. With swift slashes, energy cuts broke the ice apart each time, and they proceeded to sent out Shadow Clones to assault Shirayuki.

Mitsuki proved herself to be an able supersoldier, having a glass cannon deck. Spike Brothers with Bad End Dragger and Bloody Ogre. If the Legion and Break Ride were successful, it'd create a supermassive power turn. However, delete ravaged break rides, so soldiers didn't have much faith. Still, Yukino continued to run with Mitsuki, having Seekers fight with them. Surprisingly, Mitsuki held out against the Reaper that could barely Counter Charge, and managed to get the grade three units necessary for the Crush Rush everyone saw in the tournament from Gastor without being deleted. The world knew the name "Devildan" today, as he was a scrawny-looking weakling at six thousand power until he could double his power with just a soul blast. Fifteen thousand from the Break Ride and Legion, ten thousand more from two triggers, it became an enormous swing over sixty thousand Chimera couldn't stop.

"The target isn't moving and we're getting closer!! Keep at it!" Yukino shouted as Chimera looked be taking some damage after the efforts of Okuri and Mitsuki. However, with a closed skull and being too far away, it didn't feel anything.

"Oi, Chosen Sword!" Chronos yelled as he zipped down the middle path to the general, advancing by amplifying his speed with time.

"God, not now, Chronos!"

"I'm here to help you, woman."

"Oh?"

"I finally figured out what Chronojet's boon was! Thanks to Haruka and Noel, humanity has a way out of the nightmare!"

"What?! Out with it!"

"Try to Stride!"

"Wh- No! We can't! It'll kill us! Our bodies all react to Stride as a desire to transcend, and it'll keep pushing us even though we don't have the potential!"

"I know that! You won't be Striding! Just tell your soldiers to pay the cost! It might not work against Harbinger and Sovereign, but it's Chimera! You... You have carefully pondered what I told you, and know what you can and can't beat. You know you can defeat Chimera, so do it."

"All soldiers, when your vanguard is deleted, discard cards from your hand that equal grade three or higher during your Ride Phase!" Yukino issued an order.

"Stride what-" Bashiro tried to react but the Big Bang Busters were barraged by void. Slash was locked and Knuckle was deleted! Well, that was convenient. Bashiro looked at the Perfect Guard and Skyhowl in hand, and cursed. Time to go for broke. "Alright then!" He shouted, tossing the cards away to the drop zone... and a miracle was in front of humanity. Light coated the greyed out thunder dragon and the orb of lock shined with a glorious power with the card inside of it. All watched as the leader of the Brawlers was revived to its full color, and the lock of Slash Buster was undone.

"WHAT?" Chimera screamed.

"WHAT?!" Solis and a number of other drones shouted.

"Wha-" Yukino was wide eyed yet again, with everyone frozen in shock.

"Chronojet could not leave you with Stride. However, he left you with the light of the ability to turn the vanguard face up, and a singular unlock. Had a drone won, they would have taken that light, and with it, your hope. Since Noel took out the last drone that could have made it, she and Haruka in the finals solidified the drones not being able to stop you. ... So this is your chance." Chronos explained, closing his eyes and remaining calm while keeping his stoic frown. The magnificent boon left behind by the Gear Dragon who appeared to care for them all so much, despite being part of why anything happened all these years with vanguard... The Chosen Sword looked up toward the sky. The people did as well.

Chimera began to sweat.

"Every last one of you! Pay the cost of Stride, and surpass Delete! Attack Chimera!!" Yukino roared as did the entire Resistance in response, charging at the aerial Reaper!!

You may now discard cards up to grade three or higher during your Ride Phase if your Vanguard is deleted, turn it face up, and unlock one of your rearguards!

Chimera isn't as far away now! Your chances to hit him aren't absolute, but this is a better chance than any!
